Farpoint launches for PlayStation VR this week alongside the PlayStation VR Aim Controller. The game represents the first blockbuster first-person shooter to be released for Sony's virtual reality headset, but is it any good? If the written word is more your thing, then you’ll find a full text review through here, but we’ve also put together a video review which includes all of our impressions in addition to over ten minutes of PS4 Pro gameplay so do check it out above, and do subscribe to our channel if you haven't already.

Sounds like in order to get the true VR experience on either PS4 or PC I'd still have to put down at least $700, not including games or add on peripherals. As fun as a VR starship troopers experience looks, I'm still waiting a few years for better, cheaper tech to come along (if it doesn't fizzle out by then).
@RedMageLanakyn thats funny because I have a vr and after experiencing it Im ready for them to come out with a pricer one with say 4k screen inside. I'd pay for that no doubt.
@RedMageLanakyn also dont mean to sound like Im trying to sell u on it , its just one of those things that I didnt know how good it was till I actually tried it. Like when you for get that somethings not real like a table and you try to lean on it in game lol.
@BladeRider My biggest issues are space and time. I currently do not have room for an additional box+headset, plus all the wires in my living room. My PC space is very limited as well. I also split my game time (maybe 3 hours a night) between PS4 and PC, with decent backlogs on both. There are only a handful of VR titles that look to be worth trying, and from what I've seen, it doesn't look like $700 is a worthwhile investment when i already have a ton of games on the back burner.
I'm all for trying it out when I have the space and get my backlogs cleared up, but i'm also ok waiting a couple years to see where they take the next iterations of the tech.
This thing is just to cool not to pick up
@RedMageLanakyn like I said wasn't trying to sound like I was trying yo force it on you. But I feel like its somthing thats more than novelty since Ive tried it . Its has raised the bar for me in terms of emersion. If givein the chance you should def try it out because it is hit or miss with people .Never actually played a game that has gotten the reactions or adrenaline that vr has given me. I hope to see vr succeed and I plan to upgrade my pc and get vive or occulus next year.
Also psvr dosent require much room I can sit in a chair about 3 feet away and play MOST games , but there is a good about of wires an I have a dedicated man cave so its not a problem but I can see where the living room would be a no-go . Also If I was you an you do decide to get vr Id go for vr on pc even tho its way more expensive and takes up more room. But if its for novelty and price psvr.
