A few hours ago, Sony basically confirmed that it'll be officially revealing the PS4K - or Neo as it's also known - at an event in New York on the 7th September. Exciting stuff, but we've already had a few people asking us whether or not the show will be streamed online. Fortunately, we've got an answer via Polygon.
According to the publication, Sony has stated that the event will indeed be livestreamed, so you won't have to worry about jetting off to the Big Apple in order to get your first glimpse of the supercharged console. Naturally, we'll be hosting the stream right here on Push Square.
Will you be joining us for the big reveal, or are you not really bothered about the mid-gen jump? Start making plans in the comments section below.

Thanks guys. My kids and I will be here. As it turns out they'll both just be getting home from their first day back to school after summer vacation.
I'll be here. I'm really excited to finally see the console and find out all there is to know. I just worry that if they release too close to the PSVR, a lot of people won't be able to purchase both. That could damage initial sales
Finally. I have been prepping for psvr. And I'll be likely switching this for the old ps4 to help make a smoother experience.
New York.the city in the world.best city ever.oh yeah I live in New York.had a lot of fun back in the 90s.nioh on neo.legendary ha ha.word up
I just want to play sony exclusive games at 60 fps, if neo can do that, I'm in
Question is what else would there be to the stream other than reveal, release date and pricing
Looking forward to finally getting some clear answers about this. I get the feeling I'm going to buy the new version when it's out. It does depend on a few factors but the idea of improved framerates and overall performance is tempting. Not too worried about 4k though, that's a ways off before it's mainstream just yet. 4k video sure, but solid 1080p60 is all I really want from my games right now.
@DualWielding Well, they'll have to explain why they're making this console, what it can do, what it looks like, how much it'll cost, what games are going to support it. I'm sure they'll have some new demos for Horizon: Zero Dawn and (probably) Call of Duty lined up. They'll also probably drop the price of the standard PS4.
It won't be a marathon press conference, but I bet it'll be at least 45 minutes long.
No doubt I will be here to follow along with you lot
Roll on PS VITA 2!
@Anchorsam_9 we can dream, man
I think its perturbing that Polygon, whom at launch where anti ps and pro xbox get the exclusive playstation news.
@get2sammyb "It won't be a marathon press conference, but I bet it'll be at least 45 minutes long."
I agree w/ everything else you said, but don't you think they'll have some PSVR stuff too? A PSVR segment could take up 30 minutes just doing a live demonstration of how to hook up all of those wires to the PS4.
@rjejr If it's true that PS4K is not designed to improve PSVR performance, then I doubt they'll really mention it much, other than a token "coming soon" gesture.
