BioWare, the developer behind Mass Effect and Dragon Age, has had an entirely new property in the works for a while now - but we won't be playing it anytime soon. During EA's most recent investor call, CEO Andrew Wilson stated that the unannounced game has been pushed into the next financial year. In other words, it'll arrive at some point beyond March 2018.
We haven't actually seen the project in action yet, but we do kind of know what it's about. Wilson previously described the title as an action-adventure game rather than a role-playing game - BioWare's speciality. We also know that it'll be a "live service" title. Like Destiny, for example.
During the aforementioned investor call, Wilson had a little more to say about the project: "We’re very pleased with the progress of our new action IP from BioWare. The design is stunning. Gameplay mechanics are excellent, and the action will be exhilarating. The game is built around a live service, and through our creative process, we decided to add more to the disruptive new social design for our players. To accommodate that, we are moving the launch date for this project into fiscal year ’19." It sounds interesting at least, and it certainly marks a new direction for BioWare.

meh.
Darn right I wont.
After their handling of Mass Effect: Andromeda, I'm not terribly excited for anything coming out from them.
"Like Destiny" SKIP
Thanks for the memories, BioWare.
They can keep it after the travesty called Andromeda.
Amazing how people can be so dismissive of a game that hasn't even been shown yet because of a previous game (which wasn't made by them btw) and it's been very loosely compared to a game that happen to not like.

well there goes all my excitement
guess i'm just old but what happened to games having a focused single player story and not needing to be connected to everyone else
i play games to escape all the idiots in my life, i don't want to encounter them on my games too
LIVE SERVICE???? Well that means that.... I won't be getting it.
@adf86 To be fair, their track record hasn't been great. From Dragon Age 2 to Andromeda. People thought they might regain some of that old glory with Andromeda but that didn't turn out as expected. I think we're just tired of giving them a chance. Live service also doesn't sound too grand. Not every game maintains that appeal like Destiny.
Bioware hasn't made a really decent RPG in a long time. I'd argue their last really good one was ME1.
Always online boo give me single player offline any day
