PlayStation's E3 2017 Press Conference Time and Date Confirmed

The hype...I can feel it

I think I'll catch up in the morning.

Most other companies manage a decent time of day Sony. I know it gives ample time to rewrite based on what MS does, but still.

Well, if they trot out Hideo Kojima to tell us what his game may be, or what genre it isn't, to the sound of a bleeding orchestra as they beat their chest and say "look how great we are?" again, we know the internet will still call it the best thing since TV was created.

I usually avoid staying up for e3 and just catch up the following day, but with my daughter due towards the end of may, I reckon chances are I will be awake to watch it live this year. Hope Sony deliver again!

Bloodborne 2

@get2sammyb @BLP_Software I'm pretty sure this is at least the 3rd, if not the 4th, year in a row they are doing it Monday night at 9, so I'm OK with it. I'm a big fan of consistency. A little late for my kids but it tends to be filled with games they don't play anyway. It's for the US, those times make sense. I'm looking forward to it once again.

Once again, I'll have to switch out the spirits for the coffee. At least the Sony conference should be worth staying up for.

Horizon DLC could be a nice surprise. More TLOU2 info, not necessarily footage. Some surprise demos on the store is always nice and yeah GOW and Spidey.

I hope we have a great E3 this year. My Xbox one is a 360 machine, I sold my Switch since there is nothing coming out. My PS4 is a kingdom hearts machine.

@get2sammyb Well I'm hyped for Crash and God of War. Its just I don't know what I want anymore.

@get2sammyb You know I'm being sarcastic Sammy I only make that joke because of E3 2013 with the videos that popped up fast, and that powerpoint slide price reveal.

I kind of feel their grandiose attitude for E3 has gotten a bit worn on me by now. Maybe a new approach or theming to their conferences but keeping the pace would pique my interest?

@kyleforrester87 I'm appreciating the mockery. You're more suave about it than some on NL, I'll give you that much. Good thing I take things in stride eh? But no, E3 isn't for me. Too many people, Id be having a constant panic attack, plus you aint getting me on a plane or boat.

And honestly? Do I want the next big thing? Hell no. I just want people to smile when playing a game I make. I'm an entertainer at heart. Even if it's just one person, I'm good.

@rjejr I'll give them points for scheduling consistency but must it be when Ill start packing for moving house again? Every year XD

Sony's is usually pretty late over here. I'll do what I always do: make it like Christmas and get up in the morning and watch it fresh!

would be awesome if they open the show with the live orchestra playing bloodborne music and the curtain open to "Sony Interactive Entertainment presents - A From Software production" just like they did last year with God of War

I expect to see Dreams, Knack 2, Hellblade, Ni no Kuni 2, God of War, Days Gone, Detroit: Become Human, Spider-Man, Gran Turismo Sport, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy...maybe Death Stranding. Also, some new titles from Sucker Punch, From Software, maybe Supermassive or Ready at Dawn, and I wouldn't be surprised at a focus on Japanese games given the recent successes.

Should be jam packed. And with the 60 million announcement at Sony's earnings report, more game oriented than game division.

Can't stay up to watch it as I have work the next morning (probably wouldn't stay up anyway). At least I can watch it as soon as I get home.

Would really like to see Sucker Punch's game, something from Japan Studio, PSASBR2, God of war footage. And maybe something from TLOU 2 if we're really lucky.

Im wondering, what's up with the frickin ninja theory hellblade game? Kinda fell off the earth as it seems like they are putting a little too much effort into face animations and real time nature shib... I mean it's cool and all but I sure hope it doesn't distract the team from making the combat great too. Its been what like 4 years in development? Hoping for some hands on stuffs so I can try it. That and the FF7 remake 4 sure

Mostly it'd be nice to get release dates. I know most of the big games we've seen are expected for next year...but "coming 2018" will be kind of annoying to see after a trailer..

@get2sammyb thats honestly perfect! The awesome thing about this is how the orchestra builds up the anticipation for a couple minutes until the game gets shown. Audience will probably be able to tell but the mystery surrounding it is just pure hype. Like I mean last year yeah you could kinda get a sense it was a God of War game, but not entirely it kept people in mystery!

Honestly they should open each E3 like this from now on, absolutely epic!

Destiny 2 Demo/Beta details, COD: WWII campaign demo/ multiplayer trailer, Star Wars: Battlefront II quick mp trailer and or single player demo (primarily will be shown at EA Play but PS is banking big on this one, wouldnt be surprised to see a PS4 themed console announced), Don't think we'll see Read Dead 2 at E3, you know Rockstar lmao, Assassin's Creed Empire demo shown (again also at Ubi conference but I imagine Sony will have marketing of this one too as it did all AC'S except for Unity).

