We absolutely can't wait for this one. Indie smash Stardew Valley will make roots on the PlayStation 4 from 13th December in North America and 14th December in Europe. The highly-regarded Harvest Moon clone has already proved a hit on PC, and will now see you ploughing crops (and, ahem, 12 potential suitors) on Sony's system this Christmas.
The game's up for pre-order now on the PlayStation Store, and there's a trailer embedded above if you want a better idea of how it plays. Will you be setting your scythe on this one? Cut us down in the comments section below.

1st: Get pun work!
2nd: Any word on a VIta port? This is a title that is screaming to be ported and I'm sure the Vita can run it easily enough
Ooooh innuendo.
Any word on price?
Loved the trailer
If I could cross my PC save to this one I would so buy it
@Pink_Floyd the price itself is on the PSN store. I think it's about £13?
Edit: it's £11.99. Bargain.
@Pink_Floyd 14.99 Euros
It's surprisingly cheap actually, isn't it?
@Hego I believe the only platforms that were announced were PS4, Xbox One and Wii U. However the Wii U has been canceled and moved to Switch. No 3DS or Vita I am afraid.
@get2sammyb Same pricing as on PC.
Most indie games don't cost too much more than that. The Witness was simply overpriced.
For anyone who is thinking about this, I'd advise you to take the plunge. Brilliant, heartwarming, and incredibly addictive little game. It's what Harvest Moon should be, but isn't.
I'll be grabbing mine whenever it releases on Switch.
@Tasuki Correct. Anyone who wants to play this in portable form will need to invest in a Switch.
I was hoping for a Vita version, but no such luck.
@Ralizah I think I've got used to these kind of games being really expensive. I remember when PSN games used to be £9.99, but they've slowly crept up over the past few years.
To be fair, though, they've got bigger and more ambitious. The Witness was definitely worth its price IMO.
@Ralizah I will probably get it on Switch if and when I get one. The idea of it being portable is nice especially since one of my favorite things to do at night when I am winding down is play a bit of Harvest Moon 2 on the 3DS VC. However I simply can't wait to play this game and the soonest I will be getting a Switch is next holiday season.
@Tasuki It's perfect for portable play, especially since the in-game days are over in 10 minutes or so.
I really like this game. You can slowly build your house and your farm in any way you want. You can get married and have children. There are also dungeons to try and you can socialise with a lot of people. There are some cool mods also that I don't think they will be present in this version.
Agree with an above poster this is crying out for a vita port. Great game hours of fun saying its a clone of Harvest Moon is doing the game a bit of a diservice. They are bringing 2 player to PC next year so I wonder if this version will get it as well. After a hard days work its good to do a bit of framing look after your chicken buy some cows raise a dinosaur. Find a wife to help out on the farm, I mean to love you.
@dryrain Wait there's dinosaurs in this game? It gets even better!
