Now that the Destiny 2 talk can take place without having to tiptoe around rumours and speculation, we should be hearing much, much more about Bungie's sequel over the coming months. The developer is promising a gameplay reveal on the 18th May, and later this year, you'll be able to try the shooter out for yourself thanks to an open beta.
Said open beta doesn't have a confirmed date, but as its technical name suggests, it'll be open to everyone. Those who pre-order the game will be able to take part in the beta earlier.

So that no sequel plan didnt go well huh.
I might give it a shot if pre release warms me to it better than the original did.
Though I expect we will have to buy 3 more games value in money worth of DLC before the eventual sequel they said wouldnt happen for 10 years lands in 2020.
@BLP_Software What no sequel plan was that exactly? I keep hearing this 10 year plan thing :')
I expect another awesome beta that gives the impression that the actual release is much more expansive than the game actually is.
The original destiny beta covered 3/4ths of the actual release then they asked for another 40 quid once you've been suckered in to fill in the numerous gaps.
Not being hoodwinked again after the first release.. I'll wait till the full finished game with all dlc.
A shame as destiny really played brilliantly.
@BLP_Software The franchise was a 10 year plan, not a one game and done deal.
If I see a lot of my friends playing this I may not be able to resist the temptation to buy it. I mean I would have gotten it eventually, but now I'm considering getting earlier... xD
Was tempted to pre-order just for the beta access, might as well hold off now.
I'm excited to play the beta/game/expansions no matter the cost.
FOR THE SPICY RAMEN SHOP!!!
@solocapers 3/4ths lol no need to tell complete fibs
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi OK there was a little sarcasm in my post but in reality the demo did cover a huge amount of the actual release.
The story was non existent unless you read online cards and they pretty much acknowledged that by the massive amounts of changes via the dlc.
