Uh oh, better head down to the bunker and sit tight, because December's PlayStation Plus games have been confirmed. As a leak on the PlayStation Store earlier this week suggested, PlayStation 4 users are getting Invisible, Inc. and Stories: The Path of Destinies. Both are pretty good games by our reckoning, but they're not going to foster much enthusiasm, are they?
The rest of the lineup is perhaps equally underwhelming. Hyper Void and Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops will be available across all of Sony's platforms, while Color Guardians hits both PS4 and Vita. VVVVVV heads to Vita, too.
What do you make of this selection then? Is it going to be a happy holiday for Sony's premium service? Don't shoot the messenger in the comments section below.

wow why you are spoiling us this christmas
honestly they should drop the free games now because they ain't wort it any more
what they should do is make PlayStation Now part of the service instead
then with xbox one (with backward compatibility) you get these 4 games. I honestly prefer that both did a free movie rental etc or something per month along with 1 game.
*Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition ($29.99 ERP): Available from December 1-31 on Xbox One
*Outlast ($19.99 ERP): Available from December 16- January 15 on Xbox One
*Outland ($9.99 ERP): Available from December 1-15 on Xbox 360 & Xbox One
@Anguspuss To be fair, all of those Xbox games have been free on PS Plus in the past, so...
Pretty interested in playing these games. Won't get round to it for quite a while though. Too much to play.
How good is Final Fantasy 15 though?
Enjoy the pap plus subscribers .
the upside is you can multiplayer with like minded people.
@Bhattiboy I do break even with the Plus discounts from the store to be fair.

damn & I bought Sleeping dogs on ps4 as well,. It was just a comparison. Seeing we all have too many games to play. (kids, wife, football,tv, degree)
I would honestly prefer either a discount voucher to use on store or free movie rentals. Or a combo deal with netflix etc. Free DLC .
With the present economy & price gaming going up. New MK2 consoles coming out both sony/microsoft need to do more justify the cost.
The last top-down game I enjoyed was Marvel Ultimate Alliance II. Tried a few others since then, nothing's really grabbed me. Nor will this by the looks of it
Actually might be decent indies, and with all the amazing deals recently this doesn't really bother me. Color guardians may be good for kids??
@kyleforrester87 lol ffxv
Im still playing through my season on NBA 2K17.
Hit the playoffs as the number one seed with the Bucks, at the conference finals now.
Oh, new plus games? Nah Im good.
Yet another month where the only benefit of PS+ to me will be to play the games I bought online... Oh well - I won't hold my breathe waiting for something decent to be offered...
Apart from VVVVVV, which I always wanted to try, the only game I would be interested in I already have, which is Stories: The Path of Destiny. As for the rest, they are really scrapping the barrel for PS3 and PSVita aren't they?
@kyleforrester87 if there is a game I want and its a plus discount I make a new account and get plus for 2 days giving me enough time to pay and download the last 1 was Grand Ages: Medieval for 10 quid 30 pence.
The chances of a game I want that has been plus discounted are not very often so for me the only thing good about plus I get for free give that man a Beer.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya it is a good game bud.
@FullbringIchigo did Sony recently give P.C. owners the availability to play PlayStation Now is that a service P.C. users have to pay to use?
This is the first month I'll download both games on PS4. Neither looks amazing but certainly good enough to pique my interest.
@FullbringIchigo I agree. I don't sub to PS+ because i never care about the free games and 99% of the time I don't play games online. Putting PS Now and PS+ in a bundle together makes a lot of sense and would tempt me to subscribe.
Awesome, looking forward to giving Invisible Inc a go!
Nothing for me this month.
I was sure we'd get Drake's Fortune Remastered, now that Sony have broken up the collection. Would drive up interest for UC4s single player DLC.
I have invisible Inc and vvvvvv on PC. Invisible is fantastic,It alone makes this month worth it if you don't have it. vvvvvv is worth a playthrough .
I've been waiting for Stories to get bundle or something so I'm pretty happy to get that.
I wonder if hyper void will include the VR option. It's the only one for me though and even that game is purely because of the PSVR. I wouldn't download any otherwise. But I suppose one man's dislike is another man's like
Ugh. I'll give Invisible Inc. a chance, at least.
For anyone wondering, VVVVVV is a solid indie game. Perfect for portable play.
The games are fine. Along with discounts this year an other free games this year has been a good one for me.
@FullbringIchigo Except PS Now isn't available in every country and hasn't got the Internet connection to handle it. Besides you saying the game's aren't worth it is subjective.
Right this year I bought Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition, Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Dark Souls 2, Dragon Age Inquisition, The Witness, The Talos Principle, Oxenfree, Wasteland 2, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Battlefield 4 (with every expansion), Amplitude, Invisible Inc and Life is Strange. All those were under 15 quid at the time and I'm a guy on a limited income. Put simply if you want bigger games then go and buy them when their cheap instead of waiting in the faint hope that they come on Plus.
I actually like quite a few of them. I'll definitely play Stories and Colour Guardians (on psv).
I played Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops and had a blast. I don't remember paying for it at all.
VVVVVV looks embarrassingly bad, though. I don't care how good the gameplay is. I refuse to play anything that looks as if it were made by a single person 20 years ago.
@naruball It's designed to resemble a Commodore 64 game in appearance, down to the menus and many of the sounds used. When it first boots up, the loading screen even looks like a game booting up on the C64. You might not like the style, but it's definitely not bad. The gameplay itself is clever and designed around reversing the flow of gravity in your environment.
