Now that we've had our say regarding our most anticipated PlayStation 4 games of 2017 - you can monitor our excitement by clicking through here - it's time to find out which titles you lot are looking forward to this year. In the attached poll, we've tried to include the most notable games set to launch on Sony's console over the next twelve months, but if your own personal pick is missing, please don't hesitate to select the 'other' option and tell us what's what. We've also tried to avoid titles that are difficult to pin down with a date, such as God of War and Detroit: Become Human. Games that we haven't actually seen anything of yet, like Destiny 2, didn't make the cut either.
With the rules out of the way, be sure to think long and hard about your choice, cast your vote, and then explain yourself in the comments section below.

NieR: Automata for me. It won't necessarily be the best game I'll play this year, but I've played the demo and enjoyed that and it's coming out soon so I can realistically get excited about it.
I'm pretty evenly split over 4 of those titles, but my Final Fantasy bias finally convinced me to stop hovering and select one.
Now I want to click on Nier, RDR2 and Mass Effect.
Come on Sonic! My god all of the choices are great. Maybe personally Nioh isn't for me but everything else I could buy day 1. Wow what a year for PS4!
So many good choices, but I can't wait for the Crash Trilogy.
Senran kagura splash...
Persona 5!
Persona 5. I loved Persona 4 Golden on Vita, arguably the best JRPG I've ever played. Persona 5 has style, can't wait.
Can not wait for persona 5 but too many good games out in 2017, also looking to what no no kuni 2 brings, first one was awesome
Yooka Laylee but on Switch please.
Mine is an 'other'. Kingdom come deliverance. Mainly because I love the medieval fantasy games. The best one on the list though to me is For Honour. Another ye oldie fantasy game. Also looking forward to playing Crash Bandicoot again.
I voted Sonic Mania, but WipEout and Ni No Kuni II are right behind.
Mass Effect is probably my most anticipated.
But Im looking forward to For Honor and Ghost Recon also.
Im hoping For Honor lives up to its dreams and aspirations because it sounds simply phenominal.
1. Sonic Mania
2. South Park The Fractured But Whole
3. Horizon Zero Dawn
4. Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy
5. Red Dead Redemption 2
I have to pick just one?!?
Nope, nuh uh, not doing it, it's too much.
This year is going to be insane, I went for Persona 5 for some JRPG goodness but having played the NieR Automata demo that is very high on that list too. Realistically though in the next 3 or 4 months I'll be getting these 2 day one plus South Park, Yooka Laylee, the amazing looking Horizon Zero Dawn and later on Ni No Kuni 2, this going to be a great year for gaming on PS4
Not as hyped this year as I was last. Too many games vying for my attention so I'm split. Voted for Horizon, but I'm very excited for Persona 5, Nioh, Resi7 and KH2.8. Mad that 3 of those will be on my shelf within 6 weeks.
Also no KH2.8? But Vampyr makes the cut?
KH 2.8 for me. Just around the corner!
Tough choice but I will go really boring and go with Red Dead Redemption 2. Why, I hear no one ask? Because even if it was almost a 100% copy of the original game, I would still want to play it. You just know if will be vast and amazing.
Hoping Mass Effect is the best in the series yet. Fingers crossed.
Kills me not to vote for ni no kuni, but persona 5 is the most excited I have ever been about a game.
Mass Effect for me. Mass Effect 2 is my all time favorite game, so hard not to pick the new one, but many challengers. How about the next poll being "How many games get pushed back to later dates" or 2018 even.
Why is Detroit: Become Human not on this list? Release date not 2017?
1.Mass Effect: Andromeda
2.Horizon: Zero Dawn
3.Red Dead Redemption 2 (I think it get's delayed)
4.Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom
5.South Park: The Fractured But Whole (The last one was a pleasant surprise)
Some great choices which makes picking one hard, but had to go with Horizon. It looks great.
1. Persona 5
2. Horizon zero dawn
3 Uncharted lost legacy
4. Ni no kuni 2 revenant kingdom
Nobody mentioning Nioh?
Red Dead, Horizon, Zelda in no particular order...
Horizon wins by a landslide for me.
But I am pretty hyped for Uncharted Lost Legacy.
@Futureshark i certainly want Nioh but the sheer quality on this list is amazing
The game I picked was Dragon Quest XI but NEARLY picked Persona 5,Crash Bandicoot,South Park,Horizon,Sonic Mania...and all the rest...
I was torn between RDR2 and Horizon. I went for RDR2 in the end. There are, however, several titles I'm really looking forward to this year. It's gona be another year of so many excellent games, so little time to play them. I'm gona do my best though. Proud to be a part of the Sony family and have such a diverse and large selection of games and quality hardware available. It's a great time to be a gamer
So many games on that list I wanna get.
