True story: this author once sat opposite Kazunori Yamauchi (and Translator-san) eating a burger. A surreal moment, for sure.
This documentary from IGN includes some nice anecdotes from the luminary, as he speaks of his passion for photography among other things, and sheds some light on what makes Gran Turismo such an enduring and special series. It’s only short, but it’s nicely shot, and well worth the watch.

That was interesting I cannot wait to see the finished version of GT Sport.
Won't be long now.
I don't much care for driving games so I'm probably unfairly biased but it sounds pretty dull to me. I might try and give it a watch later and find out.
I love the series, this was a lovely little insight
Documentary.
First part - design philosophy, real driving, photo realistic courses, pushing the envelope in physics
Second part - rpg mechanics, polishing the UI, precision control through a pad, cars cars cars
Directors cut - the guy with a kazoo who makes the engine noises, the 3 guys on AI who love the conga, the spin your wheel in the back office they use for blag release dates.
Outtakes - the colouring artist turning one car into five, the manufacturing specialist adding 20 cars by reusing opels and calling them Vauxhall, slapping the kazoo player to make the braking sound.
The shot of Lake Pukaki makes me homesick...
Lake Bukkake?
