Handkerchiefs at the ready: Square Enix’s Tokyo RPG Factory has another twee tale to regale involving fallen fathers and vanishing mothers. Lost Sphear is the next game from the creators of I Am Setsuna, set for release in early 2018 on the PlayStation 4. The game will build upon the battle system from the aforementioned title, and to be honest the art style looks similar, too.
The story will see you assume the role of Kanata, a young boy who discovers that his home world is disappearing. You’ll need to recruit party members, head out in search of the truth, and basically do all of the things that tend to occur in old-school RPG titles.
The game will be available from the PlayStation Store, though a limited number of physical copies will be sold on Square Enix’s official website. So yeah, we’re sure more trailers will be released in the months leading up to release, but for now you’ll have to make do with the reveal one embedded at the top of this article.

Great! Hopefully they can build on IAS because while not being bad it was a bit of a disappointment.
That title is so painful to read.
@EVIL-C especially if your a dutch. Twee means two in dutch:P
Saw this earlier and think it looks really interesting. On my watch list.
Agree the title isnt the most inspiring though.
I enjoyed Setsuna but I was happy to have bought it on sale...hope they fix the minor gripes I had with that title.
Combat looks great! You won't see me complaining about getting more of these type of RPGs.
Love the look of this! More old school RPGs are always welcome. If they can build on Setsuna in the right areas this could be great. Awful name, but at least it's no 'Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness'!
Frankly, this is so much suitable for handheld gaming. I plan to get a Switch down the line, and this is just the kind of game I want to play on it — so Sony will lose a purchase from me on this and other games that would be perfect for the VITA.
