Guns across the board seem to be pretty well balanced in Ghost Recon: Wildlands, but we've stumbled across several choice picks that have made our lives as special agents that much easier. As such, we've put together this guide on where to find some of the best guns in the game. We'll be trying to add to this guide as we continue through the release, so be sure to check back in due time.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands' Best Assault Rifles
ACR
The ACR is a solid assault rifle suited for just about any situation. It has high accuracy, handling, and rate of fire, making it easy to use and especially deadly if you can get a good burst off. It does slightly less damage than some other weapons in this category, but its high rate of fire can make up for that as long as you keep hitting your target.

Vector .45 ACP
The Vector has a maxed rate of fire statistic, meaning that it can absolutely shred close to midrange targets. What's more, its high handling makes it reasonably easy to control, even if its accuracy does leave something to be desired when engaging at slightly longer ranges.

Great article!
Great shotguns? Try this...
Go to the upper right hand corner of Agua Verde and get the SASG 12, then go to Libertad and get the 30 round magazine for it. It also isn't a bad idea to get either the compensator for it from (I think) Ramanzo or the suppressor from Inca Camina (and it IS in Inca Camina. The game incorrectly states that it's in Mojocoyo).
Either way, this weapon is amazing. It has semi and full auto fire, and while its stats are mostly lower across the board than those of the Spas 12, You get a LOT more ammo, it reloads much faster, and frankly the thing still kills in one shot at close range. Not to mention I full auto fired it down a corridor full of baddies, and it literally looked like it was making ground meat. It absolutely tore them up. It's an amazing complement to my SCAR-H.
I wanted to make the Spas my go to shotgun, but the Saiga just outclasses it in my opinion.
The M4A1 is also a great rifle especially with the large 50 round magazine and a grenade launcher. Really, any assault rifle should have a launcher. They're great for taking out choppers.
Also I got the MSR, and it's a pretty great sniper rifle.
Ever since the original Rainbow Six days, I've been a big fan of the FAMAS. Seems like a lot of games end up killing it's range in favor of fire rate (for balance) though. I know it's in the game somewhere, I just need to find it
@get2sammyb Agreed more of this sort of thing would be nice.
In the open Beta i got one or two nice sniper rifles but the scopes they had were short range?
@azurerat You can find scopes with more magnification. Also worth mentioning that you can change the zoom on some scopes by aiming and then pressing one of the directional buttons. I forget which!
I've updated this with a couple more great guns.
Tar -21 is arguably better than acr. With same loadout Tar-21 has slightly more damage and penatration, while acr has slightly more accuracy and handling and when I say barely I mean barely so if you want more damge for same rate of fire go with tar.
@azurerat max range scope is 6x
@BladeRider sry correction with same gear tar and acr have same damge , but tar has higher rate of fire , penetration and range , while acr has better accuracy and noise reduction . Handling is same for both. To me Tar-21 is better.
