You may have seen Bandai Namco released a teaser trailer for a new title last week, and now it's been officially announced as an action role-playing game named Code Vein, which is set to release on as of yet unspecified platforms. It's probably safe to assume that the PlayStation 4 will be one of the consoles that the title comes to.
While an official worldwide reveal is slated for 20th April, the game sounds a little like Dark Souls if we dare draw the comparison. You'll assume the role of a Revenant, a vampire with access to supernatural abilities. Judging by a translation of the Famitsu coverage, it sounds like if you don't feast on enough blood, you'll transform into a monster, though it's not entirely clear what gameplay implications this will have.
The interesting thing here is that it's being created by some of the key personnel behind the God Eater games, and is being built using Unreal Engine 4. Apparently, production is currently 35 per cent complete, with a release not planned until at least 2018. Sounds intriguing, though – almost like Anime Souls, we suppose. Consider our interest piqued.

I hope the actual gameplay uses the same art style as the trailer.
Sounds very interesting. I'll definitely keep it on my radar.
Is it just me or does it have a kind of a Bloodborne vibe to it?
@F-racsO It definitely does, yeah.
Anime Souls? My weab senses are tingling...
@Bliquid Freedom Wars was Sony/Shift, I thought?
Not a huge fan of God Eater (I find the series fun, though I still don't find it as stellar as SSD or Monster Hunter) but I'm really interested in their new project other than God Eater 3. Really hope it will be it's own game and not some Souls clone just because of the phrase "Prepare to dine". I love the Soulsbourne series but I'm really of this Souls like comparisons.
I get a Bloorayne vibe from this.
But that just might be me.
JUST MAKE BLOODBORNE 2 FFS. DO YOU PEOPLE NOT LIKE MAKING MONEY!?!?!
If it's another soulsborne game, I have to add that to my ever-growing wishlist..
@Bliquid Nope. Seems to be developed internally, with key people from within Bandai Namco who contributed to God Eater.
Sounds cool can't wait to hear more
@GraveLordXD
It can hardly be worse then Bloodrayne Betrayal though.
I expected a side scrolling beat em up.
I got a Super Kaizu platformer
@GraveLordXD
That is the third game, that is Betrayal. The one I don't like, because its not even close to the original.
( and i hate platformers )
The one you don' t like, in the swamp, is the original.
Which is the game i like.
Oh well, different strokes an all that.
@GraveLordXD
IIt doesn't help that I don't like platformers and that Betrayal is in the super kaizo mold of difficulty.
So I wasn't best pleased.
Truth be told though, is that the first act of Bloodrayne 1 is a bit dull. It doesn't get good until act 2.

I'm personally hoping there will be a proper Bloodrayne 3 one of these days.
After all Shenmue 3 is coming.
So anything can happen.
...hopefully.
And you ? Rather see a Bloodrayne Betrayal 2 ?
Super kaizo world, is an extremely hard super mario world rom hack.

bloodrayne 2 is more like Bloodrayne 1, but set in the modern world with slightly better graphics.
It's still the same game otherwise.
And after that it took 7 years for a new Bloodrayne to surface. And it was Betrayal.
..What a fitting name.
I remember the blood omen series.
I have most of them.
bloodrayne is more like Nocturne, also from terminal reality.
Bloodrayne's development name was Nocturne 2

I'd love to see proper HD Bloodrayne 3
