We're into April now, which means that Easter is right around the corner and summer looms temptingly on the horizon. It also means that, while most of the big blockbusters have been pushed out ahead of the new fiscal year, there's a colourful array of smaller content for you to sink your teeth into. The question is: what are you playing?

I'm still muddling my way through Mass Effect: Andromeda, but I don't really seem to be making a dent in its storyline. The game seems to be really good at tempting you into investing hours into very little progress. I'm not sure whether I appreciate that or not really...

With a brief break between reviews, I'll be trying to catch up on stuff that I've missed. Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization got a huge update not too long ago that basically adds a free expansion, so I may as well give that a shot. Elsewhere, Ghost Recon: Wildlands might be on the agenda. It's painstakingly generic, but play co-op with the right people and it turns into Team America: The Video Game.

This weekend – along with finally finishing off Horizon: Zero Dawn – I'll be continuing to nibble away at Persona 5. Its been that long since a mainline Persona game that I don't want to gorge myself on this stellar JRPG, but instead take the time to savour every last minute of its greatness.

Before I completely dive into Persona 5 and never come back out again, I'm finishing up VA-11 Hall-A on Steam, the fascinating cyberpunk bar tending visual novel. I wasn't expecting to have something prioritised over Persona, but it's just so great.

After consoling myself with a new playthrough of Persona 4, I finally got my Persona 5 steelbook via delayed post. That is pretty much my entire weekend written off.

I've somehow managed to fall behind on Horizon: Zero Dawn despite loving it to bits, so I'm aiming to make some serious progress this weekend. I'll also be playing some more of April's headline PlayStation Plus title Drawn to Death, a surprisingly entertaining shooter with buckets of personality and plenty of depth. Well worth a look if you're after an action game with both style and substance.

Due to the latest Humble Bundle, which I couldn't resist, I have quite a bit of games to get to this weekend. On PS4 it will be Darksiders, Destroy All Humans, and Diablo III. Wii U wise I am hoping to get some Zelda in.
So with another rather robust issue of WAYP out of the way, we want to know what you're playing. You know the drill: let us know in the comments section below.

