The nights are drawing in and the skies have turned a subtle shade of grey; the summer's officially over and it's time to start thinking about investing in a new woolly jumper or three. The good news is that while the sun goes on annual leave, games are beginning to release, and while we're not quite in the thick of the silly season just yet, it's right around the corner. Hype!

I'm going to be popping pills and nodding my head to filthy saw waves like a crazed drug addict this weekend. No, I'm not off to Creamfields or anything like that – I've got to pump out my Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 review as it's a little late.

It's the last weekend before Rise of Iron launches, so I'll be trying to add to my pile of strange coins in Destiny. I can see Sammy shaking his head from here.

I'm increasingly getting the feeling that Destiny is actively trolling me. Every time I finish what I think is the last quest on my log, it promptly serves up another. I will not give in, but I'm running out of time if I want to achieve my goal before Rise of Iron drops. It's not all Destiny this weekend, though, as I'll be playing the Dead Rising Triple Pack, and serving up some zombie smashing action to a live stream at some point Saturday night.

I'm reliving some of my childhood's best memories with a replay of Final Fantasy VIII right now, and I'm absolutely loving it. I'll also spend some time on the superb PES 2017: Pro Evolution Soccer which, after spending about two days pulling in licences and kits via option files, is now finally presented as well as it plays.

I'm jumping back into No Man's Sky this weekend for a fresh dose of slow, chilled out space exploration. When it all gets a bit too lonely out in the cosmos, I'll come back down to Earth to play some Rocket League and Worms W.M.D with friends.

