There'll need to be fire and brimstone falling from the heavens before we miss an issue of WAYP -- and even under those dramatic circumstances, don't rule the weekly feature out. A niggling Windows 10 issue has put this author out of commission these past couple of days, but we're soldiering on regardless -- minus, y'know, sound.

I'll be playing Smash the Desktop with a Big Fat Hammer. It's a nice, cathartic indie title with low production values but a very satisfying gameplay loop.

Good news everybody! I finally managed to get over my fear of Resident Evil 7 and make it into the homestretch of the game, so all being well I'll be putting the whole thing to bed this weekend. After I've served evil an eviction notice I think I'll probably be getting back to Yakuza 0 or hunting down space criminals in Elite Dangerous.

After having spent the past couple weeks running through my backlog of remasters I'm now finding myself in a weird sort of limbo. I'm stuck between waiting for Night in the Woods to come out and wanting to play games now. I've started playing Titanfall 2 again, so this might have to suffice for the next couple of weeks.

My girlfriend and I are playing some Final Fantasy XIV together this weekend as we prepare ourselves for the new expansion in June. I may even hop on for a game or two on trusty old PES 2017 in between this weekend's Premier League fixtures.

I'll be ploughing through the Ghost Recon Wildlands beta with a friend this weekend, sampling all of the tourist attractions that rural Mexico has to offer. I'll also be continuing my quest to 100% Hitman, which is proving to be time-consuming.

After finishing Arkham Asylum on PS4 the other week, this weekend I'll be continuing my impersonations of a bat in the shadows in Arkham City. Of course I'll also be slipping in a few games of Overwatch in a hunt for those elusive Chinese New Year skins.

I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so. The 80s-tinged Yakuza 0 will be occupying my gaming time this weekend as I fall hopelessly addicted to managing real estate and racing pocket cars. However, I'm also in the process of reviewing Double Dragon IV, another Japanese game looking back to the 80s. My review should be with you early next week, but in the meantime, I've got hundreds of burly thugs to be dealing with. Sayonara!

Not much gaming this weekend for me due to a little event called the Super Bowl. With that said though, it has been a yearly tradition with family that we play NFL 2K on the Dreamcast on Super Bowl weekend.
That's it from us, then. By the way, if you'd like to join Sammy for some Smash the Desktop with a Big Fat Hammer co-op, then you're more than welcome!

