August's PlayStation Plus games are now available to download in Europe, so get signed in and add those bad boys to your library of backlog despair. This month's selection should launch later today in North America.
In case you've forgotten, August's controversial offering includes Tricky Towers and Rebel Galaxy on PlayStation 4, while PlayStation 3 gets the brilliant Yakuza 5, and the Vita nabs PSP title Patapon 3. Even we'll admit that it's not the strongest lineup that we've ever seen, but we'll say nothing more in order to avoid sparking another parade of negativity.
Are you looking forward to getting stuck in? Let us know if you'll be saving these freebies for a rainy day in the comments section below.

I bought Rebel Galaxy this last month!
But thoroughly enjoying it, being Mal Reynolds is pretty cool 😂
I'm downloading Rebel Galaxy for my space fix until next week.
I don't get Sony, it's hardly gonna break the bank for them if they include the likes of Knack, Killzone or any other release game.
@itshoggie killzone is terrible - who wants that?
Cant wait for tricky towers and rebel galaxy!
Looking for opponents for tricky towers in the forums. Time to get your tetronimo powers blazing.
Not gonna get those rubbish indies
I ran over to the store, went through checkout, and then realized "I'm not even going to bother downloading any of these."
Every month I think ps plus can't get worse or stay as mediocre as the previous month but Sony some how manage both pretty much time after time.
I miss how the ps plus was back in the good old days before ps4 where my PS3 was spoilt for choice every month.
Meh, will probably download Rebel Galaxy.
Good thing i have no mans sky and batman telltale this month because these all look terrible (tricky towers looks ok but none of my friends will want to play it with me)
Gotta love snarky, sarcastic journalism. Stay classy.
That tetris game is actually a lot of fun x)
Also, Rebel Galaxy is great, I am enjoying it
They're just keeping the motto going 'greatness awaits' hilarious
Rebel galaxy is kinda crappy but I realised that when I bought it months ago. Tricky Towers is pretty great, will be keeping that on my PS4.
@Spooke2k You do realize that PS+ on the PS3 wasn't even that great until a year before PS4 released and it was out for quite awhile before that.
This whole mentality of I want this game or give us a AAA game. guess what, if Sony listened to that person, then 10 more would complain because they already have that title. It's almost like people just have to whine about these free games. their free, deal with it and move on. LOL my goodness.
I mean, am I the only one that feels grown up enough to just say "those titles aren't my thing, I'll wait and see what's next month". It wasn't long ago that the PS4 had a couple of awesome games on the PS+. really though, you can't win them all and that is definitely a proper quote for this.
@Kamikaze_Krunch look at my other posts there are lots of other games which I like indie and all about opinion but ps plus isn't as good as was in my opinion
@itshoggie
"Knack" "Killzone" So instead of supposed indie mediocrity, people want supposed AAA mediocrity?
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi
It never gets old!
@Punished_Boss_84 id play Killzone or Knack over Tricky Towers , But that's just me. I know people like Indie games, personally I only like play them on my Vita, that's why I'd prefer AAA games.
Played all three yesterday, and had more fun with them than expected. They're not GOTY contenders or anything, but OK enough for freebies.
@Punished_Boss_84 Knack was 6,99 in the store so many times I just bought it. Killzone was 20 retail a year ago with the seasonpass. I rather get a good indie.
@Flaming_Kaiser @itshoggie
Yeah, I just find the whole situation funny. Still, I can't blame people, I'm not particularly attracted to indie games.
Might try these today not expecting much RG look's and sound's rubbish and TT surely they meant to put that onto mobile phone's or tablet's but they pressed the wrong button?? It look's dire.
@xMEADx I'm begging you, please learn how to use apostrophes correctly.
It's pretty garbage this month, but I'll still add them to my library considering it's in my fees.
@Spooke2k the main point is, is that you can compared PS3 PS+ all you want, but when it first came out they had to sell that thing like no tomorrow, then once it was 1 year before PS4 released, that is when the good games came out. on the PS3, PS+ was on there for a good while before the awesome games even came out. o.O
@Kamikaze_Krunch true but my favourite game realeased on Ps plus is outlast and resogun do far and it's been downhill for me since I don't mind non aaa I just want games which are good to play and for me ps plus is lackjng
