Media Molecule's borderline cringe working culture has culminated in the creation of a new satellite studio based in Brighton. The Guildford-based organisation has opened the new workspace in order to accommodate a group of devs who have been commuting from the seaside town for many years. While those on location will still make regular trips to the studio's headquarters, they'll primarily be able to work locally with a lot less travel time.
"The Brighton space is a light and airy studio set within Lighthouse, a multi-purpose working and arts venue situated in a former printworks in the heart of the North Laine," the company explained on its blog. "We share this space with six other creative organisations who all work from the suites housed within the building. It's fantastic to be working alongside such a varied mix of creative, inspiring companies."
There are currently four people working from the new space, but the developer is open to recruiting new staffers in the Brighton area, expanding its reach a little. With Brighton already being home to a vibrant development community, we're sure that this office will grow as development on PlayStation 4 exclusive Dreams really begins to ramp up. Hilariously, it appears to be located opposite that piece of graffiti that everyone who visits Brighton gets their photo taken in front of.

"Media Molecule's borderline cringe working culture"
1. wut?
2. Please stop voicing your opinions like they match everyone else's views!
@viciousarcanum I agree though. Like working at the Innocent Smoothie company. Staff chill out rooms with beanbags, an office dog and no shoe policy. It's like that Life Invader mission on GTA5.
Yuck. Do some work
@kyleforrester87 Thank you!
@get2sammyb whatever, don't pretend Pushsquare Towers is any different
borderline cringe working culture
Come on, PushSquare, you're loads better than that!
For a moment I thought they got a second dev team; as in working on two games at the same time. I liked their previous stuff, but I'm unfortunately not as interested in Dreams. That game is taking ages by the way, isn't it?
@Octane As has happened too many times recently, I think it was just announced waaaay too early. Gives the illusion that it's taking especially long.
Cool that they've got a new studio! Looking forward to seeing more of Dreams
@Quintumply Yeah, figured that's the case. I get older and times seems to fly by faster, yet I'm becoming more impatient by the minute!
@Quintumply They have been working on it since LBP2, though, so it is taking them forever TBF.
Tearway was just a 15 person team, I believe.
Right opposite a Starbucks and just down the road from the best burger place in Brighton. Not a bad location
@get2sammyb Ah really? Didn't know that. I guess it is taking a long time, then! Hopefully it's worth the wait!
