Yooka-Laylee's shaping up to be something special, isn't it? The upcoming PlayStation 4 platformer isn't exactly breaking new ground, but it's been so long since we've played a Banjo-Kazooie-esque sandbox romp that we can't wait to take Playtonic's love letter for a spin. And it just keeps getting bigger and better, too.
Team 17 has announced today that the release will feature a handful of minigames which you'll be able to play in Rextro's Arcade. These range from races to rails shooters, all of which you'll be able to enjoy solo or in multiplayer. If you perform particularly well across the eight arcade games, there may be some Pagies up for grabs, too.
And that's not all: a second player will be able to pick up the pad and engross themselves in the rest of the adventure by taking control of the Bee Team. As an active participant in the action, the Bee Team will be able to collect quills and store up butterflies for when Yooka and Laylee need a health boost. You'll be able to test all of these features out from 11th April.

Now I realize what Mario's hat reminded me of!
Looking forward to this, Rare's games past me by due to them never making PlayStation games.
Finally I get to avenge one of my favorite game creators and make everything Microsoft feel my fury... vengeance is mine BILL!
So thats where the money for the Wii U version went...
@BLP_Software No, all the money from the Wii U version went into the guy's at Playtonic's pockets, this was made by Team 17, who probably aren't getting paid much to do all the work while Playtonic sits back and does nothing but collect all the accolades for coming up w/ the idea for the game that Team 17 is making. Remember a few weeks back when NL "confirmed" this was a Swtich game? Not holding my breath. That would mean Playtonic would actually have to do some work themselves since Team 17 is busy making the PS4 and X1 games.
@rjejr Yeah that's true. Honestly it hasn't rocked up in the Switch announcement extravaganza yet and still got no news on changing rewards either. Starting to think its just...done. Sell it most to the crowd on a console that fits the game most due to the idea fitting that manufacturer and run with the cash.
@BLP_Software "Starting to think its just...done."
Speaking of "Done", have you seen my twitter post? Or any info about Darksiders Warmastred on Wii U? Done done done. It's all just done.
Awesome stuff. This game is going to be a lot of fun
