Yes, you read that headline right: Final Fantasy XV has officially gone gold. In other words, the game is finished and ready to be mass produced. A surreal realisation, we're sure you'll agree.
Final Fantasy XV has technically been in development for around ten years, ever since it was first revealed as PlayStation 3 title Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Most of us here at Push Square were still enduring the education system when it was initially announced - heck, our resident young reviewer Sam Brooke was probably still wearing nappies. Crazy!
Anyway, it's only a month or so now until the game finally hits store shelves. Will there be any last minute drama? We sure hope not, but you should still keep your fingers crossed in the comments section below.

C'mon now, this is Square we are talking about!
I'm sure they can squeeze one more delay in there.
End of an era...literally! p.s. the music of that new cinematic trailer floating around is terrible, use Yoko's music please!
I'll believe it when I can buy it.
Yes 1 month to go! Cant wait.
Final fantasy XV and the last guardian gone gold, I never thought i'd see the day..
@wiiware This is basically the thought of every long time PS player.
I have played this hands-on two times until now. But both of them were around twenty minutes so that what I could do is limited.
I can't wait to hang and poke around here and there.
THE END IS NIGH!!
Just need shenmue 3 and final fantasy 7 remastered going gold to complete the apocalypse.
Way to go devs, congrats. Can't wait to play it!
