Our condolences to those of you who tried to register for theatre tickets for this year’s PlayStation E3 2017 Experience. As is often the case with these kind of things, Sony has been forced to pull the website where fans were supposed to apply for free tickets as it completely buckled under demand.
It’s unclear exactly what’s going to happen next; some were able to register, but many weren’t. The manufacturer has said that it will have “an update tomorrow” and has thanked everyone for their patience. We’ll let you know when we learn more.

Yeah...not a great start to my 2017 playstation experience.
Certainly disappointing to see Sony choose the wrong website for registration. It obviously could not handle the traffic. I hope we get a second chance to reservr tickets on a more robust website.
I still think that using different event services based on time zones would work better. Have PT use the gofobo, have EST use eventgrid, have CT use eventbrite. That way everyone isn't bottlenecking one website.
I managed to get my tickets just a few minutes before they "sold out" at my local theater.
I'm upset at all the hassle, but relieved I got them in the end