So without any betas or games having free weekends, this weekend I am returning to the Borderlands series with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on the PS4.
Short but sweet this week, then – but with almost 100 comments last time out, we're sure that you'll do the talking for us. We just have one question left to ask: what are you playing this weekend? Let us know below.
Comments 54
007 Legends (Wii U) - This is an okish shooter, like the multiplayer more then the campaign.
Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition (Win 10) - Still trying to finish random feats.
Uno (WP) - Finally crushed my friends in the leaderboards.
Monster Hunster Generations and I'll probably pick up a PSN game that's to be decided..
At work so...nothing
@BLPs Work. So nothing for me as well.
Lots of Alien Isolation. Such a terrific game!
Also playing Titan Souls, Black Ops 3, and EDF 4.1.
@sketchturner AI is just fantastic isn't it?
@sketchturner Alien Isolation is brilliant. I'd love to experience something like that in VR.
Work... So nothing until my off days. I just finished up Deus Ex Mankind Divided last night, apparently. The game is a lot shorter than I was expecting of a Deus Ex game. Seems shorter than Human Revolution even... Oh well. I'll New Game + it to kill time until Final Fantasy 15. Also need to finish up Doom's campaign and finally start Valkaria (is that how it's spelled?) Chronicles Remastered.
Not much time on ps4 so going to return to Gravity Rushton vita. I was halfway through a replay of tlou but if I do get to ps4, may jump straight into bioshock as it has hit my doormat.
@SPGFan34 Weekends ain't time offor here at EE XD. Might have an hour a night to play I guess at mkst
Uncharted 4 I want to play overwatch but some of the people who play this game give me a headache
Might do Tearaway unfolded with the kids, or King's Quest. At night, I'll continue pursuing Lords of the Fallen which is a rather mediocre game but hey, its free.
Pro Evolution soccer 2017. Popping to P.I.L.
1 outpost, 2 fortresses and 5 campaign missions and I will be finally done with Farcry 4. Hopefully move onto God of War 3 remaster.
Bioshock Collection. Until RoI on Tues, no other games exist
I finally got the platinum on FFX remaster, but whilst I still need to max out the inventory I'm a bit bored of grinding gil in the arena.
So, with that in mind I'll probably go back to the simpler? times that were 80s and do some R-Type Dimensions and eventually pass stage 6 on a console.
Dead space 3 on the PS3. The last few chapters.
FINALLY finished Persona Golden this week...but I missed something so I didant get the perfect ending...but as I think I know where I went wrong I'll reload the save and try again..(Will never get bored of this game)
Just Started Star Ocean Integrity and Faithfulness and first impressions weren't good but will give it a bash.
Bloodborne! After Lightning fails to save Snow in FF13-3, he wakes up in Yharnam where he has joined the hunt, hoping to escape his nightmare.
Man this game is sooo good. Can't believe I held off so long. I like Dark Souls but Bloodbornes' combat really gets your adrenaline going. At work at the moment, but I'm itching to return home & deal some sweet revenge to the Darkbeast Paarl.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on PS3 and VEGA Conflict on Steam. Though I mostly just booted up the latter game and linked it to my Facebook account. Today marks the day I actually downloaded some (F2P) games through Steam ever since I created my account. Quite suprised they didn't erase it after all this time.
I finished Arkham Asylum last night and I'm now trying to get through the challenges so I can get 100% completion. The fighting ones really make my fingers ache and my anger rise as I'm just not good enough with the hit/counter thing.
@Grawlog but what are you playing?
Bioshock collection for me! Also Destiny.
Xbox One- Dead or Alive 5 LR
PS4- King of Fighters 14, Metal Slug(PS2)
Animal Crossing on 3DS
I wanna play the Resident Evil VII demo (it updated, right?) and Homefront: The Revolution but instead I'm stuck on the road with Yo-Kai Watch 1 (not really a bad thing, but I've got an itchy trigger finger)!!
Unfortunately work this weekend, so not much. I've been picking away at uncharted 4 and ori and the blind forest the past few days, so I'll probably keep doing that.
@Grawlog Markiplier has brazilians of subscribers on YT.
Oh, and Ni No Kuni would be nice on EU PS Now please Sony.
Deus Ex. Verrry slowly. Loving everything about it. Took care of side missions and now its time to git down to biddness.
@Mega-Gazz I've recently started on Tearaway (for the second time) clever game but its downsides prevent the excitement of something more immediate. Bouncing drum skins and nut throwing squirrels cant disguise its lack of gameplay and fun, its all so mundane in an amazingly stylized way.
So for me;
Tearaway PS4
Videoball PS4
Ridge Racer Vita
Still playing Diva X but today my belated KOF 14 copy arrives and I gotta give my extra Diva X copy to a friend who keeps demanding it.
Will try to beat Hue as I have all colours already. Need to squeeze some Picross too.
X1
ReCore
Bioshock Collection
3DS
Dragon Quest VII
Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse
Wii U
[nothing]
PS4
One Way Heroics Demo
Vita
[el zilcho nata]
I'm not sure what I'll play, since my PS3 has been having trouble with reading discs lately. I wanted to play more Uncharted, but the game just can't run on the thing for some reason.
I'm almost done playing Assassin's Creed 1 (PS3), just cleared Memory Block 6.
After this I plan on starting Assassin's Creed II (PS3) immediately.
@Grawlog
I'm loving it. I keep hearing the end game sucks- all kinds of issues like fetch quest, difficulty spikes, etc, but all I can judge is what I've played so far. And 5 hours in- loving it.
I told myself even if the the game stops being fun toward the end, and even if I stop playing at that point, I won't regret my time spent. If I'm having this much fun along the way, screw it. Take what you like, leave the rest, right?
Going to use my birthday money to get Rise of Iron.
@get2sammyb Hah, yeah but I don't know if my heart could handle the xenomorph in VR. I'm already pooping myself as it is.
Valkyria Chronicles, MGS5, GTA5, Fallout 4
Only have tonight to play but I'll try to squeeze in some Arkham Knight which I'm enjoying and some PES 2017. PES is good but despite being a footy fan, Fifa or PES never really click with me so far PES has really excited me either but ill probably keep coming back to it
I'm playing The Evil Within.
Bioshock for me. Also Wolfenstein the old blood. Tempted to buy hitman. Hearing a lot of good things about that game.
A little Pac Man CE2, a little F1 2016, then next week it's Forza Horizon 3 launch.
Finally finished MGSV today - well, "chapter 1" anyway. LOVED it. Think I might wait to finish the second chapter since I've heard it's really controversial. Played a little bit of it but I'm in the mood for something else. Just don't know what to play without spending money.
Also playing The 3rd Birthday for PSP. Hitting the wayback log.
PS4 - Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Xbox One - ReCore
@Grawlog
I've heard the PC version performs better but aside from frame rate issues when the action heats up, the Xbox One version is fine. Both have horrendous load times but aside from those problems it's a good game.
@Grawlog
Xboxachievements and Dualshockers both provide great Xbox coverage but yeah, not having Pure Xbox sucks. Unfortunately that website is a prime example of why you can't run a console-specific website without some sensationalism or corporate slavery.
Alienation - I hope to get to diamond league by midnight
Sky force - really addictive classic shooter
Samurai Warriors 4 - II attempting to complete all stages on nightmare
I've re-subbed to FFXIV so I'll be doing a few Moogle quests.
Lego Avengers, Ratchet and Clank and The Last Of Us.
@ztpayne7 chapter 2 is great. Just avoid the 'harder' versions of the earlier missions. They are optional and just jog on with the story. I enjoyed chapter 2 but its all over the place trying to tie the loose ends together, but quiets end story and the stuff with the giant mech thingy Is great.
Camping this weekend , but that won't stop me from gaming, since I brought my 3ds. I'll be playing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Digger Dan.
Nothing again. Too much damn work to do, grrrr.......
Back at just cause 3 and of course nhl 17
