It started life on the PlayStation 3 more than a decade ago, but much like The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV, the promising Nioh is finally ready for release. Team Ninja confirmed on the game's official Twitter account today that the PlayStation 4 title has gone gold, meaning that it's finished and ready for manufacture. "We want to thank our fans for their loyalty waiting for the game to be finished," the tweet said.
The game will release on 7th February in North America, 8th February in Europe, and 9th February in Japan. The Western version will actually be published by Sony, so expect the platform holder to push the project hard over the coming weeks leading up to launch. Can't wait for this game to come out I've been looking forward to it ever since playing the Alpha and Beta.
My body is ready
Hopefully they nerf the heck out of those bloody graves - in beta they were a dead easy way to farm purple gear. Also hopefully the campaign is long enough
@Mega-Gazz Tom Lee from TeamNINJA said the campaign is around 70 hours.
my most anticipated game.hype hype hype
The wallet burn is real. So many great games coming Nioh, Horizon, ME, Nier all day one buys. And now Zelda is added to the burn as well. More overtime required lol.
@WanderingBullet nice!
I used to really like "gone gold" articles, always an exciting time, but nowadays "gone gold" feels more like "alpha release". I feel like it's going to be years before FFXV "goes gold". TLG does actually seem to be gold though, at least I can't recall reading anything about a season pass or DLC or update patches to come later. The FFVII Remaster will probably never go gold, they'll be drip feeding parts of that game until the sun goes supernova.
