Talking Point: What PlayStation Pressies Did You Get for Xmas?

i didn't get any PlayStation presents at all

what i did get was a new XBOX ONE s from my brother to replace my broken OG XB1

I always ask for cash so I can redistribute it on PSN subs, good causes and games I really want. So that's what I got and that's what I'm going to do!

I got Rise of the Tomb Raider from my GF, then I used money I got to pick up Uncharted 4, Ratchet and Clank, Ronin, Oceanhorn, Darkest Dungeon, World of FF and Trails in Cold Steel II in the Jan sale. Happy out

I treated myself to the last guardian, Dragon Quest Builders and Hatsune Miku X, plus some ps4 2.0 headphones. The for xmas I finally got gta 5 on ps4 some vita in ear headphones and watch dogs 2

star wars han solo nerf gun & Scalextric james bond set. I got some ps4 jumper but it got chucked in the corner

I got a PlayStation hat, gold wireless headset, afterglow headset haha, stardew valley, $40 psn card, dual controller charger...not too much but still nice.

FF15 and a new PS4 controller for me! Great haul!!

Wife got me fallout 4, rise of the tomb raider, and the bioshock collection along with a Blanka pop figure.

By end of the day between in laws and parents I should have no man's sky, tmnt mutants in Manhattan, street fighter v, tearaway unfolded, and gravity Rush along with $150 in cash.

My wife got me the last guardian for Christmas! Can't wait for tonight to give it some serious time.

None but I did buy the kids several games so I get to play them . Overwatch, Dragon Quest Builders, Ratchet and Clank, Destiny and CoD Infinite Warfare.

Nothing PS related. Got a zelda bag and Mario and Ydho figures. Warm jumpers...bout it. Very Nintendo xmas...which means not a lot

Positives! - PS4 Pro, Hotline Miami 2, PS1 Wallet, PS1 Mug, Mario Nes Xmas T-Shirt.

Negatives! Fallout 4, Second son, TitanFall 2 dlc..... I already owned the first 2 and the last one I dont have the feckin game. I'm putting a stop to the Xmas ship show which has become the games I get bought every xmas, I dont mean to sound ungrateful. But they know sweet fa about games, its not like I would buy my wife a meal and drinks voucher for swan lake and forget about the actual ticket for the show.

I'm only bitter as I asked for any one of TF2, The Witness, Doom, Hitman or Overwatch. I got fallout 4 and Infamous, wtf?

The bad news is,I did NOT receive The Last Guardian but the good news is I received a £20 psn voucher,Titan Fall 2,Watch Dogs 2 and The Witcher 3 GOTYE!plus marvel socks,pants,chocks,shortbread,Jimmy jams,Stephen King Book,calendar,marzipan,belts and a pillow...so did pretty well I'd say

Money, which I'll use to help fund Gravity Rush 2, Yakuza Zero and Resident Evil VII. Pretty sure they all launch within a week of eachother late next month.

@themcnoisy it's not being ungrateful, I've always felt people should either put in serious effort when getting a present or else give money/voucher if their unsure what to get or just don't have the time. Getting someone something they don't want/need or already have is a waste of money for them and disappointment for you. I put serious thought into everyone's presents, it's only once a year so everyone can surely do that :/ any ways cheer up and enjoy even prettier games on your Pro! And I'll look forward to some TF2 games when I get time off!!

My loving family gave me a 2TB Hard Drive (which I finally just restored all my data to, so back on track!!), Final Fantasy XV, The Last Guardian, and Titanfall 2. I held off on FFXV since they helped me get Persona 5 for my birthday back in October, and I just finished 2 of the endings on that so I'm 100% set to start another JRPG!! Really excited to play three of the year's finest.

I finally received my long awaited... playstation VR !! Finally, I'll be able to jack in the Matrix !! I'm ecstatic !!

I bought myself a PS VR. Wrapped it up, marked it to myself from Santa, and left it under the tree. I knew wife wouldn't question Santa in front of the kids, but I'll have to feign ignorance later when she starts asking questions...

@Tasuki On asking my wife they were pack in games with the pro and somehow that was £320 and the pro itself was the same price so on the face of it, it makes sense... But I know what's happened and as she has 2 games with the console she hasn't bothered getting the games I've been holding off for, which totally gets on my nerves. 1st world problems mate lol. Its made even worse as my Birthdays next week so I dont know what games I'm likely to get then (probably Driveclub or Uncharted collection and if that happens divorce papers are being written up) and cant buy any of the games I want in the sale either. Grrr.

