We have a feeling that this is going to be the first in a long line of No Man's Sky update articles, so consider this the beginning of a long and potentially arduous campaign. Hello Games has stated that it's currently working on a patch for the recently released space sim, although no specific update notes or release window have been given just yet.
However, it's nice to hear that the studio's looking into fixing the game's crashing - an issue that cost our very own Sammy Barker around an hour of progress just last night. Best get that sorted, eh?

I've had two crashes, both thankfully just after getting out of my ship and it had time to save (phew) but I'm still exploring my starter system 6 planets and 1 moon with the inevitable Galiffrey at the centre and Skaro (quite accurately named seeing as every life form I've encountered thus far has tried killing me) hanging of near the star.
I have had it crash 4 or 5 times but always when I first started up the game. It hasn't done it while I was actually playing.
The game has crashed on me a few times when warping between stars. Actually my first crash was the first time i booted up the game, it just hung there playing the music; took me about 10 minutes before I realized its not supposed to happen.
I had one crash last night, but only lost a few minutes of gameplay. Was mining and had two bots scan me and began opening fire, and was running back to my ship when the game froze my console.
Crashed after waypointing a new system and just after the start but that's it up to now.
After playing for about 20 hours, I've had two crashes. That's not ideal, obviously, but it's on par with The Witcher as far as crashing goes.
A weirder bug was after I looked at trading for a new ship early on, but after comparing it with my Alpha Vector pre-order bonus ship I realized it didn't have a warp drive and backed out before completing the trade (luckily, since apparently that can break the game). I kept my ship and everything was the same...the same # of slots, same gear/loot, etc..., but visually my ship had changed to the one I had been looking at. It stayed that way for probably 8 hours of gameplay. Then, without warning or any reason that I noticed, it suddenly reverted back to the Alpha Vector ship. Weird.
Had it crash on me 5 times in a row this morning, trying to craft some stuff and break into the manufacturing plant to get antimatter blueprints that are in there. Frustrating, but willing to wait for the patch to hopefully fix it. Luckily no extreme time wasted.
Not crashed yet, but a couple of bugs whereas launching from the surface of a planet can fire me directly into orbit.
Not a had a single crash and I'm coming up to 20 hrs of play, I must be lucky lol.
I had a weird glitch where I was on a planet and got into my ship and the screen jutted and I was in space 15mins away from the planet I was just on lmao.
I haven't had any issues yet which is great but ive heard off these horrid crashes so lets get those fixed promto.
7 crashes in 4 hours of play last night, 4 when warping. At least they are on it, and I just make sure I save my progress before warping in case. Annoying but working around it.
I've played the game, I love it; however in the last day crashes have become unbearable and no one seems to have it worse then I do. Let me repeat Ik not hating on NMS I love it to bits, however I can now no longer play my game. It literally crashes after being in the game for 2 minutes or less, if I try to land somewhere to change the save I get out the ship and I'm about to touch the ground (and thus save the game) and my game crashes. So it seems we have another Battlefield 4 on our hands everybody. Amazing potential, released with glitches and bugs. Seriously reconsider buying this game you haven't, maybe wait a couple of weeks so you can enjoy the game as it should be enjoyed. 🙂
I've had a a few crashes. My most common fault is losing connection to the servers. Neither of which has detracted from my gaming experience. Yes it can feel repetitive, and I usually detest rinse and repeat games, but I find myself investing hours just exploring. I fully understand and respect those of the more disappointed folk with this game though. I can only see this holding my attention until Deus Ex comes out.
1 crash so far, but the game restarted back at the point it crashed.
lovevthe game but it sometimes crashes when loadind up the game and I can't seem to warp to another star system without it crashing. played fine for about fifteen hours without a single crash. even did a hard reset and reinstalled the patch and game. might try warping to a system that is not or a route. funny thing is I just got a wormhole coordinate and ever since then I haven't been able to warp without chashing. really annoying. if you haven't bought the game yet you should wait at least a month before purchasing. definately get your hands on it eventually though. worth it.
Only one crash so far, and I'd taken about 15 steps outside of my ship so made no difference whatsoever, quick restart and away I went, no further issues. There's definitely a lot of things I'd like to see fixed or changed, but enjoying it so far and spending much more time on it than I realize! Easy to lose a few hours, very chilled and easy going game and I'm enjoying that as a change of pace to everything else I've been playing recently.
