Got a hankering for some good old fashioned farming on PlayStation 4, have you? Well today's your lucky day, as developer ConcernedApe (great name) has slapped official release dates on its anticipated indie, Stardew Valley.
Part farming simulator and part role-playing game, Stardew Valley has been on the receiving end of a lot of praise ever since it released on PC earlier this year. Boasting a charming spite-based art style and some deceptively deep gameplay, this is a title that's definitely going to appeal to those who miss golden oldies like Harvest Moon - and the best part is that it's out in just a couple of weeks.
Stardew Valley launches on the 13th December in North America and the 14th December in Europe. Will you be working the land next month? Get growing in the comments section below.

This is a great game you will easily spend 30 hours on and never notice where the time has gone. The only concern I have is how well the controls will translate from PC to console.
Looking forward to giving this a whirl!
Any company calling themselves ConcernedApe deserves immediate attention. Simulators like this aren't exactly my thing but I've not read a single bad word about Stardew Valley.
I've been waiting for this announcement all year, but now I just can't imagine playing this until 2017 since ffxv is out.
I have it on pc, don't know if I want to spend more money on it but it's a great relaxing game!
Maybe I'll buy it if it has a Plat!
It's a great game. I'll be getting it on Switch because I want it with me wherever I go.
@Eternallover21 It'd be perfect for the Vita, but I haven't heard anything on that front. And considering the developer cancelled the Wii U version, I don't see him investing resources in a Vita port.
I can't wait. I would wait to get it on the Switch but since I won't be getting the Switch till 2018 and I have been waiting a long time to play this game I will be getting it on PS4.
Excellent News! Been looking forward to playing this for so long.... Gotta say this tho... Is it Chucklefish publishing it? Wheres starbound!?
Could this be the game that gets the wife off Farmville and on to PS4? I hope so!
This should have been one of December's PS+ offerings. A well known and respected indie title that would offer cross play opportunities. Hoping there's a demo as I always like the look of these things but they never truly grab me.
