Remember those officially licensed PlayStation 4 controllers that Sony announced a little while back? Well, one of them - the Razer Raiju - is out now in Europe. Unlike the Nacon Revolution, the Raiju retains PlayStation's traditional analog stick positions, which, as far as we're concerned, is the right way to go about it.
Obvious personal preferences aside, the Raiju promises extra buttons, completely customisable control layouts, extra grip, and other 'pro gamer' improvements. The controller will set you back around £150 at the time of writing.

That controller looks horrid! 150 quid? Madness...
Yeah, but no.
It looks like if Halfords did controllers... Also I thought the Xbox Elite controller was expensive but that is moving the price to another level!
£150 fro a controller, no way in hell is it worth that, heck i think the £40-£50 they charge for the standard one is too much after all it's only a lump of plastic, circuits and wires
Yeah, I don't really like the way it looks either.
Hideous controller. I have my issues with the DS4, but its general shape is nice and comfortable. Why would you replace it with this boxy... thing?
Give me some toilet roll, scissors, black paint, a brush and tape and I could make better looking controller. Which idiot paid someone to design that
Pass.
Whilst it may keep the traditional PS layout, it does take a few design cues from MS. The Volume options are very reminiscent of the set-up required to use a standard headset on the original XB1 and the overall shape isn't that far removed either. I don't know whether or not it matches the build quality of the Xbox One Elite which is by far the best controller I have owned and the metal parts - particularly on the thumbstick shafts are still showing no signs of wear after over a year.
Can this be used wirelessly? It doesn't look like it. I know it maybe more competition but sometimes you just want to kick back and relax without cables all across the floor. At £150, its also very expensive for what it appears to offer. It looks like an all plastic design, not sure whether it has trigger stops or sensitivity controls - looks 'cheap and tacky' like any other 3rd Party controller used to (not that we see many of these nowadays) and I struggle to see why you may opt for this instead of a scuf which uses a standard PS4 controller and customises that - something I am sure costs less - especially if you supply your own DS4 and can be used wirelessly...
150£ for this piece of crap that looks and feels worse than the original? hahaha
I feel bad for the people suckered into buying this.
And that's coming from someone who recently bought this beast for nearly £300 and I don't regret it one bit!
Now that's an elite controller!
Like the way it looks myself, but it's far, far too expensive.
Officially Licensed ....Shocking
So so many things 150 pounds can get.
I want an elite dualshock 4 controller with double or triple the battery life, not this..
Looking forward to the nacon, much prefer the Xbox one controller to the DS.
Why don;t sony just do their own.
That looks horrific, I'd just rather buy 3 normal controllers and I seriously doubt I'd use it ahead of the standard controller anyway
whatttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
I did pick up on black friday xbox one elite & elite controller for £199
Its a nice controller but its a stupid price as well & not worth regular retail price
I am seriously hoping that PlayStation wii design their very own elite DS4. Named it DS4 Pro and IT will be DS4King Glorious. 2017 perhaps...
PS4 eSports? Bwahahahahaha!
Wubwubwubwubwub...
No thanks.
Crazy money, you could get a decent steering wheel for that.
It looks good and price is also expectable from Razer. But it's too much for me . My most expensive gaming controller was around 80£ from Logitech and 70£ from razer so far. Both were mice.
Bought it. Like it.
Damn. Why is it so difficult? All I want a DS4 with a decent battery!
I can't believe Sony "upgraded" the DS4 and didn't improve the battery. I mean who really gives a sh*t where the light bar is?!
I bought my son a razer pad for battlefield 3 on the xbox 360. It was light, felt really plasticky and cheap and broke after 4 months. Cheap crap sold to mugs at vastly inflated prices. Razer will never mug me off again. This even looks hideous. At least the nacon looks decent but anyone who pays over £50 for a joypad needs medication imo. Now arcade sticks? That's a different matter entirely.
. I had several peripherals from them a few years ago and was disappointed in all of them. Build quality, price, function. It's just an overhyped crap-brand. Sorry.

@Dan_ozzzy189 My experiences exactly.
It's made by Razr it looks like even the symbol is on the touchpad. i HATE razr products, I seriously have a psychotic hatred for anything Razr.
Will you be reviewing it in action?
@Dan_ozzzy189 what's up doc?
@Sakhasm Agreed, I use a Razor death adder on pc, but it only cost $30. This looks cheaply made and not worth $60.
Well look at you angry lot I'm getting it i've been waiting for a decent wired (I heard you can make it wired, the cable click's in) controler for my ps4 for a while this very well might be it, and at long last we will have paddle's. Can't wait personaly I'll have this bad boy in a few week's I reckon, I hate the DumpS4.
I bet it breaks down and when you pick it up you'll wonder why you spunked a hundred and fifty quid on something that feels like a tenners worth!
@Dan_ozzzy189 Haha hope not, I heard Razr's return policy is A+++ anyway (I know some people above disagree) but all they ask for is photo evidence you have destroyed the first item and they send a replacement out straight away. Maybe they don't do that for the crappy £30 stuff but the expensive stuff is well looked after.