Dragon Quest XI, followed closely by Final Fantasy XII, Yakuza 0, Yooka Laylee, and of course Persona 5. So many quality games to add to the backlog.
Went with Vampyr because it's something different. Everything else I'm looking forward to is a remake or a sequel, something using existing IP.
Vampyr could very well disappoint (the controls or even mechanics might stink) but at least it's something different.
I'm hoping I'll enjoy it as much as Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain!
Gravity rush 2, persona 5 & nier automata
Out of the ones listed here it's Ni No Kuni II but the game I want most is Vane!
I don't feel like Dragon Quest XI should be in the list. If I actually thought it had any chance of being released in the West this year I'd have picked it.
So instead it's Ni no Kuni 2 (Please don't get delayed...)
Wow Persona 5 is killing it
Mass Effect & Red Dead, but probably won't see Red Dead till '18 id say.
Knack 2, weirdly. Just because there isn't really anything on there that really bothers me.
Horizon for me. Hoping that Days Gone is a late 2017 title though.
1. Yakuza 0
2. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
3. Horizon: Zero Dawn
4. Gravity Rush 2
5. MLB The Show 17
I've gone for Horizon though currently my most anticipated game is Yakuza 0 as it's releasing soon and I've got a terribly short term view on things. Never played a Yakuza game and I can't wait to try it.
FFXII, actually. Just like Vita finally allowed me to play FFX dilogy, this release should finally allow me to catch up with this game and "bridge the gap" created as I played XIII right after IX when I had the opportunity. And only after that I'll move on to XV (online XI and XIV, despite nominally being flagships, are a lower priority to me, and XI is probably hard to play at the moment anyway).
It would be even cooler to get the game out on Switch so I don't have to stream it, but hey - one miracle at a time. XD
Persona 5. If I could only nab one game this year, it'd be that one. I am SO excited to finally be able to play it in a few months.
Everybody's Golf - I was gutted it was pushed back 2017!
@AlejandroMora hellz ya dude can't wait to see how it bounces out
I mean turns
I picked red dead 2 but Horizon Zero Dawn is my 2nd most wanted. But if Spider-Man was on the list it would be my most wanted.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is my number one. There is not a single game that comes even close to my level of excitement for it. The storytelling, characters, music, and gameplay of the PS3 game were amazing. Trailing behind would be Detroit: Become Human, Uncharted: Lost Legacy, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy.
There are a lot of colons in game titles this year.
I picked Nioh, but Persona5 and UC: Lost Legacy are titles I'm anticipating too.
Sonic Mania, Red Dead Redemption 2, Nier Automata and of course The Last Guardian 2: Trico's Revenge
@Tulio517 me too!!! Kingdom hearts!! 😄
I'm curious to know why persona 5 has such a massive lead. What is it about this game that has people so hyped? And this is a genuine question as I have no knowledge of the series. This isn't a jibe at the franchise. I'm just interested to know what it is about the game/series that has given it such a massive following?
Edit: ok, only a 2% lead now but persona 5 still has a lot of people claiming it their most anticipated.
@blakey78 I'm in the exact position as you , I know nothing other than its set in a school and that a lot of people fell in love with it on PsP or Vita.
Everybody raves about the series on this site I wonder if it is an American and Japanese thing as I don't know anybody who plays things like Dragonballz, Tales of (insert name) , Dynasty Warriors, Naruto Shippuden, One Piece Pirate Warriors etc etc . Is manga much bigger over in US than Europe perhaps therefore more accepted.
My most anticipated are Red Dead , Mass Effect Andromeda and Everybody's Golf (Yes very Manga!)
@blakey78 I feel like the only person in the world who didn't really enjoy P4G but I'll be giving 5 a fair whack
@MinerWilly @blakey78 Persona 4 had a fun plot that is really well told but the characters are what make it stand out for most people. Some really fun and interesting characters that are memorable. It's all very entertaining, far more than you'd expect considering all these characters are at school. The old school turn based RPG combat that most devs have abandoned is still popular as well.
@GlynCR @Gremio108 @gmxs Something's amiss 4 of us at least have Sonic Mania as our number 1 - yet its sat on 1% I call shenanigans @shogunRok
Dragon Quest XI.
