Despite some questions regarding the convention's relevance, Sony's booked a ridiculous amount of E3 2017 floor space. Preliminary plans have been posted online, and while they're subject to change, as of right now the Japanese giant has secured much more of the Los Angeles Convention Centre than its competitors. Indeed, the company's got three blocks, totalling 37.5k square feet.
Compare that to Nintendo who's got a respectable 32k square feet and Microsoft with just 15k square feet and it looks like the PlayStation maker will be bringing its A-Game. Of course, there's a possibility that Xbox in particular may be looking to hold its own kind of fanfest event away from the LA Convention Centre, while Sony arguably needs the extra space for PlayStation VR demos.
Nevertheless, it's exciting stuff. Together, Sony and Nintendo account for an enormous portion of the West Hall, so if you're one of the people who managed to purchase tickets for the event, then you're hopefully in for a real treat. Are there any games in particular you're hoping will hit the E3 2017 show floor? Go hands on in the comments section below.

Dark Cloud 3 as always. Never give up hope.
This train can't be stopped
I only hope for spiderman, god of war and uncharted 4 the lost legacy release date, I already have too many backlog, doesn't need new game yet.
@vagineer1 I would tell you to give up hope, but I used to say the same thing about Shenmue 3, so...keep holding on, buddy
@sajoey I've been waiting for over 13 years. If I gave up hope now and the game was announced a few months later I'd just be pissed.
There is some potential for upset with Microsoft dropping some Scorpio news, I reckon Sony are going to build on the past 2 years and go all out to impress with their massive software line up. Looking forward to it!
God of war kratos come out and play yyyyyyyy.my favorite PlayStation franchise of times.e3
New sly cooper word up son
@vagineer1 I reckon there is a decent shout that this will happen once ni no kuni 2 has been released. Fingers crossed
Microsoft only has their overhyped, possibly overpriced half step to show off that you'd be better off building a PC for if you want to play Microsoft exclusives in true 4K, possibly higher than 60 FPS. Sony and Nintendo are definitely going to tear it up at E3 though, I have a feeling. Can't wait!
The fan project Timesplitters Rewind would be the best announcement I could hope for, it looking like it just a pc job though .
Keeping the games coming.
I'm hoping to see a bit more Red Dead Redemption 2.
Hopefully there's some good stuff in the making. With all that room there better be something worthwhile!
@ApostateMage - I hope I'm wrong but I find it hard to believe RDR2 is really coming out this year. I would love to see more either way.
Hoping for a Hot Shots Golf release date!!!! Also, hoping to see when Loco Roco will hit the store!!!! Other than that, waiting to see what else is in store...both Sony and Nintendo!!! Seems like they will be the two biggest companies during the event, but I know nintendo also ends up holding their own events (seemed like nintendo didn't really care last year). Can't wait to see what the two power-house companies have planned!!!!
It will be interesting to see if they can top last year's E3.
All in all, it should be a good E3 this year as all 3 companies need to bring their A-game. Nintendo needs to prove that the Switch will have a steady flow of new releases, Microsoft needs to re-establish confidence in Xbox, and Sony can't show complacency just because it's in the lead.
Shenmue 3
Shenmue HD collection
And Bloodrayne 3
...What ? It could happen !
I'm assuming at least half of that space will be medical tents and beds for when God of war, RDR2, Shenmue 3, Last of Us 2, FF7 Remake, and RE2 remake all get release dates and dozens pass out
Great start Sony; some top tips for all the Sony execs who read the best site on the internet.
1) Go big on Racing this year with GT sport about 10 minutes in with a release date. Then show hotshots and another sporty type game.
2) Destiny 2 mid show with some kind of reward system for power players.
3) Follow D2 up with some last of us 2 action.
4) Next comes News of Red Dead 2
5) and when the crowd needs to grab their breath throw in Wipeout, Shenmue 3 and a price cut on vita memory cards within 90 seconds of each other. Crowd goes mental.
6) Get fifa and pele out to bring the crowd back down to stop heart attacks.
7) Show Super Street Fighter 5.
8) Spiderman, Crash, God of war, persona 5 arena and Jools Holland rhythm action game.
9) Give Knack away free on psplus
10) Close on Tekken 7
11) but in a surprise ending Sammy gets on the stage to announce Journey 2.
Soul calibur with proper long story mode. Destiny 2 and cyberpunk for me! Although would be great to see some spectrum classics rebooted for this and next gen! A humorous Fred tomb raider-esque, skool daze reboot, pang, bomberman on ps4!
Fingers crossed for wipeout and parrappa release dates
I'm really looking forward to this year's show. Nintendo will have new hardware on the market, MS is officially revealing new hardware and since Sony just put two new revisions of the PS4 and a VR headset last year, it has to focus on games, games and more games to try and stay ahead. Should be very interesting.
@DLB3 Yeah, and Days Gone
A release date on Gran Turismo Sport and announcement for few dormant franchises would be great.
@JesWood13 the Scorpio has nothing on the base PS4 let alone the PS4 Pro if Microsoft doesn't release well made first party titles (other than Forza) and exclusives. I think more people care about the selection of games over hardware that gives them better resolution and frame rates.
@vagineer1 That would be awsome.
@themcnoisy Why give Knack that game has been €7 so many times.
Should be a packed E3! Hoping to see more of Shenmue 3, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Death Stranding, Last of Us 2 and Spider-Man in particular. And if Bloodborne 2 gets announced then that's instantly 'best of show' for me!
For the first time in years I'm excited about Nintendo's showing, too. Picking one up as my 'second console' on Friday and very excited to see what they come out with.
Xbox I'm less bothered about - curious to see what Scorpio offers but I just can't see them having enough interesting exclusives to convince me I need one. Sheer technical performance has never been my reason for buying a console so they need to have a very strong lineup that can outshine some really stellar PS exclusives.
They're providing skips for old Vita's.
That should just about do for Ape Escape 4.
Bloodborne 2 and some kind of destiny 2 deal like with the first game, and I'll be a happy man.
I hope to see Elite Dangerous with FULL VR support! If they could add in Voice attack Mod I would break out the moonshine and make a toast to Sony!
More space... for new hardware kiosks? New handheld?
