Unless you really like Monster Hunter spin-offs, there's not really much to talk about when it comes to the latest Japanese sales charts. Capcom's new Nintendo 3DS title unsurprisingly topped the software list, while the only fresh PlayStation release to make the top 20 was BlazBlue: Central Fiction. The stylish fighting game sequel entered in second place on Sony's current-gen console, but only sold through 20,608 copies. Meanwhile, Persona 5 refuses to budge in third.
Despite a lack of new software, though, the PS4 held on to its spot at the summit of the hardware charts yet again. The recently released Slim model shifted another 31,071 units, which is a pretty healthy figure considering the state of Japan's current home console market.

Minecrafts long residency has finally emigrated from the UK chart to the Japanese chart.
Two things that I like, Monster Hunter and turn-based RPGs. Wished Monster Hunter Stories was on the PS4.lol
I'm wondering...of those very few people that bought the X-box One, what game did they actually get with it?
Anyways, glad to see the PS4 is growing strong! It seems that Sony and Nintendo dominate over there, but I'm still wondering on what Microsoft is doing wrong over there, to where their systems never seem to sell?
Xbox isn't doing well in Japan because it's less powerful than a PS4 for the "enthusiasts" so to say and Xbox is a western console. Japan doesn't want western games, and if they do pretty much all of them come to PS4 too, they want Asian games and obviously PS4, Vita and especially 3DS are the go to platforms for such games.
