The holiday season is well and truly upon us, which means that this week probably represents your final opportunity to clear your backlog – unless you're already busy with FIFA 17, of course. The coming weeks will see the introduction of a not-so insignificant number of games, including Mafia III, Battlefield 1, and more. Are you ready for the impending influx?

I'll be rearranging my entire media centre in order to make room for PlayStation VR. I imagine it's going to be a bit like a puzzle game involving copious cables.

I've been in a dark, dark place this week. I can't concentrate, sleep has been elusive to say the least, and I haven't eaten properly in days. The source of my stress? Darkest Dungeon of course! This adversity will continue over the weekend, as I push both myself, and my roster of heroes, to the limit in this dungeon crawler. When that all gets too much, I'll also be hopping on the Destiny loot treadmill, as I try and get raid ready.

I'm pretty excited to play the remaster for Resident Evil once it joins the Instant Game Collection, but until then I'll probably be spending a lot of my time with some of my standbys of NHL 16 and Rainbow Six: Siege. Sure, I could upgrade to NHL 17, but based on how little I cared for the demo, I think I'd rather just stick with what I have.

I'm still plugging away at Final Fantasy VIII from the original PlayStation (and loving every second of it, I might add), so I expect to put some more time into that. I'll also be watching the football this weekend and mixing it up with a little FIFA 17 or PES 2017. Choices, choices, eh?

I'm playing Aragami this weekend! I'm looking forward to seeing if the stealth gameplay is as fun and fluid as it looks. Besides review duty, I'll be squeezing in some Overwatch and The Witness as well.

I'm going to delve into the dark and dismal world of Playdead's Inside this weekend. I want to see for myself why it's held in such high regard. Elsewhere, I'll lighten things up with a spot of multiplayer in Rocket League or Overwatch.

This weekend I am heading out so my main source of gaming will be the 3DS in the form of Harvest Moon 2 on the VC and some Mario Kart 7.
That's what we're busy playing, but what about you? You know the drill by now: plot out your plans in the comments section below.

I'm currently playing lego dimensions, just bought the 6 new year 2 packs. Also playing some kingdom hearts 2 final mix HD.
This week is for Azure Striker Gunvolt 2.
Continue my venture in the world of Okami HD.
Continuing my trilogy play through of Mass Effect with ME2 (my fave game ever), and some XCOM 2 mixed in. Only a few hours in but absolutely loving it so far. Its my aliens must die (or be romanced) weekend
PS4- King of Fighters 14, Street Fighter V
Wii U- Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8
Xbox One- Killer Instinct, Dead or Alive 5 LR
3DS- Animal Crossing, Mario Golf, and Monster Hunter 4
I'm addicted to flattening the world in the Dragon Quest Builders demo, so probably lots of that. And a bit of The Crew which I'm still into as The Summit ends this weekend and I'm still working towards some crazy meta-Trophies.
@darkswabber I picked up BA, the 4 player is interesting, my kids had a lot of fun. Got Bane for free, kids needed the drill. I think Sonic is next for us, my kids and I have limited interests.
Finally started Bayonetta 2 last night. Only played for about 45 minutes but man that game is good. Contrary to popular belief Wii U is capable of great graphics and mature content.
The gaming this weekend wii be all about FIFA 17 for me!
Probably finishing off my Hunters quest for the Outbreak Prime - my 3rd and final one on Xbox. Need to start the PS4 RoI as well so may do that afterwards.
@ferrers405 That reminds me, I still need to finish the first one. Maybe I will play some of that too this weekend.
I think I'll be messing about in Shadow of Mordor to try and tie up the extra missions and DLC.
This week, i will be anxiously awaiting the release of Mafia 3, which i'm hoping will be a very good game but i am cautiously optimistic knowing the second one is my favourite game of all time.
The Bunker for a few minutes to get the Platinum
F1 2016
<--- in my vain attempt to get the WR
Doing the developer's commentary for Firewatch (along with the additional trophies) and then it's time to deal with two problematical women.... The Witch of Hemwick and Vicar Amelia. Think I need to thank the IGN Prepare To Try boys for getting me back into Bloodborne after pretty much giving up on it last year. I am now a much more patient gamer.... well... kind of.
I'm dangerously close to Uncharted 3's platinum, I can literally sniff it. So this weekend will hopefully be spent on a Crushing run for my 12th platinum, but in reality it'll likely be me fighting with my PS3 to get the game to work.
Still on Bloodbornes' Chalice Dungeons but I can finally see a light. After countless deaths only 1 boss separates me from Yharnam.
Also been meaning to watch Kingsglaive, which I'll get to tonight unless my internet decides to crap out on me.
Got to finish off God of war 3. Then that's going to be part of my 5 games that I swap when I get my ps4 pro. Unless any friends want to swap out an old game with one of mine as apparently it doesn't matter what games I trade, bar fifa., so far my ever-changing list is. God of war 3, until dawn, cod ghost, wolfenstien and just dance 14.
Some Lego Batman 3 and Diablo 3 for me this weekend.
Still havin a blast with Deus Ex Mankind Divided and also playing The 3rd Birthday on my PSP.
I tried to get into Divinity Original Sin, but sadly it just didn't work out, the running speed in that game is just way too slow.
So instead now I finally try to get into the Legend of Heroes series which I've been ignoring for way too long, bought the 2 localised games on the PSP, so hopefully I won't end up disappointed.
Only got the 3ds and wp7 til wed so Paper Mario 4, Zelda A Link Between Worlds and Burn The Rope I think.
FFXIV. The new patch has sunk its grindy claws into me yet again.
@Expa0 Try again. Then try twenty more times. And keep trying till you're into it. Then come back and thank me
Finishing my first pass on Bioshock for the plat. Need to then just playthrough on Survivor. I wanted to take a break this week and play Dear Esther then maybe Far Cry 4 DLC so I may get to it but at this rate, I'll be saying the same thing again next week.
It's my parents Golden wedding Anniversary today so been a busy crowded day so no time for myself until now.Getting a puppy tomorrow so don't think I'm going to get much gaming in but even so I'm going to try and finally get a new tv next week
Games..right,for what's left of today I'm going to continue with Star Ocean and also Far Cry Blood Dragon which I started yesterday...loving it!
Still addicted to Diva X. Slowly working towards the Plat.
If I touch other games it could be Picross (3D or Zelda) or maybe something on Wii U.
Just Rise of Iron for now! Can't wait for Transformers this Wed though!!
XCOM 2!
Does anyone else has low fps when the mission is loading and the occasional crash? It's really annoying ..
I've been playing more of Assassin's Creed II (PS3), just finished Sequence 06: Rocky Road.
Xbox One - Forza Horizon 3
PS4 - Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Hopefully get a half hour on Ridge Racer Vita tonight and edge forward in the Bunker PS4 tomorrow. Zero time to game at the moment, sad times
Forza Horizon 3. Just getting into the meat of the game.
I've 3 challenges remaining in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. The last few challenges are pretty tough for me, but hopefully I'll get that platinum tomorrow. Then it's Hitman for most of October.
I'm actually grabbing a few trophies for Everybody's ... Rapture. Started and finished in a day when it first came out, never went back for the plat. So that's what I'm up to today.

