The weekend has arrived, which means that it's time for your weekly dose of WAYP. With the holiday season in full swing, much of our team are too busy beavering away on reviews to bring you witty asides, but we're sure that you'll make up for their absence in the comments section.

This one snuck up on me a bit because I hadn't been following it prior to release at all, but I've been absolutely hooked on Dragon Quest Builders since I tried the demo last week. I've never played Minecraft before, but this wonderful little JRPG/LEGO building hybrid is right up my alley.

This weekend I'm going back to 1996... Firing up Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour. I'm also planning on trying out One Way Heroics, playing some Shadow Blade Reload, and trying to net more Trophies in TMNT Mutants in Manhattan (still keep finding myself playing that game after all these months). Cowabunga!

As I'm in between playing some of the year's heavy hitters, I decided to purchase an indie game I'd been seeing a lot on social media: Clustertruck. It's not going to blow anyone's minds, but the twitchy first-person platformer has that addictive one-more-go factor keeping me hooked. I'll be attempting to conquer its slew of truck-hopping levels this weekend, alongside getting some practice in my PS4 mainstay, Rocket League.

I am heading out of town for the Portland Retro Game Expo, so besides playing tons of retro games and arcades, I will be bringing along my 3DS for Mario Kart 7 action.
That's us out of gas for this edition of WAYP, but what are you playing this weekend? You know the drill: outline your itinerary in the comments section below.

A bit of Battlefield 1 and lots of World of Final Fantasy, got lucky and arrived yesterday, loved it!
I'm playing Mirror's Edge Catalyst, and am quite enjoying it. It's like the first one (which I loved) on steroids and finding shortcuts in the city is quite rewarding. I just wish the races would show the finish on the map.
I've been dabbling with the Pokémon Sun and Moon demo in the week and am returning to do the extras, but think I will start Dragon Quest Builders for my handheld fix.
Still enjoying my PSVR here: Thumper, Viva Ex Vivo VR, EVE Valkyrie (less sickness now, when playing in the support class), TumbleVR (with my wifey) and Pixel Gear
Xbox One- Dead or Alive 5 LR, Killer Instinct, and Rise of the Tomb Raider
PS4- King of Fighters 14, And Injustice
3DS- Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice, Animal Crossing, Monster Hunter 4
Star Trek Online,Rise of the Tomb Raider and a bit of Dragon Ball XenoVerse (getting ready for DBXV2)
If I can get online now I'll be trying the Call Of Duty Beta, plus I'll be spending lots of time with Lara and Bildrick
I'm playing the waiting game. Come on Skyrim...
Mostly ps vr related stuff, watching alumette (great but little sad short vr movie), playing and finishing batman arkham vr & until dawn rush of blood. I plan to sold my ps vr though, I prefer playing on tv afterall.
Besides vr, my battlefield 1 just arrive but I plan to finish miku diva x first, only 2 stage left.
really enjoying PSVR, Rigs is freakin awesome finally won my first league along with Top Gun award, drive club with steering wheel, just need to get a proper wheel stand now, Rez and World War Toons,
Disney Magical World 2 on 3DS for the moment. Although I will probably start playing Valkyrie Drive on my PS Vita soon.
Family stuff this weekend but a little bit of the awesome Transformers Fall of Cyberton when I can.
Thumper, Eve: Valkyrie, and Bound in VR is what I'm working on. If I do anything non VR this weekend it'll be Battleborn's new DLC
It's going to be all Battlefield 1 for me between work this weekend. Finally played it last night, it's awesome, it's as great as I hoped it would be. There's something about using pre-modern weaponry that is so satisfying
Although the contract are not swapped my house move looks to be completed by the middle of next week. So I'm packing a lot up and really busy, if I get a chance I'll try some cod beta as I'm buying no new games till my pro arrives.
Well just got done playing a good solid 20 minutes of Shadow of Mordor aaand now Im bored so now Im slapping in The Witcher 3 which I will finally finish this weekend. Honestly should just go get the complete edition because this one has already broke itself once on a mission and no matter what save I load old or new about 1/8 of Novigrad wont load, its just Geralt walking on air running into invisible stuff.
Hitman, Hitman, Hitmaaan. Can't wait for the Japan episode.
I beat Uncharted 4 earlier in the week.
Last night I purchased Shovel Knight so I will be playing through it.
@Neolit haha, yes - the dogfights get pretty intense! My mind is still confused how I can (virtually) move in such a manner through space.
I've played EVE Gunjack on the GearVR as a gaze shooter (where you look, it shoots) and it worked perfectly well. It's nice and arcadey if you long for short playsessions, although it kept me quite busy on the Gear VR, so that I had 3 stars on every Level. Maybe I'll give it a try on PSVR aswell, just to see how it looks with less screendoor effect and better FOV.
And Thumper. Thumper is my personal GOTY. When you are in the zone just perfectly reacting in this breathtaking speed! Sometimes its as if you're in a train where the brakes gone haywire and now you must get through it and bring it to a stop. Its so intense that I can only play relatively short sessions because I'm so exausted. Great thing is, that its never unfair and you just can pick it up and play where you left. (Although I recommend to be ready for the action)
I will be playing my August darlings: Diva X and KOFXIV. Final Medley in Extreme is the most I have been stumped in a Miku song and last night I was just 500 points short.
The NX, er, Switch has excited me so I may check my Wii U since I have a backlog that I wont be able to play in the new system, PS4 style. Unless they flood it with remasters of course.
Finished Telltale's Batman episode 2 in anticipation of the third episode coming this Tuesday. Going to restart my play on Until Dawn and do the full campaign before Halloween. Been playing Until Dawn: Rush of Blood on VR too. That game is fun and just the right amount of creepy.
I'll be playing the fantastic Darksiders II and probably a bit of FIFA 17!
Nonstop Dragon Quest Builders. Just like last weekend.
Wii U
Call of Duty: Blacks Ops II - Been playing a little campaign, but mostly TDM for the most part.
Vita
Fat Princess: Piece of Cake - Enjoying this puzzle game way more then I thought I would.
Windows Phone
Fruit Ninja - Playing this in short bursts here and there.
@get2sammyb Sammy, shout out to you for your hard work. I'm sorry that you get a lot of poo on Twitter by some a**hat. Since you bring me a lot of Joy with this website since i can't game as much as i like and therefore this is a good substitue
You have been warned several times about the language, you won't be warned again -Tasuki-
WWE 2k17 and replaying The Walking dead season one on the PS4.
TWD is such a brilliant game, its just crazy the way the puzzle elements have been mostly stripped out for the latter games from telltale. They add downtime, add longevity to each episode and TWD has alot more gameplay than say Tales from the borderlands or game of thrones which seem to concentrate on simple if any game mechanics. I cant recollect anything as expansive as the train section from the TWD and that's has me confused as its good fun finding the solution.
If anyone hasn't played it - its less than £6 in the Halloween promo right now!
@Sanquine Thanks man. Sorry about my tweets.
battlefield 1 and project cars
Destiny has drawn me back in yet again, so I'll be busy doing ridiculously long exotic quests and getting my light level high enough to finish the new raid