First Party:

Sucker Punch's new IP trailer shown, Gran Turismo Sport release date confirmed at end of a new trailer (probably this fall), God of War new epic demo (ppl have been so thirsty for moreee) release date at end of trailer I'm guessing March 2018.
I see Days Gone being at PSX 2017 big time. Probably ppl will think I'm mad but I don't see it being at E3 this year, same goes for dreams I see that being at PSX 2017 too, Uncharted The Lost Legacy story trailer, Horizon: Zero Dawn story expansion confirmed, probably for this fall or early 2018, SPIDER-MAN demo (Finally) with 2018 release date at end, Something from, From Software although it's a safe bet to say its Bloodborne 2!, Death Stranding? ehhh maybe. Reminder that Crash is coming in a few weeks. And Finally they close with TLOU part II trailer at the end. I don't think we'll see gameplay, I think that's gonna be the psx 17 opening.

I would not mind a Demon Souls 2 i liked Demon Souls better then Dark Souls anyway. Or maybe even better Legend of Dragoon 2 i will even settle for a remaster of part 1. 😀

@adf86 yeh, nothing much except stuff about facial features, some passable sample combat footage and a release date of 2017... I just figured it was due time to show to the world some finished progress or a pre-launch trailer. Plus, with this leak of darksiders 3 it will prove a worthy opponent seeing as they both are female lead games about killing demons.

@BLP_Software Well I don't think they schedule their EU shows in Germany and Paris with us in mind, E3 is all we got. And yes, consistency does mean it happens every year while you are packing.

We get EGX and stuff dotted around Europe. Whoopie. It's sad really. They can easily do it at a time that's reasonable. East coast is -8 hours, so do it...say...5pm our time. Easy.

All these posts and not one about PSVR. Is this thing a dead duck? I want nothing more than a real push from Sony on this device. Announce some AAA games, what their plan is etc etc. Don't you bloody dare turn my PSVR into another Vita.

I'll be honest, I like the news I get from E3 but I just hate all the forced presentations so will not stay up till the early hours for them. I hate the forced clapping and forced hype and, for some reason, the little microphones that are strapped to peoples faces. They just annoy me.

@bman2112 Agree - I would like to seem some sort of admission that PSVR exists and how they see the system progressing. They have provided new content since launch but they have only just started to advertise again.

My hopes for E3 2017:

1. Phantasy Star Online 2 (Western Release)
2. Shenmue 3 playable
3. The Order 1887

@ArkhamKnerd I reckon Spider-Man will be oct/nov this year and Days Gone will be march/April 18

I want bloodborne 2 and demon soul remaster, plus god of war and spiderman release date.

Also puppeteer remaster for ps4.

Looking forward to this as Sony's been on fire with PS4. Hope they keep up this momentum for the whole generation (and beyond!).

However I'm actually more excited to see what Nintendo have in store for Switch. They've had poor E3 presence in the last few years and I feel they really need to please the fans. If they actually have games I'm interested in like Metroid etc then I'll probably pick up a Switch sooner rather than later. Thing is they seem to have forgotten their original fanbase has grown older and they don't cater for us any more which is a shame.

I have a feeling Sony is gonna smash it out of the park.

@waluigifan1 Have you looked into the 2DS? Plenty of great games there, released and upcoming, from Super Mario Maker, Zelda and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy to Fire Emblem, Miitopia and Dragon Quest XI (with a different version on PS4, of course).

@waluigifan1 Also your PS4 should see more action. Have you tried Just Dance 2017, Dragon Quest Heroes II, Shantae, Wonderboy: Dragon's Trap, Odin Sphere, A Boy and His Blob, Rogue Legacy, Valkyria Chronicles just to name a "few"?

Monday is a day off for me, but I'll likely do what I do every year and wait for the news to pop up.

On top of all the current gen awesomeness I hope to get something about upping the PS2 to PS4 releasewindows. Right now, it's pretty much lacking. And what we actually get isn't what we crave for.

They can't give us backwards compatibility. But it's really sad they aren't putting in enough resources to give a whole lot more actual PS2 gems to play. Of course, upscaled and added trophies WITH PLATINUMS FFS!!

Sony, Microsoft and Bethesda these are the three conferences I am looking forward to hope they blow me away

The problem is, continental US - nobody cares about Alaska or Hawaii - has 4 times zones itself, so they do the show 6PM for California, then, 7, 8 and 9PM in NY. So the US shows already have 4 time zones to worry about, can't expect them to worry about any more than that. Well they could, but I expect 4 is enough for reasonable expectations. That's about 3 more than Ntiendo usually cares about. I'm pretty sure they just pick 1 and go w/ that.