Afternoon BBQ followed by getting my platinum for Horizon!
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with some MLB The Show 17 mixed in.
Today I'm shunning the warm weather and playing lots of Persona 5. It's wonderful so far.
Not sure yet. It was going to be a weekend full of Persona 5 but after my darling cat had to be put to sleep last night I feel like I need something big, brash and stupid to simply assault my senses and distract me from my current emotionally wrecked state.
Back home after a week on the road so going to finish off Abzu and maybe go onto Here they Lie on VR. Other than that, even more wandering in Zelda Botw. Wish I could afford P5 but even if I could, no one has it in stock!
@Gatatog sorry to hear that.
Persona and nothing else matters! Almost 60 hours into it!
@Gatatog sorry to hear about your cat
@Gatatog sorry about your cat. For me I just finished getting the Super Vegeta transformation maybe a little work on Human and Namek to finish my Xenoverse 2 plat. Then I'll be switching between Horizon and Persona 5.
Persona 5 on my PS4. Va-11 Hall-A on my laptop. Velocity 2X on my Vita.
I'm a happy camper.
First weekend of the year I'm off work! Get in!
I'm celebrating by waiting for my 20p bet to come in at the Grand National as my wife spent the other £9.80 doing each way on her own bet. No idea what that is and I looked like the biggest cheapskate in the bookies.
Later on its;
Steins Gate and Yakuza Zero.
@themcnoisy The first Steins;Gate? If you're new to the original, then you're in for one heck of a story.
I got the VN, but the anime is still too fresh in my mind to really appreciate it.
Thinking of start beyond 2 souls, not out tonight, off Sunday and as long as I don't drink to much at a bbq should get a good session in.
PS4: Persona 5
PSVita: Final Fantasy
Persona 5 has taken over. Love everything about it. It's just soooo good! Step up from P4G in every possible way.
On vita I'm taking Noctis, Gladio, Ignis & Prompt(o) on a fantastically charming adventure to relinquish the forces of evil & restore the crystal in the original Final Fantasy.
@Gatalog Sorry to hear that.
On a road trip so mostly catching up on 3DS and vita games. Passed through Virginia and about a dozen Switch systems up for grabs haha! Lots of PSVR units down there as well.
There's so many games I need to catch up on.... when I'm back in town, Dishonored 2, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and some Persona 5 here and there.
@Gatatog Sorry to hear that. Big, brash, and sense assaulting I'd have to say God of War, Xenoverse 2, DOOM, Binding of Isaac, Forza Horizon 3, etc.
Persona 5 and maybe a bit of VR
@Gatatog Sorry about your cat. I know how horrible that is. For something distractingly violent I would agree that God of War is a good choice.
I've just got back from my week in New York City and among my post was the shiny steelbook edition of Persona 5 so I'll be smashing that, if my body allows it.
Haven't had much time for gaming this weekend, mostly short bursts on my 2DS. Maybe some Just Dance 2017 later on.
Persona 5! This is the biggest chunk of time I've had to play games in a long time. I've already played for like 26 hours, which is a little crazy with a full time job. But I am loving it so far. Best jrpg I have played since at least FFX for the first time.
Earlier this week I purchased The Last of Us Remastered, which I put down because impressionable eyes and ears were in the room. I also bought The Last Guardian, Zelda BotW, and finally Horizon. I decided to put in Horizon until there wasnt kids around, and now I cant put it down. This world beautiful! The combat is soo much fun! I haven't been this hooked on a game since The Last of Us originally came out. Bravo to Guerrilla Games you guys really pulled this one off! I'm only about 15 hours in and loving every minute of it.
Evil within , chapter 6.
Still playing nier automata and parappa ps4.
Back to work next week and yet I have been trying to play so many games I don't seem to of gotten far on any of them..this is why I always used to just concentrate on one at a time.
Still,I'll be continuing my long adventure with my love Aloy..um,I mean continuing the fantastic Horizon Zero Dawn and Persona 5,some of the great World Of Final Fantasy and still trying to get that plat in Stories-Path of Destiny but after playing through twenty times its starting to drag now..
@Gatatog So sorry to hear about your cat hope your feeling better soon.
Too poor to afford P5, so I'm replaying P4G on vita
PS4- Garou Mark of the Wolves, Last Blade 2, King of Fighters 14, WWE 2K17, and Street Fighter V.
3DS- Animal Crossing New Leaf, Monster Hunter 4, and Monster Hunter Generations
@Gatatog sorry to hear, I had a dog so I know the feeling.
@Gamer83 I didn't know you have a Switch, are you enjoying it so far?
@Gatatog Sorry to hear about your ca.t, losing a pet is always awful
Got the news that my PS4 is unfixable this week so it'll be lots of vita action for a few months while I save up for another one
Been playing lots of Trails of Cold Steel, it continues to be absolutely brilliant:)
I just beat Horizon last night! 88hrs. So now im gonna take a little break before doing the Platinum push. Then i have to revist Gravity Rush 2 TLG, NMS, FF XV...
Thanks to everyone for the comments on the loss of my cat. To the guys who recommended God of War as a brash and distracting game, it was a good call, so thanks for that also.
Still working on Horizon Zero Dawn. I'm up to the final story mission but am finishing up all the sidequests before I complete it. I've got 52 hours so far and probably have another 10-15 hours to play before I get the platinum.
This will be the first game I've ever bothered to platinum.
Per...so...na, got the Premium Edition shipped from the US (it was $50 cheaper to do that than it was to buy locally in Aus), and have been adoring this game, it's everything I wanted it to be and more. It hurts I won't be able to play a JRPG quite this good until the next Persona game (though the high-quality Japanese story-telling gap should be filled by Danganronpa 3).
Horizon! Yesterday figured to squeeze in one mission before leaving for work (nightshift). Apparently, it was a major mission, had to pause the game and decided to complete it in the morning to make sure the PS4 is free for family during my sleep. Trying not to fall asleep was the biggest challenge ^^ Ended up in bed at 9am and slept till 6pm 😂
Playing Kingdom Hearts 2 from the HD 1.5-2.5 Remix and a bit of Mass Effect Andromeda, cannot wait for Kingdom Hearts 3.
Horizon, some ESO, and I'm picking up ARK, because my brother in law has been playing it and can't put it down.
God it sucks to have so many good games to play, my 6 year self would be jealous!
@Gatatog
Even when we know death is part of life, it always hurts to lose a friend.
I cannot put down BotW. Nearing my last Divine Beast now.
The spare moments it gives me I am using them for Snake Pass. Think I will double dip on PS4 to support the dev and for the trophies.
@Gatatog this is why I love this site. Decent people with decent reactions; had you mentioned this on other sites you'd probably have been subjected to the usual trolling. Bravo fellow push squarers. I hope the comments have helped you over your loss.
@Gatatog sorry for your loss
@Gatatog So sorry to hear of your loss.
just picked up Gunjack on the cheap. Tried it out. SOme fun quick VR. Also the God of War 3 remastered, and a little Horizon to boot.
Pokect mortys and maybe something on the vita
@Gatatog Missed your comment somehow. So sorry to hear about this! All I can say is: when the pain recedes, just try and remember the good times. These fuzzy things devote their entire lives to loving us. The least we can do is honor their memory.
@shonenjump86
Yeah, I love the concept of the Switch. It's what the Wii U should have been. Zelda is awesome (my game of the year so far) and there's some cool indies out now and coming out soon that I'll add to my collection while waiting for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
I seem to have gone back to Bloodborne... Currently loving The Old Hunters, once I've finished that and my present playthrough I might tiptoe gingerly into my first chalice dungeon, because if all goes to plan that should be the last trophy I need.
@Gatatog That's rough, sorry to hear it. If it helps, once we got over the initial shock, when our family cat died we started a new Skyrim playthrough in her honour, with a khajiit that looked just like her. She kicked butt!
Ghost recon for me, super addicting gameplay. Really fun playing solo
Weirdly my copy of Yooka Laylee got delivered today so if I can convince myself to stop playing Persona I'll give that a whirl
P5 and BF4 wasn't sure about P5 at first but I can't out it down today, i'm really enjoying it now it's a great game. I like the sound of NG+ as well now it will fit perfect into this game if it's done right which it probably will. I saw your article but i'm not reading anything P5 related until after my first runthrough at least.
@Mergatro1d You couldn't be more right. When I posted I didn't even expect a reply - I only mentioned it because it affected my weekends gaming plans - but it's so nice to have everyone offer their condolences and see how nice everyone in this community is. Thanks everyone.
