It's hard not to get excited for a new Housemarque game – especially one where Defender maker Eugene Jarvis has played a part in its production. Good news, then: Nex Machina will launch on 23rd May according to a PlayStation Store pre-order page in Europe. There's no date for North America just yet, but we assume that it'll be the same.
The game will cost $19.99/£15.99 at launch, but if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber and you pre-order you'll only need to pay $15.99/£12.79. We got hands on time with this one late last year, and we reckon it's one you should be keeping an eye on.
Update: Nex Machina may not launch on 23rd May after all. Here's what Housemarque said of the matter on Twitter: "The game is slated for summer and May is the placeholder that we set."

Day one!
Great price, we should all buy this and show our support for this amazing initial price from a top developer. Good show and I say this sometimes and don't buy as I'm a forgetful buffoon. This time it true!
DAY 1 BABY!
