This. Is. Insane. If you've been disappointed with the quality of the Christmas sales on the PlayStation Store here in Europe, then this feature-length January doozy will see that you spend all of your bonus in one swift sweep. Spanning everything from indies to blockbusters, golden oldies to brand new releases – it's a pretty mental offering that Sony's lined up here.
Set to run until 20th January, some highlights include Battlefield 1 down to £27.99, Ratchet & Clank for just £12.99 (with PlayStation Plus), and Hitman for £23.99. There are also savings on all of Fallout 4's DLC to be made, with several Rocket League packs going low, too. Both the PlayStation 3 and Vita are also getting in on the fun, with Dragon Quest Builders down to £19.99 on the latter.
And if you've got a PlayStation VR headset, the platform holder's discounted several virtual reality releases as well. It's quite frankly a bonkers batch of offers, and if you're planning on tightening your belt before the New Year, we'd honestly recommend that you don't look. If you do happen to have a glance, though, what will you be buying and why? Let us know below.

Cool, R&C is a no brainer. Kinda interested with Hitman. I'll check the full list later
This is literally terrifying!
@kyleforrester87 Yeah, also Tomb Raider for 21.99 is a steal.
There are too many good deals. I'm melting here!
I finally decided to get the Darkest Dungeon. Played a bit on PS4 and Vita and I really like it.
Also got the Resident Evil collection, I know that they are not the best of the series, but never played 5 and 6. For 24 euros I think it is a good price.
@get2sammyb I always look forward to the January Sale! It's always the best sale of the year by far. This year's sale looks no different, this is insane...
Firewatch £7.99
Amplitude £6.39
Both very tempting...
I just snatched Riptide Renegade for £2.49, Mighty No 9 for £4.60, Assassins Creed Chronicles for 7.99 and hitman upgrade for £18.. Plus theres a few more i'll get in January, My poor digital wallet!
What's Bloodborne DLC like? Been playing Dark Souls 3 a lot again and was bit disappointed in the DLC.
Gonna go get WD2 and Ratchet and Clank I think. Some good deals. I just don't understand how playstation store say they are on offer when really being a download,, the sale price should be the original price!! sale😂😂😂
Just when I said I wouldn't buy more games than I finish...
Well we're still in 2016, so....
PS4:
-PES2017 (£20 with PS+ discount!!)
PSVR:
-Headmaster
PSVita:
-Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization
-Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma
-The Last Blade 2
-Grand Kingdom
Also for anyone interested Valkyria Chronicles Remastered is available for just over £9!
@B-I-G-DEVIL It's great with 4-5 bosses can't remember how many exactly. If you liked Bloodborne, then get the DLC too
@Melucine Souls only had 2 so it double the content already for half the price I paid.
Cheers - i'll be getting that tonight
@B-I-G-DEVIL Don't know about DS3, but I loved the Bloodborne DLC. 5 bosses and I'd count 3 of them in my top 5 boss fights from Bloodborne.
@B-I-G-DEVIL Bloodborne DLC is amazing.
@B-I-G-DEVIL Here's my review of the Bloodborne DLC. Might help you out: https://www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps4/bloodborne_the_old_hunters
Sadly this has come after a month holiday abroad so not only is my backlog bigger than ever, I also have no money. Oh well. I have literally dozens of games I'm meant to be currently playing and am picking up TLG after Christmas so it's all okay. But yeah, many of these prices seem to be better than the Steam sale price which is very unusual for PSN sales.
Um...when does the sale start? January 1st?
@Epona14 Nope, it's live now.
Um...is there gonna be a similar sale in North America?
@get2sammyb i forget you do dlc reviews. Thanks! I read Ludwig was boss and that was enough for me haha.
Not played it for while though so might start again now , plus I don't think i'll suvive Ng + 3
@B-I-G-DEVIL The Old Hunters is more bloodborne, and it is insanely good. The first boss is the best in the entire game.
Meh nothing much for me. Maybe Darkest Dungeon.
Going to spend so.much.money......
Already bought Dragon Quest Builders and Hatsune Miku x on Vita - and I am sure that I will be going back for more such as Zero Time Dilemma. Havent even had a proper look at PS4 deals yet, although I might finally get around to picking up Firewatch.
Great sale Sony. Well done!!
Wow I want like 50 euros or more of this...no, bad wallet, stay!
OMG! Why dont they throw one of these mega sales around in April / May? I cant buy as I dont know what Santas gonna bring me
@Epona14 It doesn't look like it and the Flash-Sale is a regurgitation of the awful Black Friday Flash-Sale...
World of FF, DQ Builders, Uncharted 4, Oceanhorn, Darkest Dungeon, Ronin, X-com.... going to need to wittle that down
Think I'm going to have to go for Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 on Vita - heard too many good things about them not to. I'll have to clear off some of that memory card, though...
I've picked up Uno and Darkest Dungeon. Also tempted by Gravity Rush and Batman remasters.
Very tempted by some of the bigger games I missed out on this year - Hitman, Deus Ex, Doom...
Hope I get some PSN credit from Santa!
I just spent all my nectar points on psn credit... Knew they were good for something!
Feel like I got good kicking from games companies this year for supporting games from day one. Next year is going to be a lot worse for games sales. Why support a game from day one when they are willing to offer discounts of half or a third off within months of the game getting released.
I'll wait til the end of January sale.
Bit of a PSA. If you top up £25 through PayPal they'll give you an extra £5. Makes all those deals even more appealing
