Sony held its annual Tokyo Game Show press conference earlier today, which was well assembled if a little light on content. While the platform holder didn't have a whole lot of new content to show, it did offer meaningful updates on a slew of different titles, attaching release dates to anticipated exclusives like NieR Automata and NiOh.
It was a good, varied briefing, with a mix of Japanese and Western games. The manufacturer also did a decent job demonstrating its various hardware initiatives, with PlayStation VR in particular being treated to a dozen or so "non-game" announcements, which is where the future of virtual reality probably lies.
Here's everything you need to know so far, but we'll update this recap as soon as more trailers and stories from the press conference are posted on the site.

Another Sony conference gone by, another missed chance to announce Dark Cloud 3. Damnit Sony when will you learn?
its needs to be soon Dark Cloud 3 is a dream annoucement for me - maybe at Playstation Experience?
Looks like I did well to sleep on this event... Because it doesn't seem like I missed much besides delays?
@Punished_Boss_84 What was delayed?
Nothing of interest, unfortunately.
@get2sammyb
Oops' I forgot Nier Automata was delayed at E3 & Hot Shots Golf PS4 was never dated.
So it's just Nioh.
a bit meh, but i think Sony is more focused on hardware sales this holiday season. I for one am glad that Sony doesnt rush their AAA games out, extra time is generally a good thing(except in TLGs case lol). And havent we all learned by now that Sony rarely tries to release ots AAA games in the gauntelet of 3rd party releases of the joliday season.
What about Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8?
NiOh and NieR. NothHing MorE fOr mE From JapaN,
Nothing much new there but at least these was some release dates.
Ni no kuni 2.... thats what im here for, when not researching for black friday on the biggest single purchase day of my life tech wise...
Well this is pretty underwhelming.
You forgot to mention the kingdom Hearts 2.8 delay and new trailer
One thing of note is that the Koei Tecmo guy said it was working with Sony to make more announcements this year, which means Sony still has one more presser to go.
PSX?
@get2sammyb I hope so. Sony announced quite a lot of stuff post E3 last year, at TGS and PGW. It would be a bummer to have to wait till next year's E3 for more game announcements.
