What's the best way to get great marketing material? Interview people immediately after trying virtual reality for the first time. Seriously, the tech is so mind-blowing at first attempt that you're practically guaranteed a quality clip or three – as this Batman: Arkham VR video shot at the San Diego Comic-Con proves.
To be fair, there's some new gameplay footage included in this trailer, which gives you a better look at the type of experience you can expect. Activities include donning the cowl, fitting your utility belt, and bringing down bad guys. At a price point of $19.99, it may be a little steep for what Rocksteady's got in store.
Still, how much would you pay to be Batman for a few hours?

Be the Rayman, b/c I'm pretty sure Batman has arms.
@rjejr Haha. I'd buy Rayman VR.
@rjejr I left a comment on /r/psvr once asking why every VR game starred Rayman. No one got it. ::shrug::
Glad to know I'm not the only one
@glassmusic I didn't know it was every game. I thought I saw it early in this vid, but then I was like "nah" couldn't be, but then at the end it's really obvious when the glove picks up the mask. I guess there's a reason VR can do hands but not arms, but it's weird to see in action.
I've already been the Batman last year in Arkham Knight, this however looks just meh.
Will the game come with a pointy ears attachment?
@rjejr that kind of effect is pretty jarring actually, but this is the first time I've even seen hands! I saw a clip a couple of months ago (I think) of a game where you're shooting things from a car and there were no hands. Only the gun floating in the air. That was the moment when my already feeble interest towards VR took the final blow and died.
Already pre-ordered it on Amazon. I would've paid extra for the bat ears haha.
If I buy ps vr this is one of the several games that I'll buy (along with battlezone, eve, farpoint and vr worlds).
@rjejr @clvr I think the hand effect is only visible if you watch it in video, if you see it in ps vr it's not too visible. Try ps vr if you can, it's really unfortunate if you dismiss it before you try it. I already try gear vr and it's cool enough that I really excited about ps vr.
@Bluetrain7 Maybe warner bros or sony should make the ear preorder bonus haha..
@wiiware Well I'm dismissing it b/c of the $400 price more than anything else. And I only game 2 ways - w/ my wife watching, or multiplayer w/ my kids. Neither of those work well w/ a headset strapped on removing me from the outside world. It just isn't for me. I also hate first person, don't play any of those.
Another thing is I'm planning on buying a PS4k Neo, and a 4k tv to go along w/ it. Why would I want a headset on after spending $800 for a 55" 4k TV? I think Sony has a hard sell trying to push 4k tvs and VR headsets at the same time. Personally I think 4k wins, PSVR goes the way of 3D gaming.
