An exciting week comes to an end, with the Nintendo Switch now a known quantity. Of course, that's a topic of discussion for Nintendo Life and not necessarily Push Square. We've had a busy week as well, though, reviewing the likes of Gravity Rush 2 – and let me tell you, we're crunching really hard on a number of January's big titles right now.

For the second week in a row, I can't really tell you what I'm playing. Rest assured that I'm hanging with one of the most dysfunctional families in gaming, but that's all you need to know.

I may head back to school this coming week, but I've topped off my long Christmas break by getting through Final Fantasy XV. I think I'll explore a bit more of its open world this weekend, but I'd like to finish off a shorter game like Abzu or Undertale as well.

This weekend I will be returning to Arkham on the PS4 in the hope of completing Arkham Asylum. When I'm not dressed up in my Batsuit, I'll be on The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth filling up the greed machine which currently stands at 960 coins – just 40 more required. What a grind it's been.

My gaming time this weekend will mostly be spent in the black and gold world of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. I'm not enjoying it as much as Human Revolution at the moment, but I've still got a long way to go, so hopefully that changes.

I will be continuing with Shenmue this weekend, which I am enjoying a lot. Also on the list is LEGO Dimensions and a bit of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
A fairly short but sweet week on WAYP this time, then – but as always, this is your venue as much as ours. What are you playing this weekend? Charge up your controllers in the comments section and let us know.

