Sony is not shying away from E3 2017 in the slightest. Floor plans are live for the Los Angeles convention, and the platform holder has reserved a terrifying 43,500 square feet of floor space, which eclipses every other company in attendance. The manufacturer will be next door to a very roomy Nintendo booth (32,400 square feet) in the West Hall. Meanwhile, Microsoft is in the South Hall with just 17,412 square feet total reserved.
Of course, it’s worth mentioning that floor space may not necessarily correlate with the amount of content on display. The Japanese giant will surely have plenty of PlayStation VR kiosks which take up a lot of space, and looking at the floor plan, it looks like Sony Europe has its own area next to the primary PlayStation booth.
The PlayStation maker will also be broadcasting live every day from the show floor, so when you take all of that into account, it makes sense that it’s reserved a massive amount of space. Seeing as this is the first E3 where the public will be in attendance, though, it’s positive that Sony’s going to have the largest presence of all.

Guessing it's partly to do with the increased footfall from the public tickets. Getting really excited now though, not long to go!
I'm not actually working on the Tuesday so for the first time ever I might stay up and watch it live. Maybe.
sly Cooper 5 will be at e3
Can't wait for e3
Does that include space for 3rd Party games like CoD and Destiny? Both of which are affiliated with Playstation. EA also has its own site but could have a presence at E3 with Sony - SW:BF2 and (possibly) Fifa 18.
VR also requires a bit of space for each player - more so than a room of consoles/screens.
Space itself is not necessarily indicative of 'Sony's' content. If Sony (for example) were using a much bigger space per game, especially with VR, maybe more consoles for demoing each title than others too (like 50 consoles per game instead of maybe 20 that others may be using), as well as showcasing and allocating a lot of space EA, Activision, Rockstar and/or Warner Bros (if they have anything to show), It may still only have a similar presence with its own titles as others.
@BAMozzy Of course, they'll have indie stuff to show, too. As will all three of the platform holders.
Sony seems to always bring out the big gun announcements and surprises at this event 😀
@get2sammyb Of course but again all could have a very different approach to their 'indie' presence. Sony could have a bigger focus on individual indie games, giving many its own space where as MS for example could have a space allocated for their ID@Xbox games and bundle them all under the same space. In the space that Sony may be showing 1-2 Indie games, MS could be showing off 10-20. Instead of having to go from booth to booth to see each individual indie, they could all be in one area - one console for those wanting to demo them all instead of having to go to a separate console to demo each.
Time will tell of course and I am playing devils advocate a bit. Its like saying MS's 2016 briefing was definitely going to be better because their briefing was longer and showed off more games numerically speaking where as Sony only had an hour.
Need alot of floor space for vita 2 units 👍
I'm more surprised about the Nintendo space. Hopefully they will have a lot to reveal!
I mean yeah, that's a lot of space. Impressive, but nothing that invokes horror or fear really.
...When is E3 anyway ?!
