Well, that's a headline we didn't really expect to write. GreedFall is a new fantasy role-playing game from Bound by Flame developer Spiders Studio, and it's been inspired by β well β Baroque art from 17th Century Europe. Maybe Ramsey should have written this article β put that art degree to use and all.
From this author's limited understanding, Baroque art is meant to have a kind of melodramatic look to it, and we suppose the warm colours in this game's first trailer kind of capture the grandiose feel that the game's going for. We're not overly keen on any of the character models, though, which is a bit of a bummer.
Nevertheless, this all looks very The Witcher-esque, doesn't it? That's exactly what the studio's pitching as well: "The island of GreedFall is a living, ever-evolving world. Your actions, from seemingly trivial choices to the most important political decisions, will influence and affect its course as well as the relationship between the different factions established on the island."
We wish the team the very best going up against one of the greatest games ever made.

@get2sammyb Don't be silly, there is no situation where an art degree can be put to good use.
@DiddyWahDiddy Correct.
Looks interesting but then again, it is developed by Spiders, who is famous for great ideas being poorly executed.
Has me interested
Bound by flame was terrible, another indie game trying to be AAA . I hold my breath
