Industry veteran – and PlayStation 4 architect – Mark Cerny appeared on Geoff Keighley’s PlayStation Live stream earlier today to show off Knack 2, and to the surprise of everyone… It actually looks really very good. While the original release was a very simplistic platforming affair, the sequel appears to be upping the variety significantly, building lots of cool puzzles around its shape-shifting formula.
Not only is the platforming significantly improved, but the combat looks better as well, with tons more attack options – and even the promise of couch co-op. This very much appears to be what the first game should have been, and we appreciate both Cerny and Sony for having such belief in the concept that it’s decided to give it a second shot.

Knack 2: Not Quite Knackered
wow the game look really good.I'm calling it now. pushsquare 9 out 10 review for knack 2 .word up son
I don't care what anyone else says, definitely looking forward to playing this sequel eventually, once I have the chance to play the first game.
Sometimes I think Mark Cerny was cloned from Bob Ross.
"and even the promise of couch co-op"
My son's will be shocked about the new couch co-op since they played thru the entire first game that way.
The original was a good 7/10 game that got a lot of flack because the media had it out for Sony for some reason.
I mean sure there wasn't much variety but it did what it set out to do by being a simple platformer for families. It also looked gorgeous, ran fantastically and controlled great all of which imo doesn't add up to a "bad" game no matter anything else surrounding it.
Wow, this looks surprisingly excellent! Between this and the Crash remake, some great PS4 platforming!
