Really excited!! I really love jrpgs and FFXV looks brilliant!

I preordered it, and have been trying to avoiding news about it. From what I have seen and played with the platinum demo, I'm a little nervous about it though

Hmm, the status of my order for the Ultimate Collector's Edition worries me, still not sent...

i pre-ordered this years ago, i have waited a decade for this game and tomorrow it will finally arrive, i can't wait

I've got it preordered but I think I'm fortunate that I don't really have the same "10 year" expectation others have. I'm pretty sure it'll be a decent game with a beautiful world so looking forward to it

@finalstan Direct from SE, by any chance? My copy hasn't been sent either. From looking at their Twitter account it seems like the website isn't being updated even though the game is being dispatched. Hope that's the case anyway! Pre-ordered with them rather than GAME so my money went direct to them, so it's be pretty disappointing if it didn't arrive launch day. Fingers crossed.

Anywho, been reading a few reviews today and seems like it's really splitting opinions. Personally I'm looking forward to it, and haven't felt excited about a 'main' FF title since IX. The Brotherhood anime really sold me, seems like the relationships between the main characters has been really well fleshed-out, and the game world looks absolutely spectacular. Curious about the PSVR sections too!

Is this gonna be single player? I've heard it's gonna be online only. If it is online only I'm not really interested...but if not, I may try it at some point (and yes I know FFXIV is online only. I'm not getting them confused).

Gonna play it over crimbo, that and Dishonored 2 are for me perfect games for 10 days of smashing it.

Off work tomorrow, so I decided to get the digital premium edition on top of my preordered physical copy as I want to actually play the game & not wait for a download (I have a horrible internet connection, 2+ days for diablo 3).

I only started following FFXVs development after the rebranding, but I'm excited by the vision square have for it. Didn't play any of the demos & only saw a few trailers. Simply based off the movie, the anime & the KH battle system I'm sure this game will be great.

If someone gave me a PS4 and the cash to go buy the game, I totally would. I haven't been following the game as much as I would like, but it's been something I've had interest in since the early Versus XIII years. It does look stunning and good, and I'd love to play it.

I just started playing and I love it, the battle system which was my biggest worry is very smooth and enjoyable!

I will pick up my pre-order tomorrow but I want to watch Kings Glaive first in my deluxe edition. So probably want start playing till Saturday or Sunday with my work schedule.

I had to preorder in store today at GAME because they sent an email saying it may take 3 to 10 days online due to Black Friday or some such nonsense. I've been looking forward to this more than any other game on PS4 so far, especially after playing the 3rd demo and getting a glimpse of the Pro enhancements.

Kinda spoilerish: is it real that there are only like 4 outfits for each character?

I've been a FF addict since FF2(US) and have played each non-MMO release religiously when it comes out. But honestly, I was not impressed by the demo (at least by the gameplay). I've seen some people say combat has been greatly improved but personally I'm in wait and see mode.

Full hype mode engaged. I haven't been this excited for a game since the original Skyrim release in 2011. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be good.

It looks to play more like an action game than a RPG, so my interest is pretty miniscule.

Maybe I will get it at some point, certainly not at full price though.

I'm definitely looking forward to FFXV but not picking it up right away (Christmas is destroying my wallet). Mostly want to finish the story set up in Kingsglaive and the "wait time" mode is exactly what I was hoping they'd add to the combat.

Na, I really disliked the combat in the demo and it still looks the same to me now, the camera is a fiddly mess too. I'm actually quite surprised by the review scores it's getting, though.

Backlog's too big and I have no desire to play this game right now, so I can wait. Meanwhile Square Enix can sort that DLC and season pass BS out and I'll get it when it's all included on the disc.

Nope, I wasn't interested in this 10 years ago when it was called Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and I'm not interested in it now.

