Spoilers are a terrible thing when it comes to plot-heavy games like Danganronpa, so it's perhaps no surprise to hear that developer Spike Chunsoft is doing away with the PlayStation 4's share button past chapter 2 in upcoming sequel Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.
"In order to prevent spoilers for Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, we are asking for self-restraint in the release of gameplay videos and live streams from Chapter 2 onward," reads a message translated by Gematsu. It continues: "For the same reason, PlayStation 4's share feature cannot be used with save data that has entered Chapter 2 or later even once, even if it's between the Prologue and Chapter 1. We hope for your understanding and cooperation in order to allow more customers to enjoy this title." Fair enough?
Danganronpa V3 is due out this year on PS4 and Vita in the West, but what do you make of this? Are you happy for sharing to be disabled in titles like Danganronpa? Decide who dies next in the comments section below.

My body is ready!
well that will work for all of 2 minuets when someone just hooks their PS4 up to a capture device
really in this day and age what's the point in disabling a share function when there are SO many ways to get round it?
if you don't want spoilers then don't go looking for them, you will only find them if you actively seek them
Headlines are spoilers nowadays. "Dev says main main story is X amount of hours". I absoloutly cant stand that. I realize this probably dosnt bother that many folks but.....
So happy about this. It's the worst when a game you really care about gets spoiled, especially when the story is such a major part of the experience
Won't stop spoilers, but doesn't bother me a bit. I'll just avoid forums for awhile once this drops so that I won't see any big spoilers while I'm playing.it.
I have zero issue with this. I don't actively go looking for spoilers, but would be gutted if I came across one for this game. I just want a firm release date please. Miss me some monokuma
This is fine, Puhuhu...
Well it's not really to avoid spoilers, it's because when it comes to more VN-type games, seeing it all screencapped or streamed online is 95% the same as playing it yourself. I mean, players of this game can still say "Such and such is the killer, this guy dies!" on forums. It won't stop spoilers, it'll just stop streaming* and thus hopefully encourage more people to buy it to see it themselves.
