To coincide with Ubisoft’s financial call, the French publisher has dropped the most anticlimactic announcements on its forums. Hand-in-hand with Far Cry 5 – it’s using a nice font, that one – the company has confirmed that The Crew 2 is set to release at some point before 31st March, 2018. So, there’s that.
Here’s a comment from one of the firm’s community managers: “Beyond the road... Stay with us for more high octane thrills!” You can check out the logo embedded above.
The original The Crew was a bit of an enigma really; its massive open world was something of a bore and it never really handled particularly well, but Ubisoft must have seen some success with it because it kept adding new content – and even went as far as overhauling the entire graphics engine with one patch. Weird.

Even though it can seem a bit overwhelming or might not even appeal to everyone, more games is always a good thing.
Never played the first game but was always tempted to pick it up. Actually that said, I haven't played a proper car-racing game on the PS4. What with this GT Sport, Need For Speed, Project Cars 2 and possibly a few others it's nice to have a few more vehicles in the race when I finally decide to dip back into that genre.
Funny that considering i bought and played it recently. It was average, so i much preferred Need For Speed 2015.
They need to add G29 support this time. It was my own fault for assuming it was included, but seriously, why wasn't it?
Same thing with Need for Speed 2015.
Got the first one free was boring, but I only really like kart racers.
1st one had its moments. It was a great concept but the world was pretty empty and seemed half baked in some areas. Had a lot of fun with the pop tho. 2017 is shaping up to be another great year for racing games!
The first one was really a guilty pleasure of mine, it was fun in short bursts but the open world was far too big. Look forward to the sequel.
