It's been flying under the radar since it was re-announced, but there's a small chance Prey could scratch that BioShock itch you've been desperately trying to ignore. Bethesda has announced that the first-person shooter β created by Dishonored developer Arkane β will face-off against an extraterrestrial threat starting 5th May. That's probably a good release date for the game, as it should be a quiet part of the year.
We must admit, the combat does look entertaining β particularly in this brand new gameplay trailer. The video introduces an assembly line of attack techniques, from sci-fi firearms all the way through to the protagonist's ability to transform into a turret. Previous trailers have shown how you'll be able to morph into everyday items like coffee cups, too. The jury's obviously out, but this could wind up being a sleeper hit. We'll find out in a few months.

Looks pretty cool!
So..... Bastion vs. aliens?
This is looking quite good. Haven't really been paying it much attention, but Arkane is a decent studio. It'll be interesting to see how this one turns out.
Bioshock in space. I'm game...
Having just played through Dishonored 2 (after finishing the first one and the DLCs) I'm very much looking forward to Prey. One of my most anticipated releases of 2017 for sure.
So more likely June? I have a feeling it will get delayed for the usual "we want to polish it more". Which I have zero problems with, especially after the very bad PC launch of Dishonored 2....
You can play as a cup. I'm sold already
It falls on my birthday!!!!! I know what I'm askin for now! π
Been looking forward to this one actually!
