Your free roster of PlayStation Plus games for March 2017 are available to download right now in Europe. Those of you in North America may need to wait a few hours following the publication of this article for the freebies to roll out in your region, but rest assured they're coming.
The goodies this time include the sublime Tearaway Unfolded, the promising Disc Jam, the nostalgic Lumo, the imaginative Severed, the ridiculous Earth Defense Force 2025, and the token anime junk Under-Night In-Birth Exe:Late. Alright, alright, we haven't played the latter β but with a name like that we don't have particularly high hopes for it.

Has Sony settled on an update time yet in the west? I remember waiting all day and night for a few of those PS3 updates, sometimes it would be at 3, or 5, or 7, or 11, or 11:59. Occassionally technically the next day at 3AM. Nintendo has always done a pretty good job at noon. Admittedly they've never had as much to download as Sony, but some weeks are much more than others, and always at noon.
Doesn't really matter to me anymore what time it is, just wondering if they ever decided on one, officially announced or not.
Why bad mouthing Under-Night In-Birth Exe:Late? it's a very well reviewed 2d fighter/visual novel in the style of BlazBlue from makers of BlazBlue.
Meh to all of those. Tearaway is good but could never hold my interest.
Looking forward to giving Disc Jam a go!
@rjejr I would also be curious to know the exact time these rule out. Is it seriously a different time every month?
Disc Jam oh yeah!!!!
I'm looking forward to playing Lumo the most but will try them all,except for Tearaway as I played that already..and its amazing!
@JoeBlogs I don't know how,but I nearly fell for that lol
I was looking forward to Tearaway but I wasn't aware you used the motion sensor 90% of the time to do most thing's including move so I promptly turned it off, not my thing at all. The other two look ok though, played a little on Lumo i'll defo play it some more.
I bought Tearaway Unfolded back when it came out and thought it was incredibly boring (granted, I only played a few hours worth). Does the game pick up speed? Should I get back into it?
@dkxcalibur "Is it seriously a different time every month?"
Just for the record I was talking about all the weekly PSN updates that occur on Tuesday, not specially PS+ updates which could have a set time each month different from the normal weekly updates. But I honestly can't recall EVER reading a time, I just know everything is on Tuesday, used to be on Wednesday. I'm not sure if Ntinedo ever officially said "noon" either (noon my time, 9AM west coast, Reggie hits the button when he wakes up) but that's what time it always is, week after week.
@ohhaime Agreed, people who are a part of the press who haven't played a game have no right to badmouth it, as that can unfairly affect sales...
Erm Under-Night...has a Metacritic of 80. Hardly rubbish as your article suggest!!

Haven't been able to find a match in disc jam. Seems like it would be fun....π
Heard nothing but good things about Tearaway so looking forward to giving that a go!
@xMEADx You must not have played very far. After the tutorial you control your player fully. So like after 5 minutes. Its a really fun game.
Couldn't find the link in the article so here's the updated US PS+ store.

@JoeBlogs
The Last of Us
Sonic the Hedgehog
Gran Turismo 3
Man, if you're serious, it sounds like the best 2D fighting game ever. XD
EDIT: a blog "engine" in 2017 can't seem to process bullet point lists properly? The more you know.
Tried the Vita offerings already, albeit shortly. Lumo is starting off slow but seems to be going for the "metroidvania" layout rather than the stage-by-stage one (unless it's just big stages) which is a big plus for me. Good to have controls detachable from the isometric grid at will, too.
Severed is VERY promising so far. Atmospheric and controls smoothly. I reckon there will be a lot of backtracking encouraged since "House" area ended after just 29% explored; perhaps there's a secret door to more territory to be uncovered later. Notable that earning skill upgrade materials encourages better performance in combat, too. Overall, gives me a creepy and delicious vibe comparable to The Forest of a Thousand Demons. Loving this game already.
And seriously, is this really NL team's first close encounter with Engrish? Personally, I do think it can have a sort of "narm charm" at times, and that's coming from an English teacher. XD
@Splints Ahh ok thnx i'll try it again for sure now
Well that Disc Jam game is a laugh..
None.
If you never played it, make sure you download Tearaway.
"Which will you play first?"
None this month. Complete Tearaway on Vita and PS4 and the others hold no interest...
So under night is a 2d fighting game?!? Never heard of it. We dont get enough fighting games in ps+. I never liked blax blu but im still intrested. Already had tearaway on vita and yes it was awesome and magical! Hearing someone say that severed is creepy has got my attention!!!