I've just got the platinum for both FFXV and Ratchet and Clank so something easy going I think, so a bit of Bro Force, the excellent Fez, Rocket League and I may dip into Arkham Asylum too
Skulls of the Shogun and Mad Max for me...
Currently at work trying to decide which game to start next from the 12 days of Christmas sales. Either titanfall 2 or tomb raider. Both are appealing to me, not sure I shouldn't do titanfall first in case the muliplayer drys up or I just can't catch launch day players.
Mirror's Edge Catalyst. It's pretty good but I don't get why they rebooted Faith's story.
Probably end up playing some more Infinite Warfare MP as its double XP this weekend and I have managed to acquire some MK2 variants so should get extra XP as well if I use them. I have a few games in my backlog too if I fancy something different...
Wii U:
Call of Duty: Black Ops II - I've finally maxed out my MK 48 and prestiged again
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD - Tracking down the remaining Poes and Heart pieces I'm missing, then it is off to the Palace of Twilight.
Minecraft: Story Mode - Got the Complete Edition for Christmas, so finally giving it a go.
I am getting some free gaming time away from the kids this weekend so it will be Rise of the tomb raider on ps4. Will also Plat day of the tentacle then continue with P4G. Lastly, either more rush of blood or here they lie in VR! Phew!
PS4: Lego Harry Potter Remastered, Far Cry Primal
PSVita: Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero, Persona 3
So I just started Far Cry Primal on Survivor & I'm having a blast with it. Ubi get a lot of hate, but they make some great games.
On vita I'm hoping to finish off Shantae & finally get to Persona 3 as I work my way though the series in anticipation of Persona 5.
Some Skyrim this weekend. I have just cured myself of the pesky vampirism. Should remember to drink some cure disease after any encounters with those blighters.
@gingerfrog If your up for a bit of TF2, we are getting a group together in the forums. Hopefully playing after 9:30pm on Tuesday UK time.
I finished Day of the tentacle last night, probably the worst plat I've ever achieved. I started with a guide, put it down then had to follow a guide about an hour after that because I was stuck, I feel like a massive cheat plus I rushed the end
Tonight I will have an hour on Ratchet and Clank and that's it gaming wise. Great looking game, worth the paltry £13 in the sale easily.
Lovin this Bubsy 3D!!! ....Just kidding, I'm nearing the end of Final Fantasy 15.
NG+ on Hyper Light Drifter, in the 3rd area now - that bird boss was a real pain on this difficulty. Probably Mirrors Edge and maybe Resi 5 too.
Just hit level 50/chapter 8 on ff15, so will be continuing with that 😊 then have to travel tomorrow so will do some more world of final fantasy on my vita
Diablo 3, chasing the plat.. just need 200 more bounties . Then back to FFXV.
Just got to level 27 on Pokemon Go earlier today. Gonna get back into Uncharted 2 since I've kinda stalled a bit.
Playing shantae half genie hero on ps4, is this title cross-save with psvita? I can't find the info...
Trying to finish up Dragon Quest Heroes finally. I have my new Vita coming in the mail. Of course I had to track down an original version with OLED screen. Still sealed - let's hope it doesn't come DOA or something crazy.
Bayonetta 2. Difficult game, but very rewarding once your muscle memory finally adapts to the game's frenetic action.
Haa ...I see what you did there. Well, I'm (still) playing FFXV finishing up hunts, and thinking of starting a NG+ ...maybe. Also playing some Mario Kart 8 online, already prepping for the Deluxe version in April.
Quoting Dug, today is my birthday so I will finally play Future Tone. Sega, why is the base game 12gb if I still need to download all the songs but the meaty 2 you gave for free? Why can't we preload or have the demo before the game's release?
Anyway, have a great weekend everyone.
The Witcher 3! Currently playing Blood & Wine.
Playing LittleBigPlanet PSVita and it's sooooo good.
@Ralizah Hoping for a remaster on the Switch. that will be enough to justify buying one, for me at least.
played Bayonetta 1 on X360, it was and still is a masterpiece.
Just started playing song of the deep this weekend. I have to say it's way better than I expected. Really enjoying it so far.
I was determined to break off from Final Fantasy XV for a bit so I could get back to Dragon Quest Builders. On the final chapter and still enjoying it immensely. Also I'm hoping the so called big update for FFXV will arrive by the time I go back to it.
Also been playing some Headmaster on VR today which is alot of fun but I absolutely suck at it...even my 73 year old dad is far better..
Fighting games on PS4. Street Fighter V, Last Blade 2, King of Fighters 14, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. I might throw in Last of Us.
Pokémon Moon and Animal Crosding on 3DS. GTA5 on Xbox One
@wiiware Pretty sure it isn't. It's not in my PS4 library, but other cross-buy titles are.
@THEONE19 I'm not as hot and bothered about Platinum games as a lot of people are, but Bayonetta 1 and 2 are undoubtedly very... dynamic games. The moment-to-moment flow of combat is amazing once you get a hang of the timing on the dodges and learn some of the combos. I guess if I have one complaint about Bayo 2, it's that the whole feels climactic. There is very little ebb and flow. Every chapter is bigger and more ridiculously action-packed than the last. While this leads to a game that is almost never slow or boring, it also leads to me playing it slower because, in all honesty, it's tiring once you finish some big epic boss battle at the end of a chapter.
Also, the story is borderline incomprehensible, just like the first. It's really a part of Bayo's flavor, though.
I should also add that someone decided to drop by my work and loan me their copy of Uncharted 4. So I guess I'll be playing that as well.
Fifa 17, Overwatch and not much more...
I am having a bit of a PS+ freebie weekend. Just finished the annoyingly good Color Guardians and now I am hunting the plat in Deadly Towers, god bless Dick Starspeed.
For me I just finished the true ending on DBX2 and grinding through the rest of the characters and pqs, little plant slaughter on PvZGW2 towards my 5k plant kills and continuing through Darksiders Warmastered Edition.
Unravel (cant believe it was $5 on sale! Its amazing. Feel bad for th developers) Skyrim. Layers of fear. Bf1.
FFXV (about 34 hours in and only on Chapter 3 still) and Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies. Resident Evil 5 at some point, probably.
Watch Dogs 2
Finally playing the Tomb Raider reboot. I bought Rise of the Tomb Raider during a holiday sale so I want to play them in order. It shares some story elements with the first Uncharted, but I find myself enjoying it nonetheless. I like the dynamic of vulnerability and strength in Lara's character. The gameplay mechanics are really solid and the action is addictive. I'm looking forward to playing the sequel when this one wraps up.
@Bluetrain7 I like the TR games but I find Lara's characterisation to be pretty cringeworthy. I'm hoping she develops better in the next game. Too much whining and sobbing between sections where she's mowing down groups of armoured elite soldiers.
@Fight_Teza_Fight I mean cross-save, for example, you play 1 hour on ps4 and continue on psvita with the same save, like in world of final fantasy.
Was going to try and take advantage of the double xp on cod, except Activision servers were down on basically all cod games. Played a bit of overwatch and D3, finally got to a point where I can run Torment 13 nephalem rifts solo.
I began MGSV last week , hopefully get a few hours in on that on Sunday , loving it so far . Think I'm about 4% in so this is going to last me some time.
My missus has begun the original Dishonoured and is thoroughly enjoying that.
@LobsterJohnson Yay! Plat achieved, can anyone suggest any other good PS+ games that have been available recently?
@wiiware Oh yh my bad.
moving into new house this weekend so been playing real life tetris with packing boxes
FINAL FANTASY XV, Star Trek Online and maybe a bit of Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 or Hyrule Warriors
I had been playing Watch Dogs 2 but despite really liking the first one I've found the 2nd one to be such a disappointment to the point where after having the game for less then one week I want to trade it in for Gravity Rush 2. The last time I did that was for Sleeping Dogs and even then that was because I found it was coming Plus after I just bought it.
For me Ubisoft have made some strange design decisions, having to hold down L1 to profile people instead of the game doing it automatically like the last one did quickly became a chore. Combat has gotten way worse, especially if you want a no kill run, the story has took on a hackers meets Scooby Doo vibe which doesn't fit with the more serious tone of the last game which dealt with revenge, privacy, family and sex slavery which better fitted the game's world. Chicago felt more like an interesting place to explore then San Fran does, which just feels like Los Santos lite. And I think that's the biggest problem I have with it, it's trying to be GTA where's the first Watch Dogs had an identity of it's own. A lot people have said it's a big improvement over the first one but I don't see it. Where's the hacking in the first one was nice and simple, Ubisoft have now made it more cumbersome for the sake of giving you more random stuff to mess around with which don't seem to have any proper gameplay purpose other then messing around, hacking into buildings for example is too reliant on using your RC and Drone which in turn makes you more likely to be spotted because your having to move these vehicles in tiny spaces. At least the last one you just needed to hack the cameras to find the thing you needed and you didn't need to be anywhere near the location which felt more rewarding and less frustrating. Such a bitter disappointment.
