During Bethesda's E3 press conference, it highlighted two virtual reality titles it has in the works. DOOM: VFR is a made-for-VR game with the trademark lightning quick and bloody gameplay you know and love. Better yet is that it's heading for PlayStation VR later this year, as well as HTC Vive.
Bethesda did also unveil Fallout 4 VR, but right now it seems that it's only making its way to HTC Vive. Still, it's exciting to see big publishers pushing virtual reality with some of their most popular properties.

Unexpectedly awesome news.
Hell yeah 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😎
Great beginning! The seed is finally sown. Hope VR starts making strides. Great to see Xbox embracing VR too.
Sounds great but knowing Bethesda's track record I'll have to wait for reviews. Don't think I could handle the frame rate drops in VR.
Great to see that major developers/publishers are getting on board.
DooM in VR? Oh Jesus I cannot wait for that. FARPOINT proved that a fps game can work well within a VR environment. Pretty damn excited for this as the single player campaign from Doom was pretty stunning.
This is going to be an absolute must for me as long as it isn't a disaster.
I so hope it supports the Aim controller.
@Rudy_Manchego aim controller option is a must.
I wish the game didn't have the warp mechanic though, it rather upsets the immersion for me.
Awesome! This actually gives me hope that fallout vr was being saved for sonys conference tonight.
Now that is tempting reason to own a PSVR
This is big, I think it's possible because doom ps4 engine already running at 60 fps.
How many time have I bought into the Doom franchise over the years and I can't seem to stop. Great news for PSVR owners. Can't wait.
@Fight_Teza_Fight I wouldn't worry, they're only the publisher in this case and Doom is one of the silkiest experiences on PS4
Yes!!!!
@adf86 I prefer to walk manually too, but Doom is known for its quick-paced action (tense moments where you're constantly moving and turning to shoot) and that would sadly make Doom VFR a very nauseating experience for some if controlled like Farpoint. I think Bethesda did warps consciously.
Day one purchase!
@Totaldude911 oh dear disaster. I want to run round like a normal player within a VR environment. That warping has just ruined it for me.
@adf86 100% agree. Devastating news on the movement side of things.
@Totaldude911 I hope they include that option. I have played Farpoint with no issues so fingers crossed they include optional movement choices.
