Horizon: Zero Dawn's coming soon – well, unless Sony decides to move the date, as we suggested it should earlier – and we figured that we'd school you on some of the lesser-known details regarding the release. What's the link between protagonist Aloy and H.G. Wells, for example? Which other games have used the Decima Engine? And what are the Tallnecks all about? Don't know? You better watch on, hadn't you?

I noticed the faces are lacking definition and texture, and the hair really shows how its not individual strands - it [the hair] looks rather sub-par in a lot of respects. For a game which has received so much press about graphical quality, I'm a little surprised.
I have it pre-ordered anyhow, so here's hoping for the best.
@Mega-Gazz While I can't disagree, I think we have to be realistic. This is an open world RPG and not Uncharted, there will be compromises.
The scale and density of the world is what's really impressive.
This game is so cool looking. I'd be all over this if Zelda and the Nintendo Switch weren't launching less than a week later.
Oh well. I shall nab this later in the year!
Wow I haven't really seem footage of this game. It looks terrific. I don't know if I can get in another game with a big scope like ff15 and a more action one that I am not very good at. Although it seems cool to play as a female Green Arrow wannabe. I may get the game sometime.
I can't call her Ay-loy. Its Ah-loy all the way for me
Not sure on this 1.
I will wait for you Gent's to review it before I purchase ,
The gripe about the hair does not bother me, but in fairness we are now on the 8th generation Games Console and we still have to make do with compromises.
@kyleforrester87 ah-loy all the way!
@Bhattiboy the point is that this game's graphics are being talked about and touted everywhere as amazing, but without even trying it was easy to pick out multiple shortcomings which other games do better.
And since we're in the year of fake-news and media bubbles, it would not be inconceivable that the great graphics are a talking point arranged for by the publisher, either covertly or expressly.
Hair?.. Individual strands?...they all have dread locks of course the hair doesnt move as individual strands!!
I'm not watching. I all ready know more then I wanted to. I can't wait. This should be the perfect game to keep me busy intill Mass Effect.
I can't believe I'm going to be playing a new ME in two months!
And to be clear I'm not accusing the site of anything, but every.single.person who knows about this game has had their opinion "primed". From the moment it was introduced at the e3 presser the marketing dept has been trying to give us our opinion. Then self-reinforcing internet search bubbles do the rest.
The game isn't ugly, also, don't get me wrong. I'm not hating, I'm just critical thinking.
I'm not sure about some of the criticisms of its looks, this is easily one of the best looking games on the console and I have never played a game which is even close to graphically perfect in all aspects, even the mighty Uncharted 4 has blemishes. This game looks stunning in the HDR videos I've seen but it's the combat I'm looking forward to the most as it looks several levels above every open world game I've played and better than most action games. I just hope the story matches this level of care as this is my only slight concern at the moment
@Mega-Gazz You can say that about any game though, I don't know why this is a topic of discussion.
People who would look at this game and criticize the visuals really baffle me. Do they even enjoy playing games?
Then again, I suppose with its obsessive focus on 4K, HDR, etc. etc. Sony is encouraging this sort of approach.
Graphical masterpiece, or not, I'm still hyped for this. Letting my expectations on a low and let the game throw all it got at me.
Finally something new and fresh which isn't a sequel or remaster.
I know I'll be enjoying this if GG makes sure things don't get repetitive as the story progresses. Meaning with to much similar side quests or having to perform a lot of similar unnecessary actions.
Looks kind of interesting, so will get it when I need something to play in 2018 or 19, still got too many titles to play before this one. And nothing I have seen from this one so far really make me go 'ah this is something I must play!'.
Trivia: Horizon Zero Dawn is a video game.
So I am getting Breath of the Wild, but I'm also picking this up as soon as I can. I really hope it's as good as it looks. It's interesting, these are both huge open world games from companies that haven't really made anything like that before.
I do like Zelda but it's not a difficult choice between this for £40 or a delayed Wii U game for £340.