X1
Batman Return to Arkham (Arkham Asylum)
Lost Odyssey
PS4
Dragon Quest Builders
Vita

PSVR: Batman Arkham VR, RIGS, Rez and Eve: Gunjack
PS4: Dark Cloud 2, DriveClub and Outlast
PS Vita: God Eater: Resurrection
I'll finish Ryse:Son of Rome this evening and I may go back to my 360 to clear some other games off my backlog.
Away for bit so leaving the wife with my beloved PSVR. So on Vita, I am trying Never-ending nightmares and getting stuck into Fez. I am feeling love for my vita after all the rumours of its forthcoming demise.
I just tried far cry 3 (i'm in a bit of an old school mode right now) and i am loving it 😄 so i will continue to play it and conquer all the outposts 😆 love stealth mode 😊
If it arrives today, Persona 5... Probably gonna be tomorrow, but fingers crossed it'll get here today.
Just completed The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel on my ps vita. 100% delight. Love this game. I will wait a month before i start cold steel 2.
Playing Beyond 2 souls on my ps4. Slow burn, i play a chapter a night.
Completed witch 3 blood and wine. Sad to finish up with witcher 3.
Kingdom Hearts 1.5. I've been meaning to get it for a while and I finally did. I bought DQB when it came out but to be honest I haven't really got into it as much as I'd hoped. I guess stacking up blocks lost its appeal after I was a toddler. I'd hoped it'd be a lot more narrative and more like a normal DQ, just with MC elements. Instead it's like a really simple MC with a DQ theme. I'm still planning on playing it, it just feels a bit disappointing.
Trackmania turbo
AC black flag
MXGP
PS4 - Rise of the Tomb Raider
Xbox One - Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4
Finally bothering with the Fallout 4 DLC, maybe finish off Dark Souls II.
@get2sammyb
No worries, we all have those moments. And to be fair that guy has be harrasing you for to long can't you block him? I remember him being a member on pushsquare. Vita lunatic:P
Battlefield 1 when I've got some free time.
PSVR i just donwloaded Batman VR yesterday and cant wait to try it.
I'm waiting to play battlefield 1 when i get an X1 for Christmas (my dumb friends don't have a ps4) so in the meantime I'll be playing the death star dlc for battlefront. I just bought it last night. It is very good so far! On the handheld side, I'll hopefully be putting in some time on the Sun/Moon demo ahead of next month's release! Maybe some world of final fantasy demo or Lego TFA on vita too!
Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair on the Vita.
Edit. Vow after reading through everybody's comments there really isn't much excitement going on in gaming atm. Like nothing at all. Guess this is the right time to burn through that backlog that built while I was lost in Dragons Dogma, fantasizing about a pawn ai that while still being pretty cool is not all that we though it could be at the time.
Tried the new cod beta. After the smoothness of black ops 3 not impressed at all.
Playroom vr with family, eve: Valkyrie
South Park - The Stick of Truth, and it's the uncensored version on the PS4. If I get bored then it's back to Battlefield 1
@SmashbrosFtw1306 I'm sensing lots of anger in your post. It's subtle but I'm pretty intuitive about this kind of thing. Is everything okay at home?
@kyleforrester87 i deleted it shouldn't be saying stuff like that on here sorry just alot of people getting under my skin thx though
@SmashbrosFtw1306 haha just pulling your leg bud. Hope alls good, though
@Sanquine I am pretty sure @get2sammyb has blocked him many times, but he probably finds away around it, and since Sammy has no control over anything but Push Square....
I was a little late to the thread this week. But I played nothing but Skylanders Imaginators this weekend with my trusty buddy Crash! Now I didn't get as much gaming in as I wanted due to some stupid back spasms keeping me in pain most of the weekend.