I didn't realise it was a Super Bowl weekend.
Kinda bored of everything right now and no money to buy something new, so I'll kill some time with Overwatch, but at least at Monday I will trade my Yakuza 0 with Odin's sphere.
@KratosMD I will NEVER miss a week. I would run over hot coals to get this up.
Not had any new games this year so I'm gonna stick it out for now with some titanfall 2 and maybe some dariusburst with a belief that one day I'll complete all 3000 levels and want the dlc. I know I've been drinking when I sober up ill realise this'll never happen.
In between work I'm continuing to try to platinum Modern Warfare remaster, on the last Act of levels so getting there
Still hanging in there with Pokemon Go! Gen 2 would be nice sooner rather than later.
Been enjoying Fire Emblem Heroes but I really should get back to finishing Fates.
Finishing Doom - which still causes the pro to not shut down properly - then basically waiting for NIOH.
@get2sammyb Yeah, which is why there isn't much gaming for me. Might also sneak in a bit of Fallout 4 tonight as well.
Lots of Final Fantasy X-2 for me! Girl power!
Just watching videos of PS4 games this weekend... I'm finally getting a PS4 at the end of this month, it's so hard to wait, haha.
@get2sammyb Well, you are British. I'm sometimes surprised Super Bowl is even known outside of America.
Anyway, I'm likely gonna be playing Dragon Age Origins' Awakening expansion this weekend whenever I'm not job hunting.
For me I'm wrapping up my PvZ GW2 plat, and of course a few yu-gi-oh matches & may try to finish up my Lego Deminsions plat too.
Not sure. Spent some of today making the most of the Overwatch event but my hands seem to be giving me issues (medical condition) so doing anything at the moment comes with a large helping of pain and discomfort. Hoping to continue Yakuza 0 tomorrow but we'll see.
Oh and my sister had a little boy yesterday so I'm kinda freaking out about being an uncle again too
Language -Tasuki-
I'm playing Let it Die, I'm currently rank 47 in floor 25.
It's getting tough to farm the much needed materials.
I wish loading times were faster in this game
Witcher 3 Heart of Stone and God of War 3 remastered.
I'm currently still attempting to get as many trophies as possible from Uncharted 4 before Horizon Zero Dawn releases. I don't have enough time to get the Platinum in this amount of time.
"Served evil an eviction notice" is one hell of a line @AlexStinton.
Mario Kart 7
And swearing a lot, because of the blue shells.
@quintumply I'm eagerly awaiting your review on Double Dragon, I almost bought it a few days ago and held off, its only a tenner but I will wait for the definitive pushsquare review!
This weekend I'm finishing the campaign in TF2 (most likely Sunday night), will attempt The Witness challenge room again (grrrr) and I'm also playing a terrible puzzle game on Vita called Azkend 2 which is strangely addictive and I cant put it down.
@ShogunRok Yep, I also appreciated that one, @AlexStinton. 😂
Dam you @AlexStinton i cant wait for Elite Dangerous
Im going to try and play eso again give it a second chance with a fresh new character
Im just waiting for the vita charger in the mail, I also might pick up plastation all stars if I so happen to see it again
I'm trying to get the platinum in Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. All I have to do is 100% and any % speed run the game and beat it with only two heart containers. This was easy in Shantae Half-Genie Hero, but Pirate's Curse is a little more difficult of a game.
Playing Rock Band 4 Rivals and Axiom Verge. Not loving it quite as much as metroid but it's not bad.
Completed Resident Evil 7 last weekend so this weekend it's back to mostly Yakuza 0 possibly with some Gravity Rush 2 mixed in.
@getsammyb
That sounds like a very fun spinoff of an old favorite of mine from my college years called Bash the Laptop With an Aluminum Baseball Bat.
It will be a good weekend
I started dark souls III yesterday(finally) and what a game! And for sure im going to play nioh if sallers give it to me sooner
Thinking about Ico too! I diden't play it at all but after TLG i really feel hype for this game , can't wait to see what is it
Remembered I still had some psn wallet money left over from Christmas so I bought and played The Brookhaven Experiment VR..which caused a lot of girly squeals of fright to be produced from my obviously not so manly vocal chords.
Also still playing Watch Dogs 2.
Well I managed to get a ps4 pro this weekend and transferred everything across. I have been playing with a lot of upgraded games to see the difference. I wanted to finish Unravel but I am stuck on the last level due to what appears to be a bug and cannot complete. So may move on to Soma. I am clearing space in schedule for horizon zero dawn when that bad boy drops.
Stardew Valley. Utterly charming, utterly addictive.
It will be FF15 and Skyrim.
Superbowl weekend this weekend so I am taking Monday off as well as it doesn't finish to about 4 am over here.
So after a sleep some more gaming on Monday - better than work.
PS4: Gravity Rush 2
PSVita: Persona 3 Portable
Working this weekend, so no VR for me
Therefore I'll be spending my weekend wooing Yuko-chan & making my way through Tartarus in the excellent Persona 3 Portable.
Also the trophy guide for GR2 is finally up. So I'm going to start chipping away at some of the obscure/tedious trophies when I do get the time.
@get2sammyb and everyone really appreciates your dedication, WAYP is essential reading.
Split between Gravity Rush 2, RE7 and Destiny. Also this is the first full weekend I've had in three weeks. Hurray!!
Just finished Ico for the first time, will now move onto SOTC. I may also dive back into LBP on Vita.
@DrClayman As it's daytime, I would stick RE7 on, when it gets dark TURN OFF IMMEDIATELY.