Dragon Quest VIII on the PS2 is right up there as one of the most magical gaming experiences for me. It made me very happy to play. Just joy from beginning to end. Well I say that, but I didn't actually like it that much when I first played it. I gave it another shot and loved it. Same thing happened with FFVII, which is my favourite game of all time. DQIX just didn't deliver for me at all. It felt dull, repetitive, cheap and lazy, too much like an MMO... It just felt uninspired in general, it was basically a 3D remake of DQIII in many ways. Now I love that game, it's an undeniable classic, but it's a different matter when a rehash of an old NES game is crapped out as a follow up to such a magical and beautiful experience as DQVIII.
@themcnoisy I'd actually forgotten to vote! Mistake rectified, Sonic has now shot up to a whopping 2%
I'm amazed by how anticipated Horizon is. I wonder it'd be the same if it wasn't a PS4 exclusive. Then again, a lot of the naysayers seem to be really reaching for things to criticise. There's a lot of people on Youtube with 100+ votes that say the game looks bad because she slides down a rope with her bare hands. Yep, that's the kind of thing that's led to browser add-ons to block the Youtube comment section.
Hellblade!
resi7
tales of berseria
nier
mass effect
dirt rally vr
hellblade
Voted for Persona 5. Other highly anticipated games for me are Dragon Quest XI (DQVIII for me, is one of my most favorite RPGs of all time), Ni no Kuni II and Horizon: Zero Dawn. Btw, why isn't Toukiden 2 on the list?
That's an incredible list... I'm never gonna clear my backlog 😭😵
no yakuza kiwami?
Only looking forward to one game on that list RDR. I don't have high hope's for Horizon or FFVII anymore (after XV I won't be picking VII up on launch anymore either). And maybe Nioh missed that on first look.
Why no 'Days Gone' on the list? That's still for 2017 isn't it? I was hoping Q2.
@b1ackjack_ps I believe I've read somewhere that Detroit has been delayed. Don't quote me on that.
@b1ackjack_ps Please see here http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/detroit-become-human-release-date-trailer-gameplay-pre-order
@kyleforrester87 Same here. I thought Nier looked good before, but the demo confirms that it plays well.
Otherwise Gravity Rush 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn are my most anticipated games.
Just Crash Bandicoot for me.
I'm happy there's so much interest in Persona 5. I'd LOVE for the series to finally get the mainstream recognition it deserves.
Disappointed with this list. Tonnes of boring same old same old.
Marvel Vs Capcom should be good, will religiously buy NHL 17 in September like usual and the roll out of new DLC on street fighter v this year, otherwise on PS4 for the whole year, I'm good.
The Nintendo Switch is about to consume my living room and demote the PS4. it can't arrive fast enough
Tsk, no Ghost Recon Wildlands! Well that's the game I'm most looking forward to. Ace Combat 7 also sounds like it might be for me! I've played both Assault Horizon on PS3 and Assault Horizon Legacy on the 3DS and really liked them both.
RDR2, Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, Kingdom Of Hearts 1.5-2.5 Remix, Kingdom Of Hearts 2.8 Remix, Yooka-Laylee, Dragon Quest XI, Persona 5. I'm finding it hard just to pick one as all these games are going to be brilliant, and then there's Horizion Zero Dawn, Mass Effect etc 2017 is by far an amazing year.
I'm late but I voted GT Sport after first clicking Ace Combat 7. We need more true(ish) simulators like these franchises offer. I love Diddy Kong Racing as much as the next guy, but I don't want comparable controls in 2017
What the heck is Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 4?! MvC Infinite is my most wanted, but it's not on the list...?
Resi 7 but red dead a close 2nd
@DESS-M-8 Well you shouldn't be worried about the Switch not getting Kingdom Of Hearts 3 seeing as it's the same old same old, but you'll be happy Mario is out yet again later this year.
@banacheck wasn't fussed for kingdom hearts 1 or 2, why would I be on bated breath for kingdom hearts 3. But yeah you're right, that mario odyssey looks REALLY bad.... haha.
I voted for Tekken 7. I know the fighting genre isn't as popular as it once was but Tekken always delivers. Maybe for me it's more nostalgia since Tekken 2 was my first game on the original PlayStation. But I'm really looking forward to the new one to play with my dad, brother, and friends.
Yooka-Kaylee for me, retro platforming and bad puns what's not to like. Also its a new IP. Followed by RDR2
@banacheck very happy thank you.
Don't mistake me as a Nintendo fanboy. I've played Playstation since 1998 and PS4 is THE most boring generation they've offered yet. Bored of it, tired of it, want something fresh and actually interesting.
Nintendo Switch does that in spades. I'm a sucker for NHL and PS4 is the better format over Xbox. Beyond that, there's shenmue to finally look forward to. Everything else is a sequel of a sequel of a sequel with nothing fresh, Playstation has been this way for too long now.
