Hey, did you know Persona 5 is out today on PlayStation 4 (and PlayStation 3, actually)? Well just in case you've been living under a rock, the game's pushed out a pretty cool launch trailer to remind you of its long awaited arrival.
Atlus' superb role-playing game currently sits at a crazy metascore of 94 on Metacritic, making it the highest rated PS4 title of 2017 so far. We gave it an ultra rare and very much deserved score of 10/10 in our review, which you can read through here.
Are you picking Persona 5 up today? Enjoy it as much as we did in the comments section below.

''The Highest Rated PS4 Game of 2017 Is Out Today''
Only a 94...?
That's only because Ape Escape 4 hasn't been announced yet.
According to Metacritic, it's the third highest-rated PS4 game of all time, right under The Last of Us: Remastered. Genuinely impressed that an old-school, turn-based JRPG scored so well with Western critics in 2017. Let's hope it sells well to boot. It looks like Atlus knocked this one out of the park.
Such an amazing game. Loving every second of it
@shogunrok if you have never played a Persona game would it be ok to start with 5? Everything I see makes me want this game and I love JRPGs but not sure if I'm missing out on too much back lore.
@vegeta11 It's an absolutely fine place to start. All of the Persona stories are separate, and aside from some returning creatures and small references here and there, there's nothing stopping you from going into this one blind. It's also probably the most accessible entry in the series to date.
My copy is arriving tomorrow. I'm getting the steelcase version, man it suck that the price of take your heart edition is so expensive in my country, about $150
I received my Steelbook copy today but I promised myself I wouldn't start a new rpg until I'd finished World Of Final Fantasy or Final Fantasy XV..of which I've finished neither...so,I've been restraining myself all day...but..I..can't..hold on..much..longer!!!
I'm buying it in a few weeks time. I decided to go for Yakuza Zero on Monday which I don't regret thus far and has been on my wanted list since the @ShogunRok review a few months back. Have fun everyone, I'm pretty jealous.
I've been looking at the rave reviews, but, still have no idea what the game is actually about. Is it an RPG in such a way that you build up your ability tree, have various weapons and quests? Or is it a bit more linear with regards to the story? Is it similar to Catherine, because that got rave reviews and I thought it was painfully boring. Questions, questions, questions 😀
Just played the first 2.5 hours. I was getting a little ticked off though because I really needed to stop but it was never giving me the save option on the screen. Which may be a problem if I need to stop playing suddenly. Other than that, I'm really enjoying it. Already had a moment when I was like, "omg...this is freaking amazing!" 😀
I'm loving it, but after playing SO MUCH Persona 4 Golden, this prologue is dragging with all the tutorials. Great story, but having everything spelled out for me is boring!
I've already put in 12 hours into P5. My eyes hurt but it's been so worth it. Easily the most stylish game I've ever played
Is the 5 a title or is it a numbered sequel?
Like Johnny 5 or Resident Evil 5, I mean.
I've never heard of this before today when I see the landing page is filled with headlines for this game.
Almost 40 hours in the game and I agree with the reviewers. Best game of PS4 for now at least.
@Gold_Ranger Just a number, each Persona is separated from the others like Final Fantasy games
