Wow, this is a looker! If you've been disappointed with the visual fidelity of PlayStation VR games, then Robinson: The Journey may just change your perception – especially when played on the PlayStation 4 Pro. The thick foliage and cavernous cliff-faces make for an immersive experience – and that's before you factor in all of the wildlife.
Unfortunately, while we're not ready to write a review yet, the gameplay doesn't quite measure up. It's plodding and tedious, and the locomotion doesn't feel ideal either. There's some great presentation on display here, so we're hopeful that the remainder of the package matches its graphics, but we're not holding our breath.

I'm just never getting over "Rayman" hands.
Does look pretty though.
But that voice acting is hideous.
Fingers crossed! I already heard bad thigs about the locomotion and the lack of interactivity with the surroundings...
I might get it anyway, though. Just to gaze at the landscape and dinsosaurs.
Depends also a bit on the pricing, since in germany its listed for 69€ - which is a bit steep, imo.
Played this at the roadshow on the regular PS4. Graphics were jaggy as hell and the movement was like playing Myst using the right stick to flick between 90 degree fields of view then the left stick to move within that. Hopefully, Pro really does improve things.
When does this launch?
Next few days... Ohh and it's a proper full priced game for a short experience from people that have already played and completed it. No chance in hell it's worth £45
The main question is, how long does the game last?
@whizzkidd about 3-4 hours
Got this for $39.99 with 20% off GCU discount, so $31.99. Not sure about all this full price talk.
But it looks great. Was hoping for for fluid motion but hey, I understand why they do this because it does kind of make you disoriented when you turn in full first person like that without a suit or cockpit view or some kind of frame of reference.
@JaxonH I believe there is an option to turn off the incremental turning. I haven't checked myself, but saw another reviewer talking about it.
@solocapers I was expecting 10-15... 😩
Ya i turned off that weird pie chart movement
@get2sammyb Any idea why the US get this game for such a greatly reduced price compared to the UK and EU? I really, really want this game but that price, ouch.