Excited to play but with my huge backlog I don't think I'll finish any of them soon
Yay 2 more games that i wanted to play but didnt get round to buying...ps+ STILL such good value for money
Tiny Troopers is a new release, eh? Well...I have no idea if it's any good, but I ALWAYS support Day-one Plus titles because at least we know we don't already own them (at least on PlayStation). Unlike Stories, which I bought on a sale a while back and haven't actually played. sigh
And VVVVVV on Vita? That's a fantastic game, so how can I complain about a chance to hit my head against its Trophies? Bring it on!
Great month, perhaps the best of the year. September might have been the only month better with Lords of the Fallen and Journey.
Pretty happy with the selection. Of course a AAA game would've been great but I'll happily give all these a spin
While basically everyone here is moaning about indie games, you should try out Invisible Inc, I played some of it on PC and it's a fantastic game.
While I have no real problem with indie games being on PS+, I think the IGC should only have 1 per month alongside a non-indie since people clearly (and understandably) want that. Maybe when the PS3 and Vita are inevitably dropped from the service I'd like to see 2 indies, 2 non indies and maybe a PS1/PS2/PSP classic or two each month... if/when Sony adds PS1 and PSP games to the PS4 that is.
@get2sammyb Any chance they're holding on to the good PS+ games until either TGA or PSX? There's wishful thinking of a Zelda demo for TGA and Sony doesn't like to be outdone. Didn't they have something for PSX or TGA last year they announced "Right now!" during one of those?
I don't know about any of these, only the VVVVV title looks familiar. Maybe I'll hold on to my 1 year PS+ card until January.
Has Stories been patched? Shogun gave it a 6, basically said it could be a good game if they patched it.
Unless you play multiplayer games there is no reason to pay for ps plus. it's not worth it, especially after the price increase.
really is that the best they can do what a pile of dingo poo
@kyleforrester87 Very 😃
@Eternallover21 I do give the free games a look, that's why I feel the ps plus service has become a waste to people who don't need the membership for multiplayer. Sony mainly offers free indie games each month that most people don't want to play. Only a minority of people will consider them gems and feel they are getting the most of their ps plus membership.
@get2sammyb It is true the Xbox games have been offered on ps+ in the past. And they have been highlights among the many months of throw away games. I have had plus for the last 4 years and finally let it lapse because the free games are mostly awful and now having both systems I play online on the Xbox.
@FullbringIchigo Agreed.
I'll bang em in the library, might play em one day.
@get2sammyb Not the burnout paradise unless it was in that period where europe and north america had differing offerings but otherwise yes.
PS Plus is starting to flatline...
@adf86 i don't want bigger games what i mean is that if they got rid of the free games and added something else like PSNow they might find more people using the service
i think the free games have run their course so adding a new faeture might be better
If you haven't played stories it is a wonderful time with brilliant humor and great characters in a chose your own adventure style. One of my favorite games this year and if I didn't buy it when it came out I would have been happy to have it now. I haven't tried any of the others before but Stories is a BLAST!
Remove the free games and lower the price by 10 bucks.
First free vr game in hyper void so that will be worth a download
This doesnt excite me much but I'm sure they will be fine. I don't want to complain about something I get for free but this year's lineup has been very underwhelming. Tropico, Lords of the Fallen and Everyone's gone to the rapture were solid though
Apart from Tiny Troopers (which is awesome!)I don't have any of these and they all look pretty decent...apart from vvvvvvvvvvvvvetc.
Let my Plus sub slide a few months ago as found I rarely bother with the games any more. Paying more than your broadband bill to play online seems silly to me and I refuse to do it, I see no justifiable reason for this charge and am baffled by people's willingness to accept it. If you're happy with the games then fair enough, but going on most months' comments people aren't and only pay because they want to play online, so this is just a underhanded console tax.
Vvvvvv is definitely a diamond in the rough here
On one hand, I was genuinely going to buy Invisible Inc pretty soon, and I hope the other one is a nice surprise (I've only heard good things about it), but Jesus tonight did Sony miss a massive PR trick here with it being Christmas month and plenty and plenty of new players/subscribers, massive Plus offerings of goodwill and "look how great we are to you" etc would have gone a long, long way. Sony dropping the ball on a personal level to gamers this year. Again. A pity, really.
What, no Killzone or Knack?! OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!
I am properly kicking off right now, where's Tekken 7!?
@Dichotomy If you pay €50 a year you must have terrible internet.
@JohnnyBastos Really mate those games where under €10 go buy them.
@Flaming_Kaiser You misunderstand me, perhaps I should have put it as paying extra on top of your broadband bill to play online seems silly to me. I've not seen one valid argument that justifies this cost and a game like Destiny should really highlight why the cost is nothing more than a gaming tax rather than something that adds anything of value to the online experience.
Not a thrilling month but I'm interested in trying both Invisible Inc. and Stories. Have to get through Watch Dogs 2 and Final Fantasy XV first, however.
@BowTiesAreCool
Agreed, and they didn't even need to put a massively hyped game on there, just one like Gravity Rush Remastered, which would've served two purposes. First you get a great game which is good enough. The second part is that while it's great, the remaster did underperform at retail, being part of PS Plus' free game lineup would give more people a chance to play it and could be used as a marketing tool for the sequel which comes out in January. Definitely a blown opportunity.
@Gamer83 don't get me wrong, I know I'll like at least one and maybe all four games here, and any other month it'd be just normal and fine, but it's such a massive opportunity in a month with so many new players, and Christmas! Just feels like a chance wasted.
The games aren't the main reason why I get plus it's the multiplayer and the games are a nice little extra even if the quality can vary at times.
Hey, Hyper void has some free VR dlc. Its like a free game for us PSVR users, right?
