Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be bringing whimsical fantasy and gorgeous graphics to PlayStation 4 this year, a Bandai Namco press release has confirmed ahead of time. Snapped by Kotaku's Jason Schreier, the text has the Japanese role-playing title pegged for a 10th November 2017 date. Nice.
While the game has always been slated to launch this year, there's definitely been speculation over whether it would actually hit its 2017 target. We certainly had our doubts as well - we're so used to delays these days that we thought it would inevitably be pushed into 2018. Not the case, it seems.
We imagine this date will be officially confirmed later today - possibly during Sony's press conference. Are you happy about this news? Celebrate in the comments section below.

Loved the first game , was soo sad tho. Does anyone know if it's a PS4 exclusive ? Or a timed thing ?
No way!
But I want the first ported to PS4 or Switch.
Yes! But at the same time, no! That means I have even less time to finish the first one!
I would so prefer this on Switch - I'll never be able to finish it on a tv!
Loved the curse of the white witch but this game will be different to the first, would love HD remaster . the welsh elf is hilarious eh droopy . Very happy its out this year
@chiptoon I dont want to play on a small screen.
This game got me more hyped than gow, spiderman or any other release. Can't wait for it. Yaaaay
@johnny30 Totally on the same page with you. 😀
Thank you Japan!
I regret not playing the first game. Stupid YLOD! Hopefully I can still enjoy this one even though I haven't played the first!
I liked the first game but couldn't love it because of the clunky combat system - if this retains the same atmosphere and delivers a great bs, we have a masterpiece!
nice
Great! I loved Ni No Kuni, can't wait for this one! =D
If this turns out to be good, then 2017 has been an insane year for Japanese games. Absolutely on fire.
@Flaming_Kaiser But its the Switch - you don't have to!
but I'm not trying to start a war - I'm just so sad I can't spend more tv time, and so can't really keep up with these lovely games. Still haven't played ff15. just started Nier and know it will take months to finish.
I'd equally love this on Vita.
Never actually got passed the 2nd dungeon in this game, perfect excuse to dust it off over Summer.
@ShogunRok Thanks for the info, hopefully this release date is officially confirmed.
yes best looking game on ps3
Still not 100% sold on thissssss. But I'm still pretty hyped, If that makes sense.
Oh yess this makes my rpg-heart shine!!
Apart from the main character (I'm not too keen on the look of him) this looks super.
Cant wait. I love the first one, although I am sad that gibli are not officially involved with the sequel.
Surely Mr. Drippy must make an appearance at some point. Right?
What an insane year 2017 will be (and has been)!
YES! I can't wait!
