Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory may have an overly long and awkward name, but it's looking like another great role-playing game for fans of Japan's digital monsters. The title's scheduled for a 2018 release here in the West, which gives us plenty of time to devour Japanese teaser trailers like the one we've embedded above.
Unsurprisingly it looks a lot like the great Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, but hey, you don't fix what isn't broken. How do you think this one's shaping up? Digivolve in the comments section below.

Seeing how much I enjoyed cyber sleuth on my psvita I will definitely buy hacker's memory.
So excited for this. Have to count my blessings knowing that this is coming to the west let alone the vita!
I was really disappointed by Digimon Next Order on PS4 so I'm glad that they are returning to the Cyber Sleuth formula.
As much as I liked Cyber Sleuth (and heck, even Next Order sespite its flaws), here are things I hope for HM:
1)Make the world more interactive. Personally, the hub world was style over substance. It looked pretty but you had nothing to do in the world other than buying items. Heck, there are even NPC who you can't even talk.
2)Add more interactions with your digimons. I think even Pokemon X/Y did it right compared to CS. All you did in CS was answering trivia questions
3)Make side quests less tedious. The mayority of the side quests were mostly fetch and battling quests.
4)More diversity in areas. The areas in CS didn't look bad but they started to looked reused at times.
5)If you are going to add a character similar to Kyoko, make it more intriguing and interesting, instead of just looking hot and spoutting metaphors and coffe jokes (Kyoko, I'm looking at you).
6)Better english translation. If there is one thing that I liked from NO compared to CS is that it doesn't suffer translation mistakes or ridiculous dialogues and choices, since CS was abundant with those, and it was so cringy, it was annoying. It was almost as bad as the english translation from the SAO games.
It looks like the Town/Dungeons are the same though
@SuperSilverback Yeah looks like it'll have a lot of reused assets. Means the game gets made faster (by a smaller team as well, perhaps) but it is a bit disappointing to see.
@ShogunRok aslong as it has new areas aswell i wont be too disappointed
I've not played any Digimon games before, but this looks interesting so far.
I own the first, but haven't played. Just like I own UC4, but have only played the first chapter. I have quite the backlog, that new releases are exciting, but non-purchasable...except for NIER. Just finished path A. ...other...
I logged about 110 hours on Cyber Sleuth and when World Next drops to about 30 or so dollars I'll pick that up to kill the time between this release. Keep the Digimon games coming!
Oh heck yeah man!!
@vegeta11 I dunno next order was really good , done the way a digimon world game should be done.
@BladeRider It's more about how bad my backlog is right now then whether I should get Next World or not. Even without picking up that, Nioh, Nier, Berserk & For Honor I'm still really far behind. So it is is in my wait for it to be cheaper over the summer before I stick it i my backlog pile.
@vegeta11 your right , im in same boat.
