Battlezone, the mind-blowing PlayStation VR launch title from Rebellion, will be getting a boxed release on 13th October β and Sony's the one publishing it. The platform holder's partnered hard with the Oxford-based developer on this title, so it's no surprise to see the firm consummate the collaboration with a retail launch.
"2016 is the year of VR, and we are committed to providing a full range of the best and most innovative experiences for PlayStation VR at launch," said Sony's Usama Al-Qassab. "We've been working with a number of independent studios to bring their creative visions to life, and are delighted to be partnering with Rebellion to bring the classic Battlezone franchise to PlayStation VR."
We got to play Battlezone a little earlier in the year, and take it from us: you're going to want to add this one to your wishlist. Now you can choose to pick it up from either the PlayStation Store or on a Blu-ray, so you've got no excuses to skip it. Unless, of course, you're not planning on picking up a PlayStation VR headset β that'd be a decent reason.

Any idea of price?
This actually looks really good, I've got PSVR preordered and this is one of the titles I'm excited for along with World's, Batman and Resident Evil 7 (if it doesn't scare me too much)
Since your hyperbolic claims young Mr Barker, this has shot to the top of my VR most wanted list!
Everything there's a VR story, I realize I forgot about the whole VR launch.
Guess I'm not that interested in VR....
Well done, I wouldn't have paid full whack for it digitally anyway