@LobsterJohnson haha, started it yesterday, but I'm playing it in VR anyway, so I'm fudged regardless of the time of day
I earned the Platinum yesterday on Atelier Shallie Plus on my Vita. I think to finally start World of Final Fantasy or the Trails of Cold series...
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance and a bit of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XV (just leveling up on FFXV now i have Platinumed it)
might also drop into Star Trek Online now the Agents of Yesterday Expansion is coming soon, just to make sure everything is in order
@get2sammyb @ShogunRok I'm glad you liked it 😀
@SKC_Diamond I'm itching to play Elite on my PS4 as well.
I'm playing 'become dad for 4th time'. Mixed with some wonderful, awesome and addictive FFXV!
@Aexurion Congrats!
@pbernoos DS 3 is great but just wasn't as special as DS1 or Bloodborne for me :/ want to play through it again though to see if I change my mind on it
Having just finished Resident Evil 7 for the first time (of many) it's put me in the mood for some survival horror. So having skimmed my library it'll be Resident Evil remake and revelations 2 alongside Outlast and Until Dawn
Playing a mix of Crash Bandicoot 2 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. I came late to the party on the latter.
I expect it will be Infinite Warfare as its double keys this weekend and the new DLC dropped on tuesday...
Unless any friends want a game of something different...
Was planning ok playing ffxv all weekend and then I decided to finally check out shadow of mordor. Pretty much been playing that ever since, that's quite a good game.
Didnt see this till today since I checked early on Sat and it wasnt there so...
I am trophy hunting on Lego SW TFA and my Miku games. Got Double Dragon 4. Nice, short stages and a bit hard but fun in co op.
I'm just so glad that I bought Yakuza 0! Like, I was already addicted to the game, it's awesome...but now...I just CAN'T stop playing the Host minigame with Goro! God damn, It's like it's a whole game inside the game
I'll be playing The Last of Us...it's been a few days I've been playing it again (I dont really have an Idea how many times I finished it!)...
and My PS plus subscription was expired two days ago...means no Battlefield 1 or Titanfall 2 for a while...
beside all this...I'm just gonna sit back, relax and wait for one of the biggest hits of the year...you guessed it..."Horizon Zero Dawn" XD
Mostly Yakuza 0, and I'll be watching the game.
Impulse bought the last guardian so going to get stuck into that if the kids ever let me on my ps4!
Managed to play about the first hour earlier and already love trico... So adorable.
I've been playing Tales of Symphonia HD. I haven't played it since the original came out on the GameCube so it is nice to go back to. I'm enjoying it but certain elements have aged a bit. The battle system in particular has been greatly improved in future instalments.
I've also recently got back into Dragon Quest Builders on the Vita after being sidetracked for the past few months. It's stupendously good! I love the script which is full of the usual Dragon Quest flair and gathering materials to build up my towns is addictive and fun.
The weekend has been mainly shared between FFX-2 and Dishonored. After learning about the ability to complete the game with no kills (in a game starring an assassin, no less!), I decided to go for that from the start, so Mission 1 took me quite a while... and now I'm replaying it because there was that one assassin in the prologue. XD Incidentally, the count of "your victims found" apparently remains 1 higher than actual number regardless since the empress's death is still being officially blamed on Corvo.
The game really gives me Bioshock vibes in terms of exploration gameplay, story and setting, though - and I love it.
@Aexurion congratulations!
Continue through story in watch dogs (1) in boost mode , so game is much smoother. I'm really enjoying new features from 4.50 firmware . For me best feature set from all updates on PS4.
Playing Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep, getting all the trophies for it which makes the game last 10x longer than one play through. Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, and Rave In The Redwoods the new DLC for COD.
Resident evil 7.
An excellent return to form in my opinion.
PS Vita - Trails of Cold Steel 2. I really need to finish up this excellent game, i'm in the last area or so but I keep putting it off.
PS4 Pro - I have most of January's major releases but I will wait and crack into Nioh sometime this coming week.
Xbox 1 Slim - Nothing.
Wii U - Mario 3D World. A random level here and there.
3DS - Nothing.
It feels like there's one of these every 3 days or so. Time's going too quickly.
Anyway, all I've been playing recently is RE7 and Star Ocean 5 on PS4 and the Ace Attorney Trilogy on 3DS. I also have TLG that I need to get back to but my initial experience 3 weeks or so ago was so bad I haven't touched it since. I have a load of games on hold like KH1.5 (PS3 version) for no real reason, and FFXV that I really ran out of steam with since the plot and characters are so bland and weak so far (40-50 hours in).
@Churchy Metal Gear Bandicoot 25? I thought that was stuck in development hell!
I played absolutely nothing this weekend. Haven't played anything in a while for that matter. Can't seem to get in to anything lately. Does anyone else get that? Loads of games that look right up your street but you just can't enjoy them for some weird reason?
@PaperyWhiteBoy I managed to sneak a copy out of Naughty Konami's office.
I spent a good long time on Forza Horizon 3, I like the road races but I'm not liking the off road ones. I find these very frustrating, even on the easiest setting and it makes me regret getting it.
@get2sammyb @nhSnork
Thank you! He was born 5.5h ago. Some things you just can't get used to ^^
