It's taken a long time for Titanfall to arrive on the PlayStation 4, but you can finally take Titanfall 2 for a spin as part of the game's free technical test. Available to download right now from the European and North American PlayStation Stores, the open multiplayer beta will run all weekend, and will include two maps and modes for you to try. It'll then restart on 26th August with some additional content for you to sample.
Remember, this is totally free – you don't have to pre-order or sign up to some shite website to get access. Even better, you don't even need a PlayStation Plus membership to play online. Will you be giving this technical test a spin, then? Drop a Titan in the comments section, and let us know what you think.

Yep, first one was great, glad to see the sequel on ps4.
The download size is 12 GB FYI. Can't wait to get off from work today!!
I will certainly be checking it out. I like these free tests because typically with online multiplayer I only need to play a few hours of a game to satisfy my interest.
Same happened with Overwatch. I really loved playing the open beta but after it was over I didn't feel the need to play it ever again.
Just downloaded this, will remote play a bit this afternoon, if it lets me.
@kupo I just started the download through the PS Store app. If you leave your PS4 in rest mode this is an invaluable tip.
@sketchturner you're definitely missing the boat on Overwatch then. It's a great game to log many many hours in. To learn each character's minutiae.

Cant play the online....its not live yet ffs
@Lebbick Yeah, that's what I've done! I also told my wife that the internet doesn't work and she can't use Playstation Vue / Netflix / Hulu...that leaves ALL the bandwidth to my download, heh heh heh.
Downloaded the first gb or so, and my router has died, replacement not coming till Wednesday. Missed the boat on this one.
So titanfall tech demo contains .... No titans. Interesting choice. The action is as fast paced as before, don't like the hook though... What is it with games in 2016?! Do they all have to have a hook shot?!
Only tried one of the maps and thought it was trash, doesnt play to the games strengths regarding movement, some of the maps from the first game were so good.