I heard that only the first half of the game is open world, which means after that first half, they may go right back to linear crap. I cancelled my pre-order after reading about that. It's not just that though, Square Enix has had just a horrible habbit of crapping on the Final Fantasy series after FFX. I may just hold off on this game until I hear more of the pros and cons of it. The open world to linear mess is really bugging me though.

Only game I care about ten years later is Shenmue 3. There is even a bigger chance of me getting TLG than this.

Not in a hurry to get it, but get it I shall. I have a few stuff on my plate right now, and Dragon Quest Builders is probably my next PS4 game, but FFXV was one of the reasons why I got the console in the first place.

I've never been into jrpgs, but I'm genuinely excited for people who have been waiting so many years to play it. I imagine that I'll have a similar feeling with The Last Guardian.

Yeah, seconded on that. I am more likely to wait for the GOTY / discount / bug fixes on this and other big games now, because so often jumping straight in to big titles is a bigger disappointment. I am not surprised first week sales are down across the board, I feel that it's a natural pushback at the "drink in the hype and pre-order for a beta build to please our shareholders!" mentality that's seemns so prevalent at the moment.

I need a JRPG fix so I wii actually buy the game today despite my distaste for the series since VII and the fact I hate much of the work SE's studios (aside from Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics) have done. Still, I did enjoy FF XII and Crisis Core was one of the games I bought a PSP for and I really enjoyed that game as well. Since the combat isn't turn based nonsense, I'm giving the game a chance. It's just a shame I'm positive it won't be as good as the FF games from the 8 and 16 bit days.

@themcnoisy I share your pain, I pre-ordered from Amazon way back in July 2013. On Saturday it said it had dispatched (a bit early as I'm in N.Ireland) and still no sign of it. This is the 4th game recently that didn't arrive on the day of release, the others being Uncharted 4, World of Final Fantasy and Here they Lie, all games I wanted to play on day 1.

@feral1975 its crazy bad practice for THE GAME COLLECTION (that's the company) hopefully they add MISSING as the second word. Phoned them earlier and I've been told to wait until tomorrow as it was sent first class or some bull ship, cheers and I'm never buying a game there ever again. Fuming bro. Well at least I can play RL tonight with the pushsquare clan and bought P4g digitally so I may shoot that up too. But yeah Im not amused.

Just got back from the store with a copy. Also received a download code for that A King's Tale tie-in which is actually a pretty fun beat-em-up.

@SegaBlueSky Yep, received my box yesterday, it's gorgeous, but have no need for Noctis' figure so will try and sell it relatively cheaply on Ebay. The rest I will keep, looks amazing. I've received so many Black Friday orders that didn't have time to play yet!

@FullbringIchigo @kyleforrester87 Yeah great game, that beginning though was the worst, just what the hell was the point? The big fire and then your dad sending you off. It was all done in 60 seconds then your slapped in the middle of the desert? Oh well the game proper is brilliant though and I've just driven the regalia. And yes you can drive it so no idea why its been reported you cant.

@feral1975 gutted for you mate, I was devastated yesterday as pathetic as that sounds. As a gamer and a lifelong FF fan these times come around too few so I was genuinely gutted. I would be on the phone demanding a refund and peg it to the shop man.

Once upon a time FF was my absolute favorite franchise, but it's been 10years since the last one I truly loved came out (FF12). I mean there haven't been many since then, but actually nothing Square Enix put out since then has captured my interest. I am getting FFXV no matter what, but i'm not especially excited for it. I was excited for FFXIII and well that was a bit of a disappointment.

@FullbringIchigo It was Amazon, recently they seen to keep underestimating the time required for deliveries to Northern Ireland, so I have given them an earful, hopefully they might do better next time.

@feral1975 did you use the live chat function to contact a person directly, i had a problem once where a delivery never arrived and i found using that get's it sorted pretty quick

@feral1975 that could take a while, i suggest you contact them via the websites chat help function it will go a lot quicker as they will try and sort it then and there

and if you do, once the chat is over make sure you have a e-mail of the transcript sent to you as proof of what was said