Forza Horizon 3
Lost Odyssey [360]

Dragon Quest VII
Azure Striker Gunvolt 2
Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final
Noitu Love Devolution
Wii U

@Tasuki
I didn't like the first because it was so dang hard, but I played a good hour of Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 today and wow, it's great! How can this game be so good, yet Mighty No 9 so meh...
Since wood cutting season is finally among us I wont have too much time for games the next few weeks but im sure I'll find time regardless Jus got Dynasty Warriors 8 in the mail earlier this week so will prolly pop that in tonight for a bit. Its actually the first one I have owned but always used to play the heck out of a demo back in the day. After DW8 tho I'll throw in one of the Killzones for some bot training since my aiming has gotten rusty. After that I think I'll put in some FFVIII. Awhile back I got to disc 3 and put it down for awhile but im really craving an rpg story right now so it might be a good time to start edging towards the end of it since ya know FFXV's release is on the horizon....again.
I have been playing through Animal Crossing New Leaf and Happy Home Designer. My wife and I decided to start new towns. I plan on making some progress in Uncharted 4 tomorrow.
Nhl 17
Doom
Just Cause 3
@Expao After getting 80% through Divinity, I gave up on it as well, for me the story was just to mediocre for me to want to keep going, combat was fun but not enough to keep me coming back for good. Trails is a really good game, I've on played the first chapter but it was very good
@Wazeddie22 Let us know what you name the puppy!
This weekend I've been playing mainly bioshock infinite on my ps4 and platinumed that. Also been squeezing in some DQ 7 and overwatch.
@JaxonH I think the reason Mighty was so meh is cause people expected too much. Funny thing is people think that Inafune was the main driving force behind Mega Man yet they forget it was a team. It's like taking a star quaterback that has been with the same team for several seasons and him going to another team and then fans go wtf he use to be so good..

@Tasuki
That could be part of it. Also I think that, kind of playing into that, certain creators, even genius creators, are at their best when there's an opposing force to balance their extremes.
Like Miamoto. I do not question his creative genius. Half my favorite games of all time were created by him, Pikmin being a very good example. But when left to his own devices without constraint, you end up with bad decisions. Star Fox Zero not including normal controls as alternative, removing story whenever he can, making Mario games more and more generic in the interest of "brand recognition". When given full rein he has a tendency to go overboard, yet when challenged his ideas flourish into masterpieces and modern classics.
Think the same thing with Inafune. MegaMan was great because he didn't have full reign. And you see as time progressed, with the Zero series and ZX especially, how the games became more and more Japanese as they gave him more and more control. Those games look much more similar to Azure Striker Gunvolt than the original series or X series. Not saying those games are bad, but you can see his influence growing as time progressed.
And as you said, it was a team effort. The right people together at the right time.
@Hego Named him Teddie after the character in Persona 4 (I'm not very original when it comes to names lol) A lot of hard work but managed to get some gaming in once he was asleep
PES2016
@Wazeddie22 My dogs named Teddie too, but not for the same reason also naming anything after a P4 character is good in my eyes!