@Wesker its a download code for something related to TF2 anyway but not the game. Oh well.

@Hego exactly. I'm made up my wife promoted chilling on the ps4, its boss! But in hindsight over the last 3/4 years I've been bought 6-7 games I haven't played or already have so yes your absolutely correct. I'm gonna put my foot down next year!

Nothing PS related, but I actually got a gaming PC! Built ground up by my brother! And a STEAM controller, new Bluetooth X1 controller and chatpad to serve as a mini keyboard for PC gaming in my recliner. And Civilization 6 on PC as well.

Idk I think the whole launch fiasco turned him off and then never really needed to buy one after getting a PS4. But ever since ReCore and Quantum Break and Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 he's been wanting one. And at $200 this holiday season, if I didn't buy one for him I know he would have.

He's into that GPD Win device? It runs Windows 10 but is a clamshell portable (Think a cross between a PC and a 3DS). It actually runs a lot of games from 7th gen and later. Ori & the Blind Forest, Dark Souls 2, Tales of Symphonia HD, Valkyria Chronicles, Resident Evil 5 and 6... It maps the mouse to the right analog for pretty much every game... Its really awesome. No clickable analogs though, and there are a few other negatives.

I said if they release a remodeled version with clickable analogs and SD slot, I'll get one in a heartbeat. Just having Valkyria Chronicles and Ori on the go is worth it. Although, Switch is gonna be here in just 90 days, and that thing is gonna be way more powerful than the Win. If it gets some good 3rd party support I'll probably just stick with that for my portable gaming needs.

I sold my launch PS4 to my uncle to give to my cousin for Christmas and used the money to buy a PS4 pro. I also received FFXV and a bunch of vouchers for various game stores that I am most definitely spending on The Last Guardian. I was in Japan for the launches of FFXV and TLG so am looking forward to sitting down to a few days of gaming

@JaxonH really!? I might give it another go. I love Mario games but the lack of control and the auto-jumping was incredibly jarring to me. I was expecting a more typical runner like Cobalt style.

After a rather frantic day I did well Playstation wise... My wife managed to track down two second hand Move controllers for my VR and paid less than CEX and everywhere else. I also got PSVR Worlds, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. I also got an Everybody's Gone to the Rapture t-shirt. So my wife did very well. Also got some cash as PSN voucher substitutes.

From an in-law perspective, managed to get duplicates on my presents for the 4th year in a row. Sigh.

@themcnoisy Sure it is first world problems but I feel your pain. I know it sounds ungrateful but I get very upset when you get stuff you just don't want, especially when you make it obvious what you want.

Well, after playing a normal Mario game like New Super Mario Bros U it is a tad odd going to the auto running. But it fits mobile well due to the lack of buttons. Not sure about auto jumping but Mario will automatically hurdle enemies. But the levels still manage to be challenging because of the design and need to bounce off enemies. The meat of the entertainment to me lies in collecting the 5 pink coins in each stage as you go (easy), which then unlock 5 purple coins (moderate difficulty) which then unlock 5 black coins (my addiction).

The first world is really easy, and each world after gets progressively harder. But there's also a mode called Toad Rally where you compete score-wise against others people (well, their ghost data so no matchmaking necessary) and this is where you have to collect as many coins as possible, defeat as many enemies as you can and do it in style (jumping while hurdling an enemy does a crazy acrobatic jump, and there's all kinds of other ways to do fancy moves and impress the Toad crowd).

It's got its own rhythm for sure... but I've always loved 2D Mario games and their flavor of platforming, and this game really impressed me with how close it felt to a real entry on consoles.

I got The Last Guardian and played a little so far with Trico being truly a remarkable piece of game design

Nacon Pro Controler but it suck's, i'm gunna send it back 2moz and get the Razr controler in a week or so, I wanna try em both before i decide which to keep I wanted this one first for the superior XB1 controler feel but a few minor other thing's let it down.

PSN voucher codes. Bought a couple and they've downloaded remotely to my PS4, so just got to wait till I get home on Wednesday to play them!

I'm going to wait to see what happens with the Switch as well, but that Windows device sounds pretty interesting. Of course there's also the Xbox Scorpio next year as well. Going to be pretty crazy.

I got a Darsiders Warmaster Edition from my sister while my wife gave me Skyrm, Far Cry Primal & Darksiders 2 remaster for Xmas. Going to spend some time with 2 of the 4 horsemen and who knows maybe the series will finally get a 3rd.

My folks got me Skyrim: Special Edition. I would have replied sooner but, y'know, Skyrim.
